Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

I cannot even face watching from behind the sofa this season. Full face shield and ear plugs, mouth open waiting for it to blow up. Its that or bent over beside a tub of Vaseline. Neither gives me any joy, the former is going to be less degrading. Never has a promotion year ever felt like this, observing a wreck that has already happened. -
We never actually bought him, he was a loan player, so he might get a pass on the thread topic.

Everyone seems to have forgotten about Gökhan Inler.

The side isn't a patch on the one that got relegated 2 years ago. We lost those 2 games against spudsy 9-4. Spurs are an improved side on 2 years ago. -
Can't we just get a season pass and start in the Championship in a years time?

Competition: How many shots will we have against Tottenham?

If we are really lucky we might gain an own goal. -
I think we will be bottom after the opening game and still bottom after the 38th game.

Saturday 3 August v FC Augsburg pre-season friendly

Everyone knows we may as well play the ladies first 11 next season and save some wage costs for all the difference it'll do the end result. -
And the recruitment of the likes of Bertrand in 2021 was like picking nuggets off the ground. Recruitment hasn't grabbed a decent appreciating talent since wantaway Fofana, its all gone a bit to shit for a good number of years now. Basically, since the Chairman passed on.

I enjoyed a wonderful holiday in May this year where for three consecutive days we had 13C max daytime temperatures and lots of near horizontal rain, all as we were all enduring the hottest ever May on record.

Bankruptcy should be your last option. You could forget credit or loans for a long time and then you will only get offers well above standard interest rates. There are food banks around that operate like debt relief banks, usually run by religious organisations. Schemes where you pay for the food you take and that money is then directed to service and hopefully pay down your debts. The body effectively helps you manage and get on top of your debts for free (as in there is free advice). If your monthly food spend is sufficient to cover your loans then this would be a sensible solution to investigate if you have local food bank groups that offer this support to those struggling with debt.

Having declared his interest it must be Potch. At least then we can lose in an exciting manner rather than lose having bored the tits off everyone and everything.

I think about 20 million people were going crazy at the lack of box presence every game with Kane often looking for clover somewhere behind the midfield.

Southgate retains his achievements record of only attaining relegation for Middlesborough intact. He has never been a good manager, far too defensive, far too loyal to waning players and prattles on way too much about inclusion over tactics. I'll be glad to see him gone then hopefully it'll be an end to no left feet left of field players and 90 minutes defending a lead plan 'A'. So many players failed to materialise in this tournament that the final was only achieved via our now usual best side of the draw route. Tripper was a back slide specialist leaving the entire top left hand side vacant for England. Kane was usually most effective 25 yards from our own goal. Walker needs to retire. Rice was nowhere to be seen. Foden huffed and puffed with no impact. Bellingham was clearly washed out and in need of a holiday. The only consistent player was Saka and he was never in last nights game. Pickford had a decent tournament. That is about it. Boring boring England, hopefully this era is coming to an end.

The big positive is he has played successfully at PL level. Is a known quantity and has a special relationship with the owners who mentored him through his business degree studies. I just hope that his course project didn't case study football club books management.

Labour are going to be burnt toast soon enough. Already unpopular in both leadership rating and the popular vote where 67% voted for other parties raising taxes and going loopy on identity politics will soon see large swings against them in by-elections. When they only managed a 33% vote share small swings will loose Labour hundreds of seats at a future GE. The next 2 elections have the potential for anything goes unless Labour effect constitutional change that will lock themselves into power.

At least now we know. Go Gareth, backs to the wall master.

Refreshing to hear the commentators and punters calling it like everyone else is seeing it for a change. -

Its the Southgate way, defend a 1 goal lead even if 89 minutes left to play. -
Rudkin should be appointed caretaker manager for the season. On a free and it won't affect the outcome.

Prices are cheap for any masochists wishing to attend. It'll be engaging in 100 minutes of pure agony and embarrassment as the team gets battered week in week out. Nowhere else will quite match that USP.
