  1. It has been in recent weeks. Among the worst I’ve seen
  2. We play an awful lot of long balls now, whereas before it was only if we absolutely needed to, it now seems a go to pattern of play. Perhaps explains why we are having less control these days
  3. He got a bit of a knock tbf
  4. Looks like Enzo’s hungry like the Wilf
  5. This must be one of the worst professional football pitches in the country
  6. Poor pen that - still gone in and that’s the main thing. Brilliant considering we look shit today
  7. Faes has looked a little iffy defensively for a few weeks. I’d have brought in Coady to play along Vestergaard. You simply cannot do that in the situation of this game
  8. **** me what a let off
  9. Seriously need to take advantage of Ipswich throwing it away at Cardiff. Could be the turning point that we need to get some momentum back
  10. Having digested all the comments, and thought about this long and hard, I’ve come to the conclusion that we need to win today.
  11. Fair?! That’s way more than he’ll ever be worth, as good as he’s been and improved this season.
  12. I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic…?
  13. Also as well, it was widely reported only a few weeks ago how we’re committing to sign Fatawu. I wonder how that’s going…
  14. I wonder if Enzo was assured this wouldn’t happen. You wouldn’t be surprised if he decides to move on in the summer.
  15. Particularly Villa - they will surely need regular champions league income to underwrite their expenditure. Another ticking time bomb…
  16. It is depressing, but if FFP didn’t exist how sustainable are our finances on a Championship income/budget? Not very. It is hard to see beyond the calamitous cock up of player recruitment and wage structure over the last few years. We paid players top whack who either weren’t up to that level, or those who were realised it wasn’t sustainable and have chosen the run down contracts crippling us financially - but then again it’s the person responsible for authorising signings and wages. No way Vichai would have let this happen and let it spiral out of control. We were such a well run outfit with him in charge, and sadly those who took on top roles afterwards just have not had the vision and foresight.
  17. I have no idea if the players have known this for the last few weeks, but could this partly explain why everyone looks mentally and physically shot to bits?
  18. The fact that no one seems to have been held to account for this calamity is probably more unbelievable than the turn of events itself
  19. What a pointless thread this is. I’d be more interested to discuss if Pleats team that nearly took us down would beat Holloway’s side.
  20. And the team in third - who are looking ropey at the moment - still need more than 0.5 points per game more than us over 10 games. Getting Wilf back is huge for us as the midfield needs bodies, and he boosts the points per game big time.
  21. We’ve hit a rough patch - and won tonight - anyone calling for managerial changes is a moron. On a side note, I felt quite comfortable with Coady at the back tonight. Strong and experienced presence.
  22. The two cubs have been on different trajectories and unsurprisingly it shows when taking the fan base as a whole
  23. Ipswich wtf I swear they’re not even that good. Must just be fit.
  24. It’s been said many times, but this ref - Jesus Christ what a tool
