Get a couple of decent signings defensively, we must be looking to win 3 out of the next 5 games. Those 2 home games against Palace and Fulham now fall under must win. Villa are no great shakes this season , Spurs , who knows and Everton is always a draw!
-
Villa have been a bit hit or miss , need to go there looking for a win rather than sit back. At some point we need to win a game to give us any hope.Beat Villa , get a couple of signings in before the 2 home games and we might have some sort of lift off.

We can longer afford to treat games as a free hit, at some point we will have to win a couple of games we wouldn’t have thought we’d get anything from. Without a surprise result here and there I think we’ll struggle to get what we need.

Wolves 0-3 H Post Match Thread

It was shocking to see how badly both ourselves and Wolves have regressed if you compare the team and performances from say around 5 years ago. Obviously we are in a worse state than Wolves but unless something changes in the way Wolves owners act they will be circling the drain each season till they finally drop. Only Everton appear to be immune from continuing to avoid the drop. -
It would allow Coady to focus on his media career! Id take them both as I can’t see our scouting team producing any unknown gems. Chilwell with something to prove and it if went wrong we could always remind him of Wembley 2021! Maguire would be useful , not particularly mobile but an upgrade. In reality i’ll be surprised if either of them rock up at our place.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

And no surprise both seasons ended in relegation -
Given the amount of fixtures Liverpool will prob start a weakened team and leave their key players on the bench just in case.

Top should have cleared the likes of Rudkin and Whelan 2 years ago, they’d overstayed their welcome. He needs urgently some fresh blood to give the club clear focus. If he has it in him I doubt it but today has convinced we are a racing certainty for relegation and they’ll be no easy route back. The Championship is full of clubs who just drift aimlessly, we have the look of a club about to enter that club.

The Wilderness years start here. -
Just need to summon up the spirit of January 1981, easy

I’ll will be genuinely intrigued to see who , if anyone, signs him in the summer.

I know it’s not an exact science as football is so fast but if you are going to leave please make sure Leicester don’t have the ball. We had to stand up to let 2 people out and although I saw Vardys goal I’m sure i impaired the people sat behind me.

We were due a score line like this -
If Rudkin had any respect for Top he would have resigned in May 2023. He has to be sacked, a specialist in failure. Of course he won’t be going anywhere

I hope someone in the away end has a banner saying ‘ Simpson,Huth ,Morgan and Fuchs I miss you ‘ I have no faith this club will recruit decent defenders in January, in fact by Jan 31st we’ll probably have 7 crap defenders instead of 5 -

VAR down! fire alarm at Stockley Park, controversial decision incoming no doubt

Gives us a chance.

Keeping him could have catastrophic consequences for the club.If he is here into the new year can’t see how we stay up. Hard to imagine us bouncing back up this time if the worst does happen.
-
Quite a few grumbles from the people around me, becoming more apparent to everyone he is out of his depth. Apart from the last 5 minutes of the first half it was so poor. And of course nothing will change and we’ll limp to another defeat next week. Make the change now to give us any chance. And of course we know that will not happen. Just so deflating.
-
At least the people who run the club know what delaying sacking a manager can mean🤔 Surely the opening paragraph on the invisible investigation into 22/23 was ‘don’t leave it too late to make a big decision’ Quite simply , if he’s here for another 4 games or more we will be relegated.

ooh calm down it’s Sunday

I hope for his sake , and more importantly ours , he can grow in confidence which seems a ridiculous thing to say.I had previously thought , without too much research, that he was a progressive coach but that has not been on show so far. If he can get 7 points from the next 3 that buys him time. I am still unsure on the identity he wants this team to have as seems over reliant on a bit of magic or luck. Unless something goes badly awry he is not going to get the sack.
