Looks like what Miller & Carter should be.

Never heard of it. But, having just googled it, I'm quite keen on knowing more

The Ford Tippex was an absolute class car. The automatic gearbox is only rivalled by the BMW.

Gutted for India. To fall short at the final hurdle in a home tournament isn't nice. Really wanted them to get over the line. Begrudgingly, well done Australia. Great tournament in front of amazing fans. The atmosphere out there is unreal. -
High praise from a yam yam

The lamb is in the oven and it smells divine. Today's accompanying dishes are garlic and rosemary roasties, rainbow chantenay carrots, cauli cheese, purple sprouting broccoli and Yorkshire puds. I'm really looking forward to this!

Come on @The Bear, you think the same

Considered it, but immediately thought better of it as my gear isn't cheap. I've played with someone who once just snapped their driver shaft over their thigh. And someone else who absolutely launched a club down the fairway. Went about 60 yards further than their ball I once missed a short putt, scooped up the ball with the back of my putter, then absolutely tw4tted the ball a mile, baseball style. My putter head fell off and I had to pay for it to be re-shafted! Completed the round putting with a 4 iron.

If your goldfish could potentially be a menace when you take it out in public or you just have it to look hard, then, yeah Anything that might stop bad owners and make sure the dog is properly looked after can only be a positive? There's no guaranteed way to do that, but just something to make the process regulated is worth a go. In no way would it deter genuine, responsible dog owners.

C'mon India! We're all Team @StanSP ain't we? -
Wrexham will float around League 1 and League 2. That's their level, without wanting to sound condescending. They'll soon be another Northampton Town. That's it. Let them enjoy their moment. It'll take way more than Ryan Reynolds to achieve more than that.
-
Fair enough. But again, in the grand scheme of football, me and you might as well own them. Billionaires they ain't. And that's what you need.
-
I'd add that football goes in cycles. The public got behind Luton when they went non league and won the Johnstones Pain Trophy. A lot of people loved Salford City when the class of 92 took over. Literally everyone in the world had a second team when we won the league in 2016. A lot of people took interest in Wrexham when Deadpool bought them. It all eventually dies down. Let them enjoy the moment. No skin off my nose. If no rules are broken, go nuts. Its all better than asking someone you've just met who they support and they reply "Liverpool"

Can I ask why? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I do kind of get it. But they aren't in competition with us, they showed some real class in saying that there should be more promotion places from the National League and showed solidarity with Notts County to get back in to the football league.

Fair enough. Have a good weekend

Because playing better opposition makes you better. OK, San Marino totally make my argument invalid. But Luxembourg and the Afghanistan cricket team kind of prove my point. With all due respect, if you don't know about it, look at the story of the Afghan cricket side. Playing better teams makes you better. Eventually. With a proper structure.

Never mind the day. What a week. Wednesday was the first anniversary of losing my father in law to cancer. (So many of you were kind enough to donate money to my golf challenge for him) Thanks to work, I missed the family gathering of celebrating him. What a guy! Thursday was the graduation day of my eldest stepdaughter. What a contrast of emotions. We all got through it together. And so proud of Mia for getting a first class degree. Nice excuse to put on a suit and take everyone out for lunch! A lot of you might know I've struggled in the past, but for the last 4 years, I've been part of a real family. And I love it. Wouldn't change it for the world.

100% It's a great story. The owners are very likeable. And you don't get out of the National League by pure luck. OK, they've spent money, they've probably raised more, allowing them to spend more, but they've already proven themselves to be better owners than that of Everton. Good luck to them. A town like that, and the people who live there, deserve it.

OK, I'm still drunk every single time we play golf. Apart from once, when I was on fire. Does that explain it? Or maybe I wasn't. Everyone knows you're better at everything after a few beers
-
There's possibly an argument that they do. Just look at Luxembourg this qualification period. Incredibly unlucky not to make it. And why shouldn't a country have a right to compete? Edit... Just look at Afghanistan in the Cricket World Cup

I'm sort of the same. I don't go to that level to see if I can get a beer. It's more at home for me. I buy what's on offer at Sainsbury's every Friday. Usually 18 or 15 cans of Stella, Heineken, Kronenberg or Bud. Or 2 cases for 22 quid. I'll binge over the weekend, but have a few left in the fridge for the rest of the week. If I have no beer in the fridge, I get tetchy. If I have 6 cans left, I probably won't even drink one, but I feel good because I know if I want one, it's there. That's weird isn't it? But I can have 6 bottles of wine and no beer, but still feel tetchy. So it's not an alcoholic thing. I'll drink most nights, literally anywhere from 1 beer to 12, which sounds excessive, but I don't think it is. If I don't have beer, I'll go to the shop and buy some, but I won't buy 4, because it ain't enough. I'll buy at least 8, then go home and probably only have 1 or 2. I'm actually pretty sensible drinking, because I often leave home at 5am, driving. Just feel like I have a blowout on Fridays and Saturdays. But not being ridiculous. It's not like I'm having Jager bombs with it! Anyway, I've worked my arse off to give up smoking. So I'm still allowed some enjoyment in life!

14-0 Feel like I wasted that fiver now. Cash out was rubbish.
-
You can get 125/1 on Gibraltar. Worth a fiver? But seriously 125/1? I know the bookies have given up on it, but they're so more likely to come from 12-0 down, away to France, with 10 men, than we were to win the league

Hope you're OK mate. With the experience you have, both personally and professionally, you'd be amazing at coming up with ideas to make this process better. That'd be too simple though. Stay strong
