First thing my wife knitted for me when she first learnt to knit. In my defence, I cycled a long way to work and it was bloody cold in the winter, so it was welcome(ish). Balaclavas are making a comeback with youngsters I note. Seen some young lads wearing them and they also have their hoods up over their heads. They must be really feeling the cold. Strange thing is though, everyone else are in T shirts/summer clothes.

Jamie Vardy - Goodbye to our GOAT

Maddison spent £1700 for a box just like this. -
Speaking of plastic and rockets; I've only just discovered that NASA have information on their website regarding making plastic pop bottle rockets. Loads of stuff on YouTube too, of course. However, the NASA site also has a plastic bottle flight simulator You can use it to calculate weight coefficients, drag, thrust, different fuel (water) and so on.

That's true. Ro(d)ger Brendan

Kim's an unhappy bunny Unfortunately, I expect some will pay with their lives.

I guess there are many examples of this now, but I was told today of a couple who have been supporters for 60 years, many of those as season ticket holders, who have decided no more attending matches for them. Not all older folk are 'Happy Clappers, we were in League One once'. Not by a long chalk.

I'm reading that he's a Buddist. Perhaps he can get the monks in again? I mean, look what happened last time.

Well, I was a little out. The two chick's fledged this afternoon. We witnessed one leaving. On camera, he/she was quite mobile inside the box and then poked their head out from the hole. We then watched from the garden as it made its first foray into the outside world. I was amazed at its first flight. The bird took off from the birdbox hole, did an immediate sharp left turn and landed expertly in our tree, which is approx 7 metres away. Almost instantly, one of the parents joined them. Despite checking regularly, the second one fledged whilst we weren't looking.

Probably already been posted on here, apologies if so. But incase anyone has missed it, I think this is a cracking interview with JV. What a modest, down-to-earth, first rate fella - as well as our very own GOAT. -
He'll get them next season - just not with us.

Is that 'Hitler' rant still on YouTube, I couldn't find it last time I looked?
-
When we signed him I said one million for a nonleague player - we're bloody daft
-
You've not missed anything.

Here's a pic. One of the dead chick's is at the feet of the mother. She has tried to remove it several times but has been unable.

I posted videos previously in this thread of our Blue Tits. Of the 8 eggs laid, 5 hatched. 1 chick died after a week and we've lost 2 more this week. They all seemed to be progressing well too The two remaining ones are quite mobile and I think they'll be off tomorrow.

At least this fox has had a positive outcome.

Well, I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong.

I've often wondered what these beauties look like now.....

I must be getting old, I couldn't believe what I was watching when I saw the ad on TV. People literally sniffing others in said area.

Fecking smart meter. Since retiring, I've kept an eye on fuel usage costs. Just checked our readings on the display and by one metric, it states we have used £19 worth of electricity so far this month. That is about right. However, it is also showing we have used about 20 times the amount of KWh (meter reading) over that same period. This would equate to over £300 ffs. Been on the phone to British Gas to try and resolve. Not holding my breath.....

One anti war song that, perhaps, slips under the radar is Zor and Zam by the Monkees, which touches on this very point

That was funny. Might go for RVN?

I had forgotten what excitement was, but those last few mins.

Cracking JV assist.

Further update. They are now exploring from the nest now. Apologies for poor quality. Also, for some reason, FT was rejecting my attempt to upload another short video
