I know people say that we have players that will give us a chance of at least making the playoffs but the culture at the club is so apathetic that a relegation battle is not out of the question. We have no manager, not many pre season games, no likely incoming players , stuck with too many lazy half arsed players and a host of young players who probably don’t know how much involvement they will have this season. I would say it could all change over the next couple of weeks but we have been saying this for 2 months and nothing has changed. They are taking us for fools now. Im a season ticket holder and always will be but am now strapping myself in for a real downturn of mid table championship mediocrity or worse.

Looks like we are going to be in limbo land for a while until King Power sort themselves out. This is not a preseason that looks as though it will be a prelude to a successful season. A new manager may come in and find themselves hobbled within a month or 2.

Could be a few clubs with a bit of momentum and optimism this season. At the moment we don’t look a football that is geared up for a good season this time around. Guess all will become clearer as we move into July but with so much uncertainty around the manager, the players, points deduction we could be facing a slow start. Even though our current players are probably good enough for play offs if their attitude is not right we’ll be mid table, always threatening to get near the play offs but falling away.

I also went to Tigers yesterday, actually been to their last 3 home games, as above seem light years ahead in a few ways. Obviously is a key difference. Tigers are seen as one of the biggest , if not the biggest team in English Rugby union and the regular fans exude that confidence which I guess comes with ‘big club’ status. If you were parents with young children it would be 50/50 if you chose football or rugby and i fear that the whole experience at Tigers could quite easily sway a person to pick Tigers over City. Other plus points was nice to stand in a big crowd and have a beer. Another plus point after 9 months of dross it was nice to watch a game between 2 competitive teams with something to play for.

Season ticket renewed though i’ll probably ditch the away days and watch a few more AFC Hinckley games. I just want the club to recognise it’s failings but then actually do something about. Biggest fear is they won’t and we end up like Stoke meandering around the lower reaches of the championship.

Thank god it’s all over. -
Be curious to hear the reception at the end.

At the moment those 2 points dropped against us is the difference between finishing 5th and 7th🤣

Wonder what lies he has been told , seems to be a recurring theme with our club now

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
whetstonefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Surely the club would not be so disrespectful to Ruud to leave him not knowing 4 weeks after relegation has been confirmed. Whether you think he should stay or go you can’t treat people like this. Perhaps they have agreed it will be announced after Sunday -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
whetstonefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He’ll probably end up staying but he showed no real acumen to take something from the games that mattered when we were still connected to the rest of the PL. These games put a slight positive slant on everything but no judgement should be made on any of these games. The club will have to make some announcements after next Sunday as at some point we do have to plan for next season otherwise before you know it July will arrive and we’ll be flaying around for players and maybe even a manager. -
Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance
whetstonefox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I know it’s all about Vardy tomorrow but I would love it if there could be at least one ‘there’s only one Nigel Pearson’ rendition sang by the WHOLE crowd. Such an important figure in our history and with all he has gone through fully deserves a good old cheer -
Strange day today Forest qualify for Europe and the owner goes mental for the wrong reasons Liverpool won the league and boo one of their own
-
One would hope if it is Dyche he would have the strength of character to make demands of the board that are kept. The club must be getting a reputation in footballing circles of being both a soft touch and unreliable with their promises

With Skys new Premier League deal starting from next season there are going to be even more crap matches to switch off/endure.

LCFC 2-0 Southampton, post-match thread
whetstonefox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s impossible to know how both clubs will get on next season, appoint the right manager and start again for both of us. Now I know what other fans must think of us when we roll into town, they were appalling. -
so many empty seats this close to kick off☹️
-
as crazy as it seems their mad owner will be furious if they ‘only’ qualify for Europa League. Nuno will be under massive pressure next season if they finish below 5th. Be even funnier if we could add to their woes but we are so poor we are still probably going to lose

Saints (H) Pre-match - The El Shatico
whetstonefox replied to iancognito's topic in Leicester City Forum
Same old same old, 0-0 at half time, they realise how poor we really are , 0-2 loss per usual. Our players get clapped off by the alarming amount of fans who accept low standards from highly paid players who dont give a damn. Ruud has a laugh with a Southampton player and the players give a half hearted clap and Conner Coady goes on social media repeating that he still can’t believe the reception Wolves fans gave him last week. -
Must be almost certain we’ll play Wrexham first day of the season. Sky will demand it.

The plane was not really for those in the stadium, it got national attention, i took a photo and sent it to my non leicester mates who were surprised (they thought it was just me having a downer on the way the club is run) If nothing changes and we are rudderless in mid table next year perhaps it will be time for tennis balls🤣
-
Big test for Forest , not so much that it’s Spurs, more the fact that after previous bad results they have tended to bounce back straight away. If they did lose tonight it would suggest they are feeling the pressure. We just need to turn up at their place and finish off their dreams.

Seeing how Ricardo gets on is the only thing of any real interest with that lineup
