Perhaps we are losing a few of the other CBs we have? I don't like the third year, but with FFP it means we don't have to buy and if we sell him we make money (I think). It's effectively like signing a free transfer.

It's all Ai, clickbait, scroll down to find a non story but we've made you see a hundred adverts rubbish. The facts remain the same. We were shafted by a want-a-away manager with a team full of 'stars' running their contracts down. The system will change as it obviously doesn't work. In the meantime the fear for the Premier League is that a points deduction will cost them millions in legal issues if a team goes down having had x amount of points deducted. That's why the previous deductions have been magically calculated to give the teams the best possible chance to survive. As for survival- I've said numerous times I think our squad last season will be stronger than this coming season's squad. However, if we can get a manager in that brings what we've got together, gets our best players playing then we might just be alright.

It's fun and games. I've changed my thinking based on the most likely (in my head) situation. Everything said is based purely on my opinion. I think Brighton, Chelsea and Man U all want McKenna. I think Brighton knew they were losing De Zerbi and did the deal with him a while ago (hence the down turn in their form). They have McKenna top of their shortlist. They thought by announcing De Zerbi's departure early that would then allow them to act on McKenna unchallenged. I don't think they dreamt Chelsea would be after him let alone Man U. Meanwhile, I think Man U have met with McKenna in secret and already have him lined up. I think the players have been informed that a replacement is lined up but they can't act until a day or so after the FA Cup Final. Chelsea have moved quickly following Brighton's news in order to get McKenna over Brighton and either before Man U have a chance or they had no idea Man U wanted him. They have then panicked when they have realised McKenna isn't a done deal for them. So they have stirred up the rumour mill either to try and force McKenna to talk to them or so it looks like they haven't got a first choice. Man U are to arrogant to panic. They also know the optics look bad if they remove Ten Hag before the Cup Final. Brighton know they can't compete with Chelsea and Man U. McKenna knows he is going to Man U and I imagine is just waiting. I'd imagine it's already a done deal with significant compensation for Ipswich. Chelsea will be thanking their lucky stars they have set the rumour mill on fire as when they appoint it won't look like a second choice. Brighton are screwed as they have a settled squad that's on the downturn. I don't think they are an attractive proposition. Ipswich will have the Man U money which might be attractive to a manager as they can spend spend spend yet there is low expectations. What does this mean for Enzo. I think he goes to Chelsea if they really want him. But I think he knows he isn't first choice. I get the impression he needs to be loved and if Chelsea won't buy in 100% to his philosophy it's the wrong move. Especially, as a year in the Prem hasn't hindered Kompany's chances for a top job. He won't go to Brighton or Ipswich as they aren't his players. I think he stays. Develops his way and waits for a top club to want him for his philosophy. His reputation will remain intact as long as Leicester are competitive ish. He can hide behind FFP and points deductions. I'd imagine he will be paid well at Leicester so money isn't a big factor for a season.

I'd love to see Mark Robins given a chance. I don't think anyone has mentioned Gareth Southgate. He could be available after the Summer. He will want to prove he can do it in the Prem. I'm not sure tho. Our current owners have a history of making appointments that are not obvious. So it won't be a name anyone has mentioned.

I think it will be De Zerbi. All the noise around other managers is good noise for Chelsea as it prevents Brighton coming for compensation

Ok. I love the fact he is one of our academy players and his passion and love for us is real. I get why he has critics and can't see him as a Premier League player yet. But, all these rumours, first Spurs, now Newcastle. There must be something they are seeing. Before this FFP nonsense you'd keep him, loan him out and hope he develops into a first team player. I guess what I'm trying to say is i'd rather we sell him and keep KDH. But isn't FFP shit when you have to sell your own academy players. If he does go, I hope we remember him fondly for his goals and passion for the club.

To have been the manager of one of only seven Prem winners in the last 32 years is becoming an even bigger achievement each year! Will always be loved.

I think it means he is happy at Leicester and wants to be here next year. But if a prestigious club or someone offering loads of money comes in with a 3 year contract I'd be a fool not to go. Enzo said he has a different position in mind for him in the Prem. As Ndidi the centre back isn't popular do you think Enzo has a new/different system in mind for next season?

I think we will play Ndidi as a CB next year. Enzo said something about him having a different role next season. I know he has got to sign a new contract.

I've seen a few things saying he has rejected an offer of a new contract and is off. Somewhere was reporting his t-shirt the other day confirmed he is going. While I find him deeply frustrating and don't think he ever truly got to a level his talent deserved I'll be sad to see him go. Obviously, it's sadder watching Albrighton and possibly Vardy (pretty sure he is staying). I do want to say thank you to Ihanacho tho. He has scored some important goals. Played in some important games and I will miss having him around. He also scored the first VAR goal (I think).

I'm frustrated with Enzo. I like the style against teams that come to play against us, like Southampton did. However, if we can't overcome Plymouth, Millwall and Blackburn playing a low block (I think that's what we call it) then how will we overcome teams that do that to us in the Prem. Especially, when you look at say Crystal Palace and the quality they have that can hit you on the counter. Enzo said he tried something for the future yesterday. Was it to invert the CB rather than the full back? To break teams down that have packed the central area of the pitch you need to either get behind them (wings) or go directly through them. You need to create jeapody which means shooting. We've lost our way here. We will need a pair of 8's that can do this. But one will also need defensive attributes and pace to cover the inverted full back when it goes wrong. In the prem, I think Enzo's system will require our best players to be our defenders. They need to be great at everything and have pace. This is very rare and why teams will pay huge sums of money for players who have these attributes. Fofana being an example of the money teams are willing to spend and even Maguire (great defender but maybe not world class). I worry where we will find our CBs that have pace, size, presence, strength, the ability to control and play a football and positioning sense. So we do need a plan when teams come for a point, park the bus and shut up shop. This is where we need a plan B Enzo.

It would be great all round if he gets his move and we get the money. Sometimes things just aren't meant to be.

I'm not fussed by the title. I'd rather see the team bonding like they currently are and signing contracts (when we are allowed) for a go in the Prem. This team is a strong base to build upon. It's a great chance to play some of the kids as well. I'd imagine we play a much changed 11. Then get the lads out together for the final game at home.

I don't think the leagues know either! My additional arguments would be: You can't deduct points from teams in different seasons for the same accounting period. Forest and Everton have had their deductions. The damage the league has done to our finances by allowing us to be relegated by a point to a team in breach of the rules. Also our reputational damage needs to be taken into account. Check out what Leeds fans are saying about us. Although in a years time they may well come round if they to are stuck with players they can't shift and then falling foul of financial rules themselves. Whatever happens it's another blow to football in this country. Most people only see what's happening in simple terms which is Man City (winning titles), Everton, Forest (staying up) and now us with our promotion are profiting from cheating. My thinking is the Prem will ask for a sizable points deduction and the panel will whittle it down to a nominal 3 points due to a multitude of reasons as to why we have breeched. The crazy thing is we still don't know how much we have actually breeched by, if at all. It's all grey!

I don't think we are as far off as people think. Our starting team against Saints doesn't need a lot. Yes we might not be able to compete with the top teams but we have the basis. The Southampton game also gave us a blueprint on tactics. I'd like us to buy Fatawu. Sign up Vardy for the season, Vestergaard and Ndidi on short term contracts. Release Ihanacho and Praat. Sell Ward, Daka, Kristenson, Thomas and Souttar. We'd need a CB to replace Doyle or another loan deal. We need a couple of 8's. One could be Soumare, but it annoys me that he walks straight back into a Prem squad. I'd imagine the squad might not be happy to welcome him back either. A wide player and if Daka and Ihanacho go a striker. It sounds a lot but we will loan players. My biggest worry has always been that we get promoted and have a weaker squad than this season. KDH- depends on him. The money would be useful but we'd have to reinvest it into the squad. It all depends how much of a necessity it is to comply with the EFL's demands. My understanding is we could sell him in June under the EFL and then be able to use the money in July in the Prem. Bonkers. I'd imagine the club will sit down with the out of contract players this week. If they have truly gelled recently then they might be more tempted to stay. Let's face it. The money is good at Leicester. Will they get such good deals elsewhere? I know that's what's got us into a mess but it must be a draw for players knowing they will be financially looked after and the owner goes for it. I can't write let Albrighton go... I hope he plays or at least gets a half at home last game of the season. I really want to see him play with Vardy one last time.

I think we will look back at it in a better light in a few years. Southampton and Leeds were both Prem teams for a good while before they were relegated with us. Not easy opposition. I'm just so relieved it's done.

I get your point. But Southampton, Leeds and us had been Prem teams for a few seasons. We all have Prem players and Prem money. Next season will be different in the Championship if Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton are relegated as they won't have survived even a season of Prem football. I'd love for Ipswich and either West Brom or Norwich to come up with us as they won't have the budgets/spending power of Leeds/Southampton. If only one of Burnley or Luton can survive it would really help us out. All nonsense until we get over the line ourselves tho. Let's hope that's sooner rather than later.

My perception of our strikers has really changed this season. Most of us thought the one position we were stacked out with quality was striker at the beginning of the season. I honestly thought it would be Ihanacho's year and if he got injured we had Vardy. We signed Cannon as well. Then the goals weren't coming from the strikers I thought it was the system we were playing. Now having watched Vardy and Daka miss so many chances, Ihanacho look lazy and yet Cannon still can't get a look in I think striker is one of our weakest areas.

The pattern is actually that all 3 goals in our last 3 defeats have come from the side where we invert the full back.
