Agreed, he's not as bad as some people are making out. Not saying I'm in favour of this transfer. Far from it. Definitely far from a flashy or prolific player, but he is PL proven. I'm hoping if Hlozek and Zaha go through we won't actually need him. There's plenty of attacking options there to choose from. If we do sign Ayew though, he's a squad player and we just have to hope it's a short contract. We need to target another midfielder because as good as Buoanatte might be, we can't solely rely on him for creativity.

Here we go, the start of the new season! Based on preseason form, Spurs look set for a comfortable win. We need to make major improvements to stand any chance, but the new signings give me a bit of hope. I'll be backing the team no matter what anyway — hopefully Cooper and the boys can work miracles and keep us up.

Just listened to his post match interview. I think Steve knows just how desperate situation this is now & how badly we need to strengthen. I feel for him to be honest. Lens are no mugs and we just got outplayed all over the pitch. I don't really care about pre-season but we need to see a huge step up in our intensity. That team today looked lost, no game plan, no idea, nothing. If we do get relegated I at least expect some ****ing pride in our performances - similar to Luton last season. At least they had a ****ing go with what they had.

That's fair, I might be overestimating him, but I do miss having a striker of his ilk. He had a certain composure about him too. You definitely appreciate players like him more who came up trumps with important goals when you see someone like Daka wildly slashing at chances week in week out. All I'm saying.

If he's half as good as Ulloa then I'll be happy with that.

I want to have some hope but I can't find any. At the moment - this season feels like a non-starter. There's simply not enough goals in our team to stay up. Our squad is arguably the weakest in the division, plus we're getting slapped with a point deduction. We've got less than two weeks to pull about 3 or 4 rabbits out the hat and make ourselves competitive.

I've never seen him playbbefore, but wow, those highlights are impressive. Remarkable amount of control and skill from someone who's 6ft 6. However "weighing up a move" doesn't give me much confidence that we'll actually act on our interest

I really like him. Had an impressive spell at Watford. Definitely adds depth to our attack, and with BDC, Fatawu, Mavididi, and Asprilla, we have some pretty solid options behind the strikers. Need a few more signings like this before the start of the season.

This transfer window is getting more frustrating by the day. Other clubs seem to be making some great deals, we're left behind as usual.

Totally agree about the hideous sponsor and away shirt—i wouldn't be seen dead wearing that either. Bobby Reid, Okoli, and Golding seem like solid signings to me but as Cooper said, we're not Premier League ready. We still need to replace KDH and add quality in the final third, and with only a few weeks until the opener, we need to act fast.
