There is definitely a balance to be struck between youth and experience. We’ll never know but my guess is we stay up in 22/23 if we had signed premier league experience over Tete, Souttar and Kristensen.

Could potentially field a side next season with Souttar, Vestergaard, Okoli, Ndidi and a target man striker next season 👀

Trust Cooper & Glover on this one. Low risk, high reward signing. Hopefully he has a god preseason and will see plenty of minutes before the league season starts.

It has been mentioned many times that cooper changes system depending on the opposition. Think we’ll be more expansive in some games and play on the counter in others.

IIRC he was great there when BR came in and then was asked to be more expansive and that’s when his performance levels dropped. He was poor in the last PL campaign due to Madders being pushed out wide, Tielemans checking out and both Soumare and KDH struggling for form.

If he does sign a new contract I hope we use him purely as a DM. He plays that role so well and isn’t the same player when asked to be creative. Just needs to win the ball and give it. This should help with his injury problems too as getting up and down like he was clearly wasn’t good for him

We don’t need to replace KDH if not playing the same system. If Wilf signs on and we sign Moder that leaves them along with Winks and Soumare as deep lying midfielders which Coops likes to play 2 of. Think Alves & Mcateer will be involved along with Fatawu and Mavididi to play wide. Leaves us just needing a more creative 10 who can play when we set up with one.

Maybe they think because he resembles Puyol he plays like him. Lets hope they don’t watch him play and we should be alright Would definitely sell him if the opportunity arose
