  1. The jury voting is surely more susceptible to politics ? I’ve been on the excellent Eurovision website to check going back to before the Gaza war, Israel had one year where they excelled in the public vote and one where there didn’t. 2019 was in Israel and they did badly all round they won in 2018 where the public voted 1st and jury voted 3rd 2017 they had poor results clearly 2024 and 2025 had a public vote skewed solidly towards them due to the 20 votes each account could make and a publicity campaign plus likely some dodgy voting. (Although if there had been provable voting fraud then that would make it so easy for the organisers to ban them on that basis - would have been such an easy out for those countries stuck between decisions) i don’t think yesterday with its 10 vote limit and credit card ID system was nearly as susceptible. it could just be that the songs are generally pitched well to the ev audience and people in some countries just don’t have the same views that many in the uk do.
  2. They’ve split them
  3. Some of the countries who awarded high public vote to Israel finland, Moldova, Portugal, Georgia, Albania none have a Jewish population of any note. Maybe their small population means their vote is easier to manipulate with dodgy accounts. (But that then brings you to Germany, Italy, uk, France etc etc ) or maybe they just do good Eurovision songs ?
  4. A few more of these to come
  5. Possible that Rory is put with Reed tomorrow …………
  6. If Scottie doesn’t post a -5 or lower today then tomorrow looks like a great days witching
  7. If they get rid of Starmer and shift notably left then that could make them almost unelectable moving forwards. Vote x, get y. any new leader would probably have to retain the more centre left outlook to keep party integrity at subsequent elections. We know that uk elections are decided by the centre ground and they’re sensitive to suggestions of that nature. I’m quite sure that a lot of those voting labour in 2024 were ‘anything but Tory’ after 14 years and Starmer offered them what appeared to be a safe pair of hands re any leftist agenda within the party.
  8. Not sure what position he was asked to play last night. Seemed to by a hybrid of 6 and 8. maybe the physical nature of notts approach to him in the first leg meant that the chesterfield coach was nervous of him sitting and patrolling
  9. Scoring looks a little easier today ‘moving day’
  10. Sky ‘you have to feel for hearts’ yeah, like you care
  11. 7 minutes? that took over two on its own!
  12. There’s a lot riding on this but jeez the qualit6 is gash
  13. Looks to me like Celtic aren’t prepared to go for the win committing people forward in open play because conceding on a break is so negative to the outcome. as the half progresses, they’ll have to do it.
  14. Ah thats explains why no foul given didn’t know he was already on a yellow was it someone on here that suggested all handballs in the box that aren’t judged deliberate hand to ball should be indirect free kicks ?
  15. Well at least it hit his hand this time 😃
  16. I’d say would’ve been better if he’d been selected could have been been part of the sale deal as an add on Don’t see a downside if he’d been picked
  17. There certainly is a penalty for missing the fairway. Probably more than what I anticipated," said McIlroy. maybe we will see an unexpected winner on the basis that the long hitters won’t have the usual advantage ?? Especially as the next 72 hours sees the course firm up (although the pga could water the course to stop it becoming too difficult)
  18. We’re going to be every team’s cup final
  19. Migration due to CC has barely started
  20. Ominous ……..
  21. Usually takes a high profile cabinet member to resign to sound the starting gun proper. I assume he’s hoping that he’s ‘the final nail in starmer’s premiership coffin’ burnham looking like he’s going to find a way into Westminster helps.
  22. Speith missed 1 fairway today Rory missed 9 I’ve watched a fair bit today and I still believe you’re not winning this tournament unless you’re accurate off the tee.
  23. Does raynor ally herself to a milliband run for PM? Does she believe she can win ? You’d assume that the membership would support either of those on a ticket can’t see streeting winning a vote of the membership - which is why he doesn’t want to trigger anything. Maybe he wants to be ‘anointed’ where Starmer agrees to go and the rest of the cabinet with raynor returning go along with it. (No one of any gravitas stands against him which is the only way he wins a membership vote).
  24. Good timing for Ange to be cleared by hmrc
