  1. Did the ref not give the standing count because the ropes kept him up? Which is the correct protocol? Or am I missing something?
  2. Fury should have finished it in the 7th/8th when he had the chance. He started too slow and lost steam at the end. Great fight and I gave it Usyk by 2 points personally, but I’d make it even Stevens in a rematch, odds wise.
  3. Ended up watching it, was a very good fight, technical. Think the inevitable rematch could be even better.
  4. What happened to that lad who came in here asking for advice after making a bit of a tit of himself (no offence if reading this) and got a stadium ban and wanted it over turned?
  5. Not sure my hatred for Leeds outweighs my hatred for the pint sized loser, or does it? Tough one.
  6. Can’t believe that, that’s criminal. I had all these grand plans of going here and going there to watch it and now it’s all fell through so was just going to listen to it. If they’re not offering radio coverage guess I’ll just have to find another way to watch it.
  7. Don’t think I’ve ever seen fury in such good shape. That cut does not look healed at all. Don’t think this goes all the way. I’m saying a bloody and battered Tyson to connect a combination and put him out in the 8th. As betting suggests this could go either way. Only thing I can’t see happening (so probably will) is Usyk sparking Tyson, I mean if he doesn’t fall to Wilder while rusty and massively over weight I don’t see how Usyk could do any serious damage, unless that cut gets popped early in which case would make that a possibility I suppose.
  8. End of 2026 I reckon, how many times was red dead 2 delayed and for how long? Sure it was over a year.
  9. Keep at all costs, for me. He’s a if not the heartbeat of the team and one of the few of real genuine quality we have.
  10. Finished Ted Lasso, season 3 was a serious drop off in quality, the writing was much worse and the episodes were far too long.
  11. I watched this last night. Biggest take away was the police were a shambles, and it certainly painted football fans in an awful light.
  12. Whatever you do don’t feel pressed or bullied in to giving it up for less than what it’s worth. And not before you know what that worth is.
  13. Strange, I had a similar issue with my Ferrari F50.
  14. Late to the party but binged the first series of Ted Lasso and really enjoying it. Genuinely funny sometimes, moving and he’s just so nice.
  15. Not sure, would need someone more experienced than me. My Amazon shares I decided to get (not a lot but it’s a start) are up 4% in the last week so I feel like the wolf of Wall Street.
  16. Good read, thanks.
  17. The standard is absolutely dreadful.
  18. He still has a good few years left near the top.
  19. And the thing is I love my job. Tax is obviously a sore subject for a lot of people and a lot of it is very, very backwards but I’ve worked out I’ve put thousands of kids through school, paid for hundreds of life saving operations etc since I took up my current role. I could take a job with more money somewhere else but I don’t want to. Happy to be putting in to the purse and hopefully the incoming government will be a bit more generous.
  20. And it’s tied to the state age so I won’t be seeing it any time soon, not like a private pension where you can take a chunk at 55 (you can but it cripples you). Just putting 400 aside every month in Amazon/global tech fund so I can hopefully take partial retirement before I’m dead.
  21. I’m a higher executive officer on 33.5k but if I was doing a similar job in the private sector I could comfortably be on 43.5k+. For metrics pension wise
  22. We have a winner. I pay in 4.6% a month and they pay in 27.8% which is great in terms of my retirement but the fact we’ve had real terms paycuts for 13 years (used to be an executive officer was paid 31% more than an administrative officer and now it’s 11%) sort of cancels it out though, and anyone who reads the daily mail or express seems to think I’m a scumbag by way of simply trying to do a job well sort of makes it wipe its face.
  23. The only good thing about my job is the 27% employee contribution. 3 guesses what I do.
  24. That’s why Ronnie can win so often without playing well in tournaments. Literally 9/10 players he’s beaten before a ball has been hit so as long as he isn’t absolutely abysmal he will win. As soon as a player gets to the table they put undue pressure on themselves thinking better clear up or I’ve had it. Then as long as he turns it up against the trumps and Williams of the game who genuinely aren’t fazed by him it’s job done.
  25. He’s eased him out the way. You’d be livid if that was given against you.
