  1. It is he recently joined them and had them 2nd. Muslic wouldn’t be on massive wages and he may see us in the championship and a potential rebuild and chance to manage in the prem if successful as an intriguing and potentially exciting project.
  2. Great listen as always and a great mix of opinions which always makes it a balanced and entertaining listen.
  3. You mean like Rob Edward’s leaving Middlesbrough to join Wolves. If the financial package is attractive enough and the individual believes he can be a success then anything can happen.
  4. Too be honest there are a good few I would dump given half a chance.
  5. No it isn’t, it’s better than Bouba I grant you but would much rather see Skipp alongside JJ or recall Braybrooke in January and let him play alongside JJ than see Winks toss it off for another second in our midfield.
  6. If Marti goes then I really hope we have the strength of conviction to go and recruit and pay compo to bring in a bright upcoming manager. My shortlist would be - Richie Wellens Craig Bellamy Miron Muslic
  7. I think this has been brewing since before the Blackburn defeat, the Middlesbrough and Norwich results gave him a stay of execution, however the performances were far from convincing and I think last nights horror show will see him lose his job. It felt like his position was on a knife edge and the one thing he can ill afford was a result and performance like last night. I think the old corner flag shot will be posted in the next day or two.
  8. Needs to leave in January even if for a nominal fee; has pretty much checked out since Enzo left last summer, but this season has been nothing short of a piss take. if I was the manager I wouldn’t have him any near the matchday squad any more.
  9. Marti has been dealt a really tough hand given how many players have ended up still here stinking the gaff out despite wanting out. However Marti does seem absolutely wedded to this 4-2-3-1 system even though we have barely had a recognised number 10 available all season. This has been a massive issue as I feel our shape has been unbalanced with a square peg in a round hole most games hence our lack of fluidity. Surely it would have been more sensible to play with a single pivot and 2 higher 8’s similar to the shape Enzo used. It certainly would be better than playing JJ out of position especially when he is head and shoulders above the rest of our team. This tactical stubbornness is having an impact and definitely influencing performances and results and given the options available I am at a loss as to why he is so rigid and continuing to persist with it. I have a lot of sympathy for what he has inherited it’s nothing like when Enzo came in however I am finding some of his team selections, tactics, shape and substitutions absolutely baffling. There has been a massive change in his approach since the Fiorentina friendly and some of the personnel he has deployed since the transfer window closed which suggests some influence from elsewhere but beside that he is looking and like a man who knows his race has been run.
  10. Make no mistake this has been an horrendous evening. Scoreline massively flatters us, the reaction since we went down to 10 has been nothing short of disgraceful, we have literally surrendered. The only person to come out with any credit from tonight is Begovic.
  11. Couldn’t agree more would be happy if he never pulled our shirt on ever again
  12. Any dissent towards the manager or board?
  13. It was me when I did my last run, I am swarthy looking but think they may have been mistaken that I was a Saudi Sheikh 😂
  14. Has been so poor tonight decision making all over the place.
  15. 3-0 down at half time so let’s bring on Soumare and Ayew on …..that is the actions of a man who has thrown in the towel
  16. Really don’t see him surviving this one, especially given the backdrop that as yet we haven’t managed to string a single decent 90 minute performance so far this season. I think the owner and DoF will feel a new manager could/will get more out of the group and at least enough to be more competitive. This is giving me Cooper vibes, players not having him and therefore not really fighting for him.
  17. Would love to see Sammy recalled and be given the chance to transition into the Winks role, reckon he would be good alongside JJ
  18. Bali Mumba LB/LWB from Plymouth CB - Will Fish from Cardiff or a cheeky offer to Stoke for Maxsym who was at Plymouth last season but isn’t first choice this season but would be class alongside Ben Nelson Recall Sammy Braybrooke who is doing superbly well at Newport Sign Charlie Savage from Reading to play alongside Jordan James as our DM’s or as 8’s If we did make a sale or 2 and did have some money to spend then I would look at Tony Fruk at Rijeka can play as AM or ST only 24 years old. With good stats of 7 goals and 2 assists in 14 games this season following on from 14 G and 10 A last season
  19. But if the large part of the group have checked out and don’t want to be here then its highly unlikely any manager that is genuinely attainable given where we are is going to come in and change the culture and more importantly suddenly inspire some of our wantaway players to change their mindset. All the names mentioned as potential replacements for Marti or managers we could have hired in the summer would be in a similar situation as none of them have the reputation or gravitas to turn the likes of Winks, Faes, Soumare, VK, round or to get them more committed to the club or the cause. We are in the championship, managers like Wellens and Challinor who would be decent choices don’t have the track record or playing career that would command the respect of this mob and then the likes of Mowbray, O’Neill, Martin etc are just run of the mill gaffers who like Marti would struggle with players who have delusions of grandeur. That’s why the manager has to be backed to sideline whoever isn’t on board and then for the club to move these players out at the earliest possible opportunity. The swamp needs draining it’s the only way this club has any chance of moving forward positively and a fresh start.
  20. However massive difference to 2 seasons ago is now so many players who are here have visibly checked out of the club and yet are still being selected, either by choice of the manager or by insistence of others. This is not as straightforward as they have done it in this league before so by default should do it again. The dynamics of the squad are very different now, plus no Vardy or Albrighton as leaders to keep some of the dissenters in lane. We saw it last season, Cooper thrown under a bus by certain players then RVN comes in bemoans a lack of standards and a few of the players again don’t react positively, now fast forward to now and similar issues, I am not convinced any manager could get a tune out of this current bunch in these circumstances. The only solution for me is move as many out in January / summer and start again and give the manager (whoever it is) carte blanche to play who he wants and build a team of committed young hungry players who want to play for the club.
  21. Much needed home win and now taken 7 out of last 9 points on offer, performances are still way off but a win is a win and at the moment it’s about accumulating points and ensuring even after the points deduction we are well clear of relegation battle and still in with a chance of catching the top 6. Not sure performances will massively improve until a few of the injured players return and we can hopefully freshen the squad up in January; it’s massively needed.
  22. Will give this a listen good luck fellas
  23. Personally I think he will do well
  24. Final league table of Prostate United is in… and I’m incredibly proud to have finished in this year’s Top 10 individual fundraisers, raising £4,160 for Prostate Cancer UK. 🖤💙 This challenge means a huge amount to me, and looking back over the last three years, I’m blown away that I have managed to raise over £13,000 for such a vital cause. A huge thank you to Leicester City Football Club for their unbelievable support throughout this journey — and to the fantastic LCFC fanbase, who have been nothing short of incredible. Your generosity, encouragement and kindness have played such a massive part in making this possible. 💙🦊 To every single person who has liked, shared, supported, encouraged and donated — thank you. Your belief and generosity genuinely mean the world. Here’s to continuing the fight, raising awareness and doing everything we can to support those affected by prostate cancer. 🖤💙
  25. I agree, since Winks has come back into the starting XI over the 10 games played we have won 2 drew 5 and lost 3. 11 points from those 10 games, in isolation he can be a very good player and on paper has the quality to make us tick but it’s just not happening and I feel we need more energy, aggression and the ability to press teams more, Hamza will bring that and I think this will allow JJ more responsibility and opportunity to dictate play and for us to play with a much higher tempo as I feel Winks does tend to slow our play down.
