  1. Stone roses - stone roses fleetwood mac - rumours black grape - it’s great when you’re straight… yeah engineers - engineers ian brown - the greatest could put another dozen in and might change sometimes, Beatles, oasis, Gomez, the verve, John Martyn, kings of convenience, the smiths, the supremes etc all got albums I love
  2. What separated seeing the roses back together and Ian brown singing them solo vs Liam doing the songs on his own and oasis getting back together is the roses were an amazing band, guitarist and drummer especially added a lot to the experience of seeing them. Oasis on the other hand seeing Liam sing them on his own is basically seeing oasis. Anyone can pick up a guitar and play oasis songs within a few weeks.
  3. The civil service is very flexible. The initial training (usually 5 weeks) you’ll have to be in office but after that you can make a workplace adjustment request and in my experience they’re very accommodating, though varies department to department. In my team a few people have fully remote working agreed. Something like caring responsibilities are generally good grounds for remote working contracts.
  4. The only thing I’m not willing to overlook is the fact that Riccy p isn’t in the 11. It’s criminal our best player isn’t playing. Simple as.
  5. Win lose or draw how then hell do you look at us and think Ricardo shouldn’t be in that team, not even come on at any point (might still give him a cameo). Absolutely baffling.
  6. We were crap because we have a good training ground. Got it.
  7. They’re taking the living piss. Why 10%? Why not 8, why not 15? Do they just pick it out their backside for a laugh? Record profits incoming again, without doubt.
  8. When he’s good he’s very good but there’s no doubt he has massive lapses of concentration and sometimes positions himself like he’s never defended before. But you have to accept that and hope the coaching can improve him, if he didn’t have them faults he wouldn’t be here playing for us. Get behind him and don’t write him off.
  9. Jenas haha. Twit.
  10. Without doubt he’s better, decent player, but not Chelsea standard imo and obviously Enzo agrees. Don’t dislike him as a player at all just never liked him, can’t put my finger on it and I’m not one to dislike players generally, especially not players who did a job for us, just something about him.
  11. Lovely to read chilwell is deemed surplus to requirements. Few ex players I don’t root for and even rarer I actively dislike them. Chilwell just always rubbed me up the wrong way, even when he was here. So off you ****, Ben.
  12. The way I look at this is in terms of generational wealth. Are you wealthy enough that basically, barring breeding absolute idiots, your lineage will never have to struggle for as long as the bloodline continues? When you have that type of wealth you invariably get wealthier as investing a few billion quid will forever be growing, so tax those type of people to the absolute hilt and redistribute it to the people at/near the bottom. Obviously that’s way, way too simplistic to work but that type of tax is what I think the vast majority of people would be in favour of.
  13. I’m 3% down over all, my amd and global tech fund took an absolute hammering, was 7% down though so bouncing back.
  14. Just got back from Alien Romulus. 6/10.
  15. Got my 65’ LG C3 about 4 months ago now, cost 1150 with different voucher codes direct from LG. Still get blown away by the picture from time to time. Blistering stuff.
  16. Was going to start Snowfall because of the chat on here but the missus didn’t really fancy it and as happened by chance started watching black snow on I-player. Australian whodunnit, found it really enjoyable, polished off the 6 episodes in 2 nights. Nothing groindbreaking but was well told and kept you guessing. 7/10.
  17. Legally speaking what’s to stop any other club saying they don’t accept any charges until Man City have faced their day? Fairness of competition and all that, if Man City are docked a division then that’s 1 place you don’t have to worry about for relegation, seems perfectly reasonable to me.
  18. I’d argue he’s our best player and can’t think anyone being reasonable would have him outside our top 3 best players. He simply has to play if fit.
  19. Heard marvel have quietly canned a lot of the people behind the scenes responsible for the absolute guff they’ve been putting out post end game. Hopefully true and indicative of a shift in general in big blockbusters.
  20. Haha yes I watched that, I just really like the atmosphere and scope of it more than anything.
  21. I’m one of the few that really, really likes Prometheus. Thought covenant was just okay.
  22. Just booked my tickets for Alien Romulus opening night at the local imax, bring it on.
