  1. Oh, by the way @rachhere, skirting is dead easy to replace yourself
  2. Never done it, our house has got metal door frames for some weird reason, so it would be a real pain to change them. I just bought a heat gun to strip all the old paint off and they came out looking pretty decent. I still need to replace about 7 doors though! It's definitely worth getting a decent chippie round to have a look. I imagine they'd know instantly if it was possible to do it without any damage to the plaster. If it was an issue, they should be able to quote to have the plaster repaired too, most tradesmen work with others. For example, an electrician who does re-wiring work will have a mate who follows him around the house to patch the plaster.
  3. You ever been to Anfield?
  4. Why is your hoover scared of fireworks?
  5. Ffs. He's started Iheanacho. We've won every game, bar 2. As I've said elsewhere tonight, Vardy isn't exempt from criticism, but come on. He'll be frustrated at himself for how he played. He's still got plenty to offer this season. If we go up, then maybe not and our priority should be a striker.
  6. Totally disagree that he isn't interested. A new manager has come in and made judgement. It would be tough for him to move on Vardy, but he's given him the armband whenever he starts. He is coming to the end of his career, but he's still got a lot left to offer. The team hasn't performed well for a few games, it isn't solely on Vardy being old. He'll score some very important goals this season.
  7. Coming back from injury though... It was an intense game. The season won't be defined by playing the 'better' teams. Although we lost and needed something different, it could turn out to be good management.
  8. Never! Footballers in the fifties were doing it. Di Stefano and Puskas, just off the top of my head. Must have been happening way before that. Actually, the only time cricket was in the Olympics, the French side were ex-pats from England
  9. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Outrageous in my opinion. It's the blokes birthday, he'd planned a party. It in no way, shape or form impacted his work, so why shouldn't he celebrate something personal?
  10. I'd also add that whilst they absolutely weren't penalties, we did give the ref two different occasions to make a decision on giving a penalty. He could easily have given them.
  11. The off days are becoming frequent now though. It's all well playing shite, winning, then saying "That's what champions do" But it's been coming for the last few matches. We also see people saying "Imagine how good we'll be when we click" Maybe this is it? Not being negative, although it comes across like that. We're still in pole position, let's hope this is a wake up call and we get back to doing what we have been doing.
  12. I'd probably put Tielemans above him, yeah, he left 5 months ago and was a fat, lazy fvck. But still.
  13. Looks proper shite if I'm honest. Means he'll probably go on to be successful at the highest level, like Harry Kane
  14. Bloody hell, football fans are fickle. Yeah, he was pretty shite tonight, but I'm betting he'd be the first person to acknowledge that and I bet he's fuming. We know Vardy's strengths, they were never going to work against Leeds at home. Maybe that's partly on the manager. Whilst of course he isn't immune to criticism, I think he's got enough in the bank for us to cut him some slack. And there were another 10 players on the pitch who didn't exactly cover themselves in glory.
  15. No, and even if we'd avoided defeat tonight, we still wouldn't have been able to do it as we lost to Hull
  16. Can we stop talking about breaking records now and live in reality? It's still looking good, obviously, but I'd snap your hand off for 2nd place and promotion. Thats all that matters.
  17. That was poor. Fair play to Leeds. They actually had a game plan. Attack, get a goal, then defend it. We simply weren't good enough.
  18. That was sensational from Fatawu.
  19. This is making the Sunderland performance look world class. Need to sort our shit out, quickly.
  20. You would be if you were at Ewood Park in 1992. ROOOOOOOSTER!
  21. I'd post the South Park meme of Randy sat in front of his computer (you know the one) but last time I did, it got removed and I got a ban. That's @StanSP right now
  22. Has anyone ever done the fireworks in London for New Years Eve? Tickets go on sale tomorrow and we're considering it. Hogmanay in Edinburgh is also an option, but that then means finding somewhere to stay.
  23. I'm stumped on the first one!
  24. Second one - In so many words?
