When it’s like 3 yards this makes sense, but to play devils advocate, this rule was brought in because of how often the flag went up, a goal was scored and chalked off and it turned out it was onside. The linesmen are instructed to do this so their hands are tied.

Are there stats for actively jumping out the way of shots to concede? He actually did that.

Fair play to the Portugal keeper they were all good saves. Can’t remember ever seeing a keeper save all the pens in a shootout before.

Thought it was a great game. Full credit to Slovenia they were absolutely excellent, shame that lad didn’t finish the chance. Defo fancy them in the pens and have done them at 5/4 a few mins ago, seems very generous. Still odds against now.

He wasn’t just crying he was full on having a meltdown. Compare that to modric who got up, focused and scored within 30 seconds. Levels.

I’ve still never seen Mbappe have a good game. Granted probably only seen him play 20 times but still, for the best player in the world he ain’t half average every time I watch him. Was the same with Zlatan, never saw him have a good game in probably the 50 times I watched him play.
