TBH, I think it comes down to whether they believe iran has a capability to retaliate effectively. They may be raising the stakes diplomatically and verbally to try and convince Iran that they’re not fearful of any response because they have the ability to intercept whatever Iran chucks at them ( when they may not)

No idea its just that I’ve seen too many articles say that you can’t sign a pro deal till you’re 17. Getting around that this way surely defeats the point of not allowing a 15 or 16 y o to sign a binding pro deal ???
-
Not convinced it can be legally binding suspect it protects Monga but not the club If so it does however ensure that we get a fee proportionate to the salary we’ve offered him related to his age. ie: if we’ve offered him four years age 17 at 30/40k then anyone signing him would struggle to convince a tribunal he’s worth less than 15/20m with a sig sell on clause. (Of course his performances next season would also influence the upside).

Do you think that there are a lot of govts around the world that would protest if Israel disabled iran’s nuclear missile program (irrespective of what they might say in public)?
-
Israel - Iran could be faster …….. Iran’s final position after weeks of talks is to propose that they will not enrich uranium beyond levels only for reactors if USA force Israel to give up their nukes. That will obvs terminate the negs and trump may allow Israel to do as they feel is necessary

my point is that it’s not just Hamas in Gaza and once in there who knows where they might end up. And if you were a big Hamas target then you’d make sure that some of the group were accompanying you to allow you to move freely around. It’s just too complex for Israel to allow - they knew they wouldn’t be permitted to land in Gaza. The governance of Gaza now is pretty fluid with Hamas having lost some control, especially in the Rafa and east Kahn younis areas. It wasn’t in sept 2023 compared to 2011 as you say.

I think he was wide but he scored for a lot of fans, if a centre half scores then he’s now a striker !

Vittorio Arrigoni might disagree with you if he was still with us. even more lawless there now than back then.

Not sure I think it would make a huge difference to any tribunal figure though -

I reckon this covers his options we are committed to the pro contract once he’s 17. So if he picked up an acl this season and couldn’t play the following one he has the security of a decent contract. it could be that he can sign for someone else at the point that he’s 17. not sure if we can impose restrictions given his age and the rules. could be that this is all in his favour - which is right at his age. -
Surely you control what you can control allowing them in would be a ‘wild card’. The aid was effectively symbolic in volume and the Israelis say it will be forwarded on (who knows but it surely gets ‘lost’ as less than a truck ) having a small group of westerners in Gaza just complicates things as discussed last week re journalists.

really good news (for once )

The momentum shifts within a short space of time are amazing

Clubs have seen our demise. They realise that hanging onto players mid contract or offering unsustainable salaries will endanger them. See wolves selling their two best players this week and Brentford similar. Brighton have done this already. Fulham happy to sell if they get a decent fee. And Bournemouth.too. they’re not risking their future on the alter of over ambition. The uncompetitive nature of the PL re relegation means that they don’t have to work miracles on recruitment either.

First name is Dick …. Then what ?

I try to be a quiet as possible on this because I know feelings naturally run high but if a genocide is ongoing then why isn’t more pressure put on hamas to surrender and agree to disarm ? That would bring about an end to the war and would have the added benefit that leaves BN in a precarious political position. The war sustains his administration. The war is given oxygen by the leaders on both sides. the democratically elected Israeli ones will hopefully be removed not long after the war ends. Those in Gaza purporting to represent the enclave have to be got rid of by force or encouragement to leave by their allies in the gulf. They need to be convinced that they are better off agreeing to leave and keep their lives than waiting for the IDF to inevitably kill them which simply extends the desperate situation that the residents of Gaza continue to suffer with the dreadful ongoing ‘collateral damage’ which in urban warfare is grim. (And we know Israel cares little for the families of Hamas members if they have an opportunity to take a fighter or administrator out).

I’d say it’s straight ignorance but seems like it’s predicated on Islamophobia. she can be ignorant of other faiths but to refer to him a Muslim surely shows her phobia out loud.

If it’s bob then it’s true !

Lots of midweek games in the championship he’ll get plenty of game time players in form should be playing rather than the best players who might be out of form. We have to spread the load next season.

Would be the kindest thing
