Bournemouth (H) Pre match thread (05.10.24, 3pm)
whetstonefox replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in Leicester City Forum
given our record against Bournemouth is awful, stretching back to those Boxing Day 0-1s when Pleat was in charge and Cooper has never beaten them, I have never felt more confident of a Leicester win -
he’s as much use as a supply teacher
-
First half was poor but christ what is this new hell.
-
It’ll be 3-0 at half time to Arsenal with a final score of 4-0 as they take their foot off the pedal. They’ll be no changes at half time and afterwards Cooper will say he will have to look at the first half performance again to see what he got wrong and as always learn sod all.
-
I was willing him to do well but I can’t see what identity he is trying to create. Sad but he has to go, I fear we’ll limp on till March repeating the blunder of hanging onto Rodgers for way too long.
-
Good for him, good for us!
-
No excuses next week , got to win and make a statement.
-
Probably just one of those moves that does not work out. He may or may or may not come good but the only way I can see him improving is with a sustained run in the team and that currently seems unlikely. Shame as I thought he might be a real asset , and he may yet be. He is not one of those players who doesn’t give a damn so i wish him well in his efforts to find a place in the team.

2-2 Palace, A Post Match Thread
whetstonefox replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
His game management displayed a concerning lack of confidence in himself. The team has enough to get the points needed but today was such a good chance to get the first win monkey off our backs -
Him and Winks appear to have a love hate relationship

RIP Sol, sounded a top guy. Strange how certain players , no matter their length of time with the club, make you smile when you remember them.
-
RIP Sven, such a calm guy , very hard to dislike, could not quite do it for either England or ourselves but the 5-1 in Germany was a truly special saturday night out in a packed pub .

Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official
whetstonefox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I just hope we give the guy a chance. Obviously it would not be good if we then don’t sign any other striker but for the player himself we appear to be getting an experienced premier league player , hard working, and probably a good influence in the dressing room. Let’s hope it works out. -
Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread

This team has character. Add a couple more and we stand a chance -
Here comes Jordan Ayew!
-
If the club can make some good decisions with transfers in the next 2 weeks and if we only get deducted a maximum of 6 points (4 would be ideal given we are clearly guilty so have to take a hit for 22/23 season) there are signs looking at the other teams we could stay up. If is doing a lot of the heavy lifting though!
-
Tomorrow is being treated like a free hit by the club, dangerous game as we could get walloped. Fulham next saturday is where our season starts on the assumption we have some more additions
-
The £20m figure is surely the maximum we’ll pay based on us staying up. If we can somehow get a striker and a left back, we’ll perhaps not be the most attractive team to watch but we’ll battle hard and hope to scrape a few 1-0 shithouse wins along the way. Next week is crucial in terms of more new signings and will be the difference between 20 points or 40 or whatever is needed to stay up.
-
As always we’ll just be mildly annoyed.
-
In May next year we’ll look back and think it was all so obvious the season was going to be embarrassing bordering on disastrous and wonder why nothing was done to prevent us at least being competitive

Concerns about the direction of the club
whetstonefox replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
That’s a disgrace for a premier league club. It feel like they are happy to take all the money and offer not a lot in return. I accept that as a season ticket holder you have good and not so good seasons , that’s football, but it feels like the club just want to take our money and take advantage of our loyalty. This could quite easily be the worst season since 1977/78. -
Sold to Brentford £27m

Competition: How many shots will we have against Tottenham?
whetstonefox replied to Mark's topic in Leicester City Forum
7 shots (which. in reality are power puff efforts) and none on target
