  1. She shoots her mouth off every six weeks - it wasn’t a 66/1 outsider rocking up !
  2. twitter is actually very funny atm on Cameron ….
  3. Incredible to think that Cameron must have already spent all the ‘incentives’ he took from his lobbying I suppose being foreign sec means some pretty attractive trips to places like Saudi and the gulf states ….
  4. Rishi is a solid leaver
  5. I meant no to the question whether his appointment would mean the govt take a stance that would see us more closely align to the EU to eventually rejoin
  6. Er ………no. The govt is pretty much completely staffed by leavers. (and ignoring the last bit cos that simply won’t happen) but it’s interesting for sure
  7. Sewerella sacked
  8. All disinformation and propaganda I’m sure that both sides will indulge in this What I’ve seen is highly likely to be simply videos of tv or film productions being made somewhere in the region and being portrayed on SM as ‘Pallywood’. There were a couple of videos which were clearly staged and and obvious attempt at propaganda but the majority claiming to show staged events were clearly exactly that and taken completely out of context by the poster. (Whether maliciously or through ignorance). The fact that none of these videos has been highlighted by the Israeli govt (afaik) is all you need to know about their veracity.
  9. Whilst I wouldn’t want to query amir’s tweet, the doctor stated a sniper had shot patients. could he actually be certain that this wasn’t accidental cross fire as there are gun battles going on just outside of the hospital. Secondly, the doctor doesn’t state where the sniper has come from ? Has amin just assumed it must be an IDF soldier? If it was an IDF soldier then Israel will be certain to say that they were shot at from this area of the hospital. (irrespective of whether that happened - tbh, I struggle with the idea that an IDF sniper is shooting at patients inside a hospital - there are hundreds of civilians in the grounds who would make much easier targets if they just wanted to shoot civilians dead for ‘target practice’). Of course again, I couldn’t be certain that there weren’t rogue IDF soldiers going outside of their orders. there were some reports the other day that Israel had asked civilians staying in the hospital grounds to leave through a protected exit route and make their way south away from the battle zone of gaza city. That when some started leaving through the designated exit, they were then shot at by Hamas fighters who want civilians to remain in the hospital as they need them there as some kind of protection in the area. I have no idea if this is true (as we don’t know re Amir’s tweet) The babies are a huge issue that simply needs to be dealt with urgently. Another is reported to have died today from a stomach problem. Yesterday, Israel said they would help evacuate them but I think that has been dropped because there aren’t facilities in the south to take this many premature babies. BN has been quoted that yesterday evening, Israel left 300 litres of diesel for the hospital to take and use to ensure the incubators could be run. However this diesel had not yet been taken by the hospital and Israel could not find out why. Again, no one will know if this is true or just made up. it seems clear that Israel are hell bent on securing the area around the hospital - they also know the risk this poses to the image of the conflict and the continued support of the USA in this regard. They must be certain that the bunkers below ground there are vital to Hamas and that they believe sinwar is holed up in that particular underground network or a significant number of hostages are secured there.
  10. Yeah - completely out run in that second half and so open in front of the back four
  11. I’ve seen plenty of left wing anti semitism - agree unlikely to be physical attacks if anything I consider that worse because at least the right wing are blatant about their hatred of ‘others’.
  12. Is that semantics or semitics ? (Couldn’t resist ) To be Jewish and Israeli are not the same and over the past decade it’s become more blurred than before. Hence the discussion does anti Israel = anti semitism ? (Which primarily depends whether your anti Israel stance is ref its existence or some of its policies ). However, at the same time, anyone who supports Israel is defined as a Zionist. But that word has taken on a dark side over the years when it really shouldn’t as a basic description.
  13. I think you’ll find its liverpool so it means more Holly ……. I’m prepared to consider a whole box of curly wurlies !
  14. So we’ll probably get two curly wurlies then ……
  15. it’s only going to be overturned if it’s a howler to give it - forwards and defenders are pulling and pushing each other all the time. It looked like they both grabbed each other to begin with - someone will always make contact first. Cucarella’s mistake was to carry on when Haaland had let go and to have a handful of the shirt when Taylor looked at them. If Haaland had been the only shirt puller before cucarella then made his tug then I think they may have intervened
  16. He has his own random noises aswell
  17. Watch them try and find an offside interference on this 😄
  18. They pulled each other cucarella then continued the pulling when the cross actually came in its not a great decision to give it but once it’s given it’s not a clear error either - just very soft
  19. Var hasn’t got involved not needed
  20. Just take the frigging penalty it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other the ref has given a pen so just deal with it - there’s no howler there (just a poor decision)

    Dementia

An ugly disease and so painful for those who have to deal with it and its consequence. I found myself unable to relate to my mum being the person I’d known for so long. It was like she was just an empty human who just wasn’t my mum. the last two years being mostly during covid didn’t help that and probably hastened her eventual passing. because it’s such a slow demise, I think it helped in the sense that losing a parent is so very difficult. I came to terms with her death some time before it happened.
  22. I had no issue with him going there - they have a strong record of giving 16/17 y o an opportunity. Man City is a different kettle of fish entirely (unless you’re rico Lewis)
  23. It wasn’t - infact the worst example was a swastilka inserted into a Star of David to make an extremely offensive shape - I believe that the met are looking for this particular lady (according to twitter she’s a Labour councillor) The march in France is against anti Semitic incidents that have occurred there since the beginning of October (like the woman in Lyon who opened her door and was stabbed) it should be noted that a swathe of star of David’s daubed on buildings in Paris was apparently the work of the Russian FSB ! it’s not a competition between Muslims and Jews to see who can feel the most uncomfortable in their country but it often seems that it’s painted a such I know people down here who won’t travel into central London on public transport because their fear being identified as Jewish. The number of reported incidents (less than twenty a day) makes this unlikely to happen but you can understand their reticence.
  24. I didn’t see the game my reliable stream failed Did they go man for man on winks and inverted hamza ? Did they try and press us high or did they stand off ? EDIT: I see the answer above so our poor form matches the games where decent opponents have gone man for man with us. Even qpr caused us issues in properly controlling the game. so this is a new situation for the coach to work his way through and it could take some time for the players to grasp what he requires of them
  25. I saw a few swastika inspired placards at the peace march yesterday fortunately it was a massive minority (and those I saw photos of did not seem to be in the hands of Muslims who I believe appreciate the nuances) , but it does reveal that some pretty ugly anti semites were drawn to the event the French have a march this afternoon against anti semitism and marine Le Penn is attending. the left are not. The way that traditional left/right seems to be re aligning on the ‘anti semitism ticket’ is strange to say the least.
