  1. If hamza is in hong kong next Tuesday then I’ll wager he isn’t back in time for the weekend game 😄
  2. most Ukrainians that came (especially early) were women and their kids people seem to have a thing about young men because it’s fits a narrative
  3. Won’t we all be ‘people of colour’ in a couple of hundred years ?
  4. They dropped him last set of fixtures he’s not been recalled (shock )
  5. Maybe we’ve arrived at a place where a mass of society doesn’t actually know what racism is.
  6. Jenrick so too right wing for reform 😄 he’d be apoplectic at Stansted arrivals in August …….
  7. We sold one of our best ever players directly to Everton Our last big sale is now at Everton everton are a big club that’s been run very badly
  8. Directly or indirectly ……….
  9. Wonder how our average possession compares to 2023
  10. Not sure about the veracity of that video Mac - those fishermen looked to be wearing clothes that didn’t reflect temps in the upper twenties the official x account of the flotilla tweeted yesterday that it wasn’t about the volume of aid on the boats - take from that what you wish to.
  11. For final clarity on the flotilla - aid across all the boats totalled 2 tonnes. That’s like 2 ford transits. And yet hundreds of thousands across Europe are protesting (in at least one case violently) that this hasn’t been allowed to arrive in Gza. some positive news is that someone has been arrested for the peacehaven mosque fire attack at the weekend
  12. Lineker just interviewed on sky mentioned that he was v unhappy to see Susan pushed out. Said rudders is ‘man marking’ the owner ! pretty clear what he thinks and we should realise that he will know plenty that he can’t speak about
  13. Not much head protection when he played the game. Very sad.
  14. not really I think 99% of people just want to live their lives
  15. we can win without it no thanks
  16. It’s an accepted fact in football that the ball is quicker than the man - hence passing it around will open gaps in th3 opposition set up clearly this fact was decided without watching us playing it around where the covering players move faster than our passes …..
  17. People have no idea what the politics of individual Jews are what they think about events elsewhere in the world is anyone asking the British Muslim community to condemn that tens of thousands of Christian’s have been slaughtered in Nigeria by those who claim to act in the name of Islam? Of course not - it’s nothing to do with them. So why ask the British Jewish community to condemn the actions of the Israeli govt ? FWIW, I would say that support for the Israeli govt amongst British Jews is around 50/50 whereas support for the state is more than 90%. However, any heinous action of a british Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or Jew (especially so within this country) is absolutely to be condemned by community/faith leaders within Britain. It is their responsibility to comment upon domestic matters like that.
  18. I haven’t been keen to slag off the board whilst she was in place because I know some of the things she’s done over the years and what a capable person she is. we won’t find out the reasons that she’s now left. it’s possible that top wants to do some things that she wouldn’t countenance- we’ll find out over the next year or two.
  19. I have to tell you that much of what the club did which was good was nearly always down to her. She has an instinct of what is the right thing to do (especially in the community). However bad you think we are in this respect atm, prepare yourselves !
  20. Sadly Mac, too many people in our society can’t be trusted to keep their debates peaceful. (Someone already replied about this )
  21. It’s nuts how politics has moved in some areas the current isr govt are happy to have TR as a guest but the next one likely wouldn’t. the idea that the Jews are allies of those towards the extreme right just doesn’t compute. The far right may appear to have their minds set on the most recent immigrants to our country but history tells us that whilst it starts somewhere, it never finishes there.
  22. Shouldn’t events in the U.K. be separate.? This is about a domestic terror attack. it’s not complicated af all - many Muslim leaders have condemned it as they should. We should try not to conflate events here with those around the world - that way, deep complexity lies and it’s tough enough as it is. that approach could be used or justify attacks like Thursday.
  23. Has been mooted - might be the price of peace but if trump is going to do what it looks like he’s doing then the isr govt cannot survive that agreement either BN goes it alone or his coalition falls. It might not happen in the short term as opposition will support any ceasefire/deal vote but beyond that he’ll not have a majority
  24. I think netenyhu is in big political trouble now
  25. Following this up, the flotilla x account has now commented that the flotilla wasn’t just about aid but about ‘breaking the siege’. so we have mass protests all over Europe because this aid wasn’t allowed to get to Gza and it seems there may not have been much aid at all across the 40 odd boats ….. I mean the whole scenario of a truck or two of aid arriving by boat compared to the several hundred trucks being sent in each day was ludicrous anyway. Seems it was perhaps a publicity stunt all along …….
