Let's hope we don't drop deep now.

As long as it's good for the club. I think we've been fortunate to date with them on the whole and if bringing in another partner benefits us then great. What we need to avoid is any instability or uncertainty. Seen it with other clubs to their detriment.

Liverpool 2 Leicester 1 post match thread
Cadno'r Cymoedd replied to Webbo's topic in Leicester City Forum
Didn't see the full game yesterday, so having to rely on the MOTD highlights, which could be totally misleading. But what struck me from those is how undisciplined our defensive lines now are. During the PL winning season, the back four stayed in line and forced sides out and away from goal such that they would have to cross the ball and we would mostly clear the danger. All four knew their jobs, positions and stayed firm. Now we are dog-legged, players jumping up and across the field with the effect that sides can go through us. I think we miss Huth big time in that respect. Seems little communication going on and needs to be sorted. -
Is that good or bad in your opinion, if true?

Can echo that... Waiting for the chance of an equiliser now though.

That's it then. End of this game.

Bollocks

If we could get a second goal early this half, that would really play into our hands counterattacking wise hopefully.

Winning at 45!

Famous last words... Hang on till half time!

All the crap Amartey gets. The guy is not a RB. Was not signed as one. His deficiencies there are going to be exposed against top sides. We desperately need new FBs.
-
Worst part of his game is his first touch. Almost always fails to control it cleanly and loses precious seconds or gives it away.

Watford (a) Post-Match Thread (2-1 defeat)

If we are going to have crap performances and results such as today and Palace, the only positive side is that hopefully it persuades the powers that be to allow Puel to bring in some proper PL standard replacements in key positions. Possibly unlikely to be available in January window though, so may have to hope we have enough in the current squad to get well over 40 points and keep us safe till the summer window. Today didn't infuse much confidence though. -

Very disappointing indeed and little optimistic light on or off the pitch it seems. The squad is threadbare in key positions and Claude's had his honeymoon period well and truly ended. -
Shit!

I got up at 5 this morning with a "ahem" muzzy head to watch the game back again - admittedly on fast forward to our bits and Moss's errors - the latter nearly took the whole game anyway. Vardy's goal was just magnificent. The speed and precision (did Wilf really mean that pass?) of the counterattack stunning, until Mahrez's wonderful sense to stop and hold the defender with the looping ball before delaying the perfect pass to Vardy. Then came the brilliance of the execution and timing to deliver a fatal blow to their hopes. What a cross and what a finish. The perfect Christmas present.

Harry Maguire will be a big player for us.

Still needs to do defensive basics better, especially regarding his positioning. -
Man City League Cup 1-1 - lost 4-3 on pens
Cadno'r Cymoedd replied to theessexfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Clearly far from Man City's first team but they had some good footballers out there who were very comfortable on the ball. Once we stopped unnecessarily giving them respect and the early-ish goal, we got into it and with Vardy, Mahrez and Gray wrested the initiative and deserved the 'draw' at FT although the penalty to equalise was fortunate. A stronger outfit and more belief from the off might have won it in normal time. We looked better team in ET but the penalties were really disappointing after the first three. Theirs were excellent. It was better than Saturday and something of a response with more spirit and determination. I see that as a positive despite the disappointment of defeat. The league is far more important. Onwards to beating the other half of Manchester on Saturday evening. -
This is Ndidi's issue too. Awful first time touch which detracts from all his other undoubted qualities. He struggles to control the ball and consequently the ball he then plays is often lost or hurried.

Can echo this.

Gray and Schmeichel our best players and get 6s just. Gray looked like the only outfield player who could be arsed to try before the interval. All the others mix of 3s and 4s. The two central midfielders were swamped and get 3. Defence was a nightmare too apart from Wes' first half blocks, Maguire looking great venturing forward at times but failing to do the basics at the back. No attacking edge at all. Everyone looked tired and leggy, which might be excusable after two trips in a week and the schedule. Well beaten all round including Puel whose seeming indifference and reluctance to make positive changes when it was clear they were needed was baffling beyond. Hodgson clear winner there, setting his team up well, especially once they went ahead.
