Yes - I’m confused it’s being questioned much silva is onside when he’s competing with the keeper once it’s headed, he’s offside but he’s not in his line of vision and not close to any contact

I think you have to hear it for yourself rather than take a description I’ll wait to comment until I hear it -

It’s subjective Some officials will give it, some won’t. If the ref sees an incident and judges it to not be a foul then the var can only intervene if the refs view of the incident is plainly wrong - basically if it’s a howler. My view of that shirt pull was that the striker never seemed to attempt to run any faster and ayew simply seemed to be running along whilst holding his shirt. If Taylor had given it then fair enough but he didn’t and therefore it’s referee’s call. watch leeds’ second goal on Friday night and you’ll see the striker holding the defenders shirt to keep them at arms length. Shirt holding and pulling in one on one tussles has become part of the game. If we go down that road we need to make sure that it’s for absolute cast iron decisions where the party sinned against had no input themselves and where the pull has definitively had a consequence. -

Reason that var didn’t intervene with their claim was that Taylor said he saw the incident and he didn’t think it was consequential. It’s not clear that it was so it’s not a clear error Taylor obvs didn’t see the vardy pull so it was easier for var to intervene (and it was clearly consequential) -

Yep - probs at Chelsea next season -
Interesting game now we’d expect Man City to win this from the same position

He’s got thirty yards before he reaches the box he would get to the ball around thirty yards out I can see what you’re saying but he doesn’t have the ball at his feet so he’s able to sprint onto it given that the ref didn’t send him off you could definitely argue it wasn’t a clear DOGSO and therefore shoutdnt be a VAR overturn.
-
I reckon he easily gets to the ball before the keeper and white and then he has a shot on goal available to him so it’s a red, even though the offence is in the centre circle

Playing Abdul as a marauding right back isn’t how anyone would start a game so he has to play on the right and facundo needs to be further inside

At this time, you wouldn’t back him to adjust to the pace of the PL and we don’t really have the time to indulge him …… -
Yeah - that will do it

Tbf, today is as long as I’ve seen them play all season. Clearly Brussell has had a bit of a rethink and decided he needs some points to avoid the tin tak however, our defensive shape is incredible and we’re not getting any real benefits in attack as a trade off

Cooper will probably take that if he can find a way of blaming the ref -

Based on the tenure of our owners. The only coaches who didn’t get long at the start of a campaign were Sousa and shakey. Mind you, Shakey’s record was 1-3-4 when he was sacked after GW8 ……… ( and the four defeats were against rich six opposition). My recollection of that period was the football was desperate- just kick it long for vards to chase and hope something drops for us.). If we got smashed by 5 today then they may think ‘oh, I wonder if Steve is really the right fella’. -

We set up last season perfectly for this mob. Aggregate scoreline was lots to us and not many for them. I fear today they will play around us and we won’t have enough weapons to hurt them on transition - cos that’s what soton give you - lots of transitions -

Expect an unchanged side why would he make any changes (unless facundo isn’t physically right after his late return) -

Managed the last 8 games of the season and won 5 of them - relied on dortmund drawing their last game to get across the line. Technically you’re right - morally you’re not 😄 -
