Free Falling Foxes

Watched the 1st two episodes of 'Candy. A Death in Texas' on channel 4 last night. Next two episodes are on tonight. True story and quite fascinating. I couldn't resist reading about the case however, on t'internet and couldn't believe what I read. I mean wtf! I won't spoil it for those watching but incase you're interested, here's the details.

After all the positive posts I was intrigued, so started watching Severance. Well, call me an heretic, but three and a half episodes in and Mrs. FFF and I have pulled the plug. That's all.

I think with Kalac coming on and expecting the ref to blow, I think we had 'checked-out' and resigned to penalties.

I discovered 4 editions of the Leicester Mercury from the 1980s whilst sorting through some boxes at home. I went retro and read them at the table whilst having some tea and also when sitting in the lounge - just like my dad used to. Made a change from glancing at my phone. Anyway, there was loads to read, local news of course, some national news, sport, even looked through the 'Miscellaneous Sales and the 'Hatched, Matched and Dispatched columns too. Really highlighted how news reporting and the way it is done, has deteriorated on a local level

I dare say these sort of altercations go on often during international meetings between presidents, prime ministers, diplomats and so on - but usually away from the glare of the world's media. As things seem to get progressively worse, I would say the boards next decision - whatever it may be - could probably be added to the list...............and the next...........and then the next........

Following all the positive comments on here about the show, I suggested to my good lady we watch it. Only seen the 1st episode so far and I'm thinking, Mmmm, I'll give it another episode or two, especially with folk saying stick with it. Mrs. FFF on the other hand has made up her mind - not good.

Remember the days when, before a match, you would have thoughts like, I think we'll get something here, if not a win, a draw. Now it's, Wonder if we can keep a clean sheet? Nah, that won't happen. Wonder if we can keep it down to no more than a couple of goals? Wonder if we'll manage a goal? Sad times.

As this is a motorbike thread, perhaps someone could explain to me why a fella at the end of our street starts his bike around 5 in the morning and leaves it running for up to 10 minutes before riding off. I assume its because he's had to get up early and wants everyone else to be awake too. The bikes themselves may be brilliant but there are some selfish sods around.

Just listened to his post match interview. Disappointed to hear him say the second goal killed the game. Retrospectively, you can see that but I hope that wasn't his attitude after 30 minutes last night. If so, that mentality just transfers over to the players and will do the exact opposite of instilling a never give up attitude. That 'Foxes Never Quit' over the players tunnel, needs painting over

From BBC Sport: Leicester have lost each of their last five Premier League home games by an aggregate score of 11-0. The only team to lose six consecutive top-flight home games without scoring are Norwich City (June 2020 to August 2021), with no side doing so in a single campaign before. Something to aim for.

Out of curiosity, what's the internet connection like up there? (I'm assuming you're not down in the other place?)

Hate these Friday matches. It means the whole weekend is ruined, as opposed to just Sat eve and Sunday.
