  1. Were points deducted next season then we could well be the first club in history to finish on negative points.
  2. Tactics are to have 95% of possession within 30 yards of our own goal. In the old days lofted hoof ball from Albrighton or quick forward passing from Madders and Tielemans was the answer. Today its not an options seeing Madders, Tielemans and Barnes have left and Vardy got old leaving everyone walking around and shooting like they are wearing wellies.
  3. Does anyone actually believe this side is fit for the EPL other than to get their arse handed to them week in week out? A month ago I was talking to my Leeds FC supporting mate and he said everyone was fighting for 2nd in the league, I told him 1st was up for grabs because we were playing boring shit 10 man defence football and the gap was only 12 points.
  4. I thought we would lose tonight so I went out for a night on the raz instead. Good decision. 1-0.
  5. I am worried our 10 man defence may not hold out for the 95 minutes at Leeds. They are looking like the in form potential Champions at the moment.
  6. I wouldn't pay to watch this walk around football.
  7. Our back 10 is struggling again
  8. I've wasted 40 minutes trying to find a stream - can anyone help me out. Really need to watch those half time ads.
  9. Stream still stuck on the penalty
  10. Vardy should probably be retained, not as a player but as club ambassador taking over the role of Alan Birchenall who is 78 now. Heskey has been brought in primarily as the female side ambassador, I can see a Heskey and Vardy joint ambassadorial roles working well for community relations and aiding youth development.
  11. The FFP debacle that took a moment in time and froze it. So clubs who were declining were destined to permanent decline. Clubs that spent Billions to buy success, could continue to spend Billions. The English Football League will have an opportunity to address the entire FFP straightjacket when the entitled clubs go off to their little league of European entitled clubs. I suspect though that the English game would wield acquiesce and allow the entitled clubs to retain feeder B sides in the English and other respective European leagues under whatever rules happen to suit the entitled team owners at that moment in time.
  12. Ryan Bertrand, his name popped up in a nothing piece and I went down memory lane. £8mn paid over to Southampton in 2021 4 EPL games and £8,096,000 in wages later he departed Lowest forum ranked player award for 2021/22. Played 338 minutes. Departed on a free, no taker. That is a not so cool £47,600 a minute.
  13. It does look like he is hanging around. The rumours were all too good to be true.
  14. Sometimes managers forget that football is not just an emotional connection for fans but it is also, foremost, an entertainment business. If you have high energy football with high emotion then that beats at every level a lowered emotion through low energy football. If you go back to the 2014-15 season the football was exciting and we lost a good many games, people were engaged at every level. Take this season with a great win ratio its slow and ponderous football and the stadium isn't rocking with the fan base a little bored. A main concern for the likes of myself is that this style of play with these players will be crucified week in week out in the EPL. A 10 man backline that is reliant on midfielders scoring the majority of goals will struggle to get beyond the half way line leaving the prospect of a good day out returning a backs to the wall 0-0 draw with some heavy defeats along the way.
  15. The bookies have promotion as a 20:1 on at the moment so a £2mn promotion bonus on the transfer fee is to all intents a £2mn add on to the transfer fee postponed for 4 months. They have only played the player for 56 minutes this season so if they would prefer to keep him parked on payroll then that should be a walk away moment.
  16. I assume its the site owner who determines the colours and those who rate the players after each match determine the mean player and team scores.
  17. In terms of bore fest football you only have to look back into the archives. Two years ago there were 15 games that Match Rated higher than 7.0 and went GREEN. We did well that year. Last year we were abject shit and only managed 4 GREEN matches all season. This year, so far we are top of the league and have amassed 2 GREEN matches so far. That tells you all you need to know, its been especially poor entertainment.
  18. Far from dull, I find it is nerve wracking. Gives me stomach ache.
  19. Does anyone actually believe this team is good enough for the EPL. Is it better than the team that got itself relegated outside of the goalkeeper? I think next year looking set to be a lot of heavy 4 goal plus thrashings and easy pickings as we struggle to pass beyond the half way line with our 10 man back line.
  20. Easy in the end for Coventry.
  21. Just proves 25 yard defending for an entire half is shit tactics.
  22. Is anyone actually surprised that deep defending for 35 minutes doesn't work?
  23. Coventry could sub their goalkeeper for another attacker.
  24. 3 against 4 in attack and we manage to get the ball back to our goalkeeper, Jesus wept.
  25. No way we aren't going to concede if we have the team standing within 25 yards of our own goal when they have possession.
