Xabi Alonso and "managerial experience"
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to Koke's topic in General Football and Sport
Why single out moyes, Alonso has done more in 1 year than 99+% of managers do in a lifetime. Don’t really see the point of the comparison. Alonso will never do what pep has done so he’s bound to end up shit as well? Pep won’t do what Ferguson has done so pep is crap. -
Will we get promoted this season (Poll)
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
The only reason we might is because Leeds and Ipswich have suddenly fallen off a cliff as well. Brings Southampton back in to it potentially. Just want us to give it a real go not be knocking it around at the back on 93 minutes when we’re a goal down. -
Haha, just every time I come across her in the news it baffles me she isn’t called out for her views/behaviour.
-
Notice the national treasure Rachel Riley is at it again, spouting lies and hate online then back tracking with absurd ‘I didn’t mean that’ when ‘that’ is just a direct quote of what she said. Dunno how she keeps her job at channel 4, shes a nasty piece of work.

Been watching that show on ITVX about murder in the Mormon community with Andrew Garfield. 3 episodes in and I’m really enjoying it.

Might as well give players like Albrighton, coady and Nacho a chance. Said it elsewhere but what’s the worst that will happen? We play rubbish and lose? That’s been happening for months now anyway and will continue to happen if we don’t change something. We need a personnel and shape change, anyone can see it. Whether it’s Albrighton or not (I would personally give him a game) SOMETHING has to change or we’re sleepwalking in to the playoffs.
-
First part goes for half the team and second half goes for all of them. If he puts it in the net who cares. We need to change personnel and shape. He’s one of the squad and should be utilised. If not him then cannon or one of the kids. Just try something new. It can’t hurt. I’d rather we lost these last few games 3-0 with a totally different 11 than sleptwalked in to possession based ‘close fought, full throttle’ losses with the same dross we’ve been putting out for months now.
-
Yeah he’s inconsistent and yeah he doesn’t seem bothered this year but if we keep playing daka and wilf as an attacking mid we will keep playing how we’re playing. Personally I’d play nacho behind/alongside vardy and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work what’s the worst that happens? We lose? We’re losing anyway. Give it a go.

Leicester Mercury/ Leicestershire Live

The headline makes you think he somehow failed to eat. Did they not let him in, does he have trouble chewing? The real questions. -
I had the second and fifth out of the 4 I went for so did okay.
-
Lots of knee jerking here, he’s woefully out of form and low on confidence. I blame the manager more for continuing to pick him. Run vardy in to the ground for a few weeks or give nacho another chance, cant be any worse.

Heroes was so absolutely dreadful after its initial good impression I certainly couldn’t give a monkeys. Only thing remotely of that nature I’m looking forward to is new series of the boys in a few months, that’s a top tier show imo.
-
What I’d do, yeah. Agree won’t happen.
-
Underwhelming. Still fancy us to come out firing second half. Kevin for Yunus at ht.
-
I only saw a headline, so in layman’s terms they’re pointing a hose upwards and telling the 3 year olds they’re making it raining?
-
Don’t the Saudis literally control the weather though or did I dream that?
-
Curb your enthusiasm finale was perfect, what a fantastic show. Read LD said he will keep working so look forward to what he might do next.

2 points is for how much over spending? So less than a win, but over spend by the cost of a goalscorer or shot stopper and it’s punishment how? It just baffles me this psr and whatever the other one is called is about. Bore off. Killing the game along with var, this might legitimately be my last season following football. It’s a push to say I’ve ‘followed’ it this year more than kept my eye on it anyway, certainly the premier league. -

Vardy has done it to great effect for years and never heard any of us complaining, it’s not diving, I wouldn’t consider it cheating either, myself. -

Watched this for about 20 mins now just got back from a day out with the kids and knew it was on. Just can’t stand the commentators, I used to really like Gary Neville but can’t stand him now, Carragher gobs on kids, the main commentator is awful. At least the games open and good though. -

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
How so? Did he make a mistake today? Absolutely. Did it cost us? No. Has he been excellent all season? Yes. What’s bizarre about that exactly? -
Bristol city let me down today for a 350/1 6 fold, had Luton 3s and cov 13/5 in it who both obliged, bit of a sickener! well done bear, they not talking of shutting you down or restricting yet?

This is why I rarely venture to this section of the forum these days, too much negativity. I get a lot of it is warranted, with how the club is run etc. but today is literally the perfect day, we win and the 2 promotion rivals lose. What else do you want? I can’t have anything negative said about our keeper either beyond the obvious that he made a howler today, doubt anybody would say he didn’t. For 40 games he’s been outstanding, everyone makes a mistake sometimes. Christ.- 377 replies
