Yes so surely it’s more than a bit strange and doesn’t add up that they are spending 100% of their revenue sponsoring Leicester City Football Club because it sure as hell doesn’t stack up to me
-
The best thing is we are on the verge of financial meltdown and yet some of the commercial deals we have entered into make no sense. For example the BC Game sponsorship was a reported £30m 2 year deal and yet their revenue is reported as £15m …..

Most disturbing thing for me was the complete lack of urgency or desire, this was the opportunity to build on a little bit of positive momentum and yet we failed to show up. Even at 2-0 down there was little or no reaction. In the final 10 / 15 minutes when you would expect us to throw the proverbial sink at them, in truth we barely laid a glove on them. It was a woeful and truly underwhelming performance that has only further cemented the feeling we are well and truly up to our necks in it.

I cannot get past the last 2 seasons and how he has time and again disrespected the club, thrown in half arsed performances and basically stuck two fingers up to the people who pay his wages and spend their hard earned following the club across the country. Now JJ is back I hope Winks disappears back to the periphery of the squad. If our survival hopes hang on Harry Winks then we may as well confirm relegation now and fold the club. Epitomises everything that is wrong at the club and the fact he is given so many chances/clean slates doesn’t surprise me given how forgiving our fanbase is.

I would have a look at Danny Ormerod 19 year old playing for AFC Fylde in National League North, has bagged 25 goals so far.

It is seriously concerning and very dangerous that a large proportion of our ‘fanbase’ seem to support and adore King Power more than Leicester City Football Club and would rather cheer this regime on as they send the club into oblivion. Yes there were great times in the past and they were rightly lauded and praised at the time so why is it so difficult for some to hold them to account when things are so bad and we are dangerously close to relegation to league 1 and financial meltdown. I have supported this club since 1979, both my kids support the club, my missus has also become a fan and it is genuinely keeping me awake at night worrying that within the next 12-18 months we may no longer have a club to support. This is a truly horrifying situation to be in and how any ‘fan’ can sit there and back the people who are overseeing this is absolutely staggering and beyond belief.

Marc Albrighton understands it but doesn’t agree it with, which is hardly surprising given his association with the club.

6 point deduction - confirmed

Sorry but we changed our model after the FA Cup final win chasing the champions league dream and its led to 2 relegations, multiple PSR breaches, a 6 point deduction and we stand on the precipice of league one and financial meltdown. Our success in winning the league and up to the FA Cup was largely on the basis of signing hungry players, selling them at their peak and reinvesting. The club changed from this and it went to 💩 -

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 absolutely spot on -
Picture the scene …. After lifting the FA Cup Aiyawatt and KP decide to sell the club. The new ownership preside over changing our model, oversee our relegation to the championship whilst not acting on Rodgers until too late. Sign multiple shirt sponsorship deals with shady betting and crypto currency businesses. Multiple PSR breaches, following a root and branch internal review offer Players like Coady and Winks massive contracts. Hire and fire 3 full time managers in 18 months. Cancel paying loyal and hardworking staff before Christmas without any notice. Oversee our first ever points deduction which leaves us on the brink of relegation to league one and potential financial meltdown. Now answer this if it wasn’t Aiyawatt and KP I guarantee more would be up in arms at how we are being run into the ground and join the protests. This is about our club which will always be bigger than any owner, family or company. 142 years of history, of being Leicester City Football Club.

Yes if you don’t run it as a sustainable business. There is no rule in football that says you have to spend over 100% of revenue on wages. The sweet spot is somewhere between 60-70% and it’s having a model that enables you to do that and keep reinvesting in young hungry players with sell on potential. We had that model and then decided to move away from it and as soon as we dipped it’s collapsed like a house of cards. -
Makes me smile as it says back the badge, but is all about supporting KP. Actually demonstrates that in their eyes LCFC no longer exists or is not the primary concern anymore and it’s more about KPFC and showing devotion and loyalty to the family. Remarkable given where we currently stand that many object so vehemently to anyone who dares to question the direction of travel of the club.

I am a massive advocate for promoting the academy players and giving them 1st team exposure, however I would also tend to agree that now is not the time. I know Mavididi has been poor and not pulling up any trees but when you compare Mukasa’s 5 goal involvements in 3 championship games vs Monga who has 3 in 22 and Page who has 1 in 19 it is a sensible decision. I am not criticising Monga or Page, who are both unbelievably young to have played the number of games they have, but you can see they are just that bit further behind in their development and physicality so are not having the impact on games or the output that Mukasa is. The experience they have gleamed so far will be huge but I think to rely on them in a relegation battle could do untold damage to both the club and the individual players. It would be great to see them both get some decent minutes from the bench in games where they can come on against tired legs and positively impact the outcome. In Aluko’s case I think he will more likely get minutes once Vestergaard or Lascelles return and he can play alongside a more experienced central defender, as currently Okoli and Nelson are both relatively inexperienced to be guiding a young full back through the game, especially at this stage of the season and given our defensive frailty.

Was absolutely superb last night but also so frustrating that he went missing for most of the season.
-
It was a real shame he made the mistake for the equaliser because other than that he was superb. Made so many blocks and interceptions. Too be honest I noticed it a lot last night where as a team we make some hairbrained decisions to try and play out in very tight spaces and in dangerous defensive positions and often give the ball away and end up on the back foot. Mavididi, Fatawu, Ayew and even Mukasa were guilty of being dispossessed deep in our own half trying to dribble out rather than clearing our lines. Hopefully this is something Rowett changes quickly, as it’s no wonder we concede so many.

What a player, such a clever talented footballer and for 18 has a good physical presence. For a player so young he oozes class and confidence. Will be a massive player for us in the run in. -
It’s very early days but so far he has already had a positive impact. We look much more of a team and the work rate, especially last night is definitely more noticeable. We really need to grab a win on Saturday to really kick start the run in and give everyone a much needed boost and additional belief and confidence for the remainder of the season. He reminds me of Brian Little and Micky Adams, sets his teams up to be very solid, efficient and effective. He simplifies the game, it feels like our tactics had become too technical and over elaborated. I think this will be critical in the predicament we find ourselves in. Whether he offers enough to be considered a long term option remains to be seen. But the here and now is all that matters and I think he offers us the best chance of survival.
-
In fairness to him he hasn’t really got any other option, and we can’t run Daka into the ground.

Good point and decent performance, no complaints from me. Skipp absolute immense. Winks excellent just a shame he hasn’t been that player all season. Back 4 were really good tonight. Promising signs and fair play to Rowett, 3 solid 45 minutes out of 4 -
It just goes to show how poor how recruitment has been when we scout and sign a player who is better in a 3 and is a bombscare in possession and we sign him to play in a flat back 4 and a team trying to play like Man City …….and we wonder why we are in the mess we are in 🤣

Read my post again, I said retaining our model would have meant we would have been more stable and sustainable as a club I never mentioned success. we took a gamble to not sell an asset and paid top wages this led to players running down contracts so we had less saleable assets or value reduced. This has meant financially we were committed to long term expensive contracts that have massively hamstrung us.
-
Read my post again, I never said we wouldn’t have had a downturn, I said if we had would have been better placed to go again. We massive overspent on wages and stopped selling players at profit to reinvest which has financially crippled us.
-
If nothing else our model should have given us long term sustainability and stability, even in the event of relegation we should have been well placed to go again. The club had its warning about grossly overspending and not having a coherent plan or strategy after Sven and had seemed to have learnt our lessons, the recruitment under Macia and Puel was top drawer and had laid such solid foundations. The fact that here we are now standing on the brink of relegation to league 1 & financial meltdown after a points deduction for PSR breaches and yet we have barely any saleable assets that will raise big money says all we need to know about the leadership of the club and the lack of both business & football acumen.
-
Sums up how shockingly poor our recruitment has become, epitomises the weak mentality of so many of our signings over the last 5 years and the lack of due diligence or research we carry out in terms of personality, character and background. our recruitment has become so stale and lazy.
-
I was really impressed with how he turned things around at half time but wha the actually feck did he say as his pre match talk because we were as flat as we have been all season. You would hope that first 45 minutes would have been high intensity and high energy everyone up for it and positivity under the new manager. Which does make me worry once the novelty of Rowett has worn off does this rabble revert to type.
