  1. Not sure why he needed dropping in from the start. Evidently Cooper recognised we needed a legitimate attacking mid. But surely the sensible option would have been to start with Bueno and then bring this lad on at 60. Build him up incrementally. Not butcher his confidence in one go.
  2. The plucky loser narrative will be seriously waning if we get the same result again today. No more nearly, close , could of been nonsense. We need 3 points Cooper. So make it happen. Be bold and take the initiative.
  3. I didn't actually see him do anything remarkable. Although he did look tidy in possession. But maybe that's the sign of a good CB. Going about their business in a quiet but assured manner. He certainly didn't scare me, which many CBs do. Feeling positive re him.
  4. Played very well Saturday. Used his power and strength further forward to good affect. I'm convinced he should have dropped deeper (unless knackered) for those final 15/20 and we take off Skipp or Winks for Bueno. That would have further utilised his strength and we maintained an attacking / passing threat. Keeping Hamza just where he needed to be. On the bench
  5. He backed the wrong horse called 'Lock it up'. Id have put my money on the one called 'go win it lads'. Negativity breeds negativity
  6. If you don't set out to win matches, but just to stay in them. Then you have nowhere to hide when you lose. He is writing his own P45 at this rate.
  7. He truly believes that you need to be battled hardened in the middle. Hard to break down. And that then affords you a spring board later in the game to become more expansive. But that concedes all impetus the oppos and likely the first goal/s as well. Negativity ultimately gets what it deserves. Cheers fella
  8. I'm generally happy with this. It was always going to be a loan striker at best. He's not tore it up at Palace. But if he had, he wouldn't be coming to us on loan. Given the names bandied about we could have done a lot worse. Let's see if he can rekindle that Celtic mojo.
  9. We've been linked with much worse. Id take that as a loan.
  10. It's shameful really isn't it. Do none of these keepers actually want a career? Or have they signed off on the Conrad Logan keeper career path🫣
  11. You not happy Wout? Bless. Well join the queue mate. No one's happy right now. Suck it up!!
  12. I think your misunderstanding me. I don't see him as Prem ready at all. He's a project in development. So should be our 4th striker or in fact sent out on loan to continue honing his craft. The decision here is not binary i.e. match day ready for Villa or in fact garbage and sell. It's about having a developing squad for now, next week and next season. I think he's a great option to develop. And have seen enough to feel that he will benefit us down the line much more. Be that goals on the park, or more coin than the pissy 5mil being stated.
  13. I think the fact that a shed load of solid / top end Champ teams are chasing him. Would indicate that plenty of managers see his potential. So those saying we've had back to back managers who haven't picked him are missing a point. Those 2 are evidently clueless!! Cannon is the future. Sell at your peril!
  14. Puke in disgust emoji. Followed by flicking the bird emoji.
  15. Some one like - Cannon?
  16. If we don't mention his name it can't happen. No one even speak of it.
  17. You want a signing, and one with ability? Greedy bugger!!
  18. Can play loads for Seville. With a good account of himself. Yet we still can't move the fecker on for any coin at all. Surely we can move him on for 5-7 mil. Surely??
  19. I object to us selling him for anything less than we paid. And in fact would be looking for a margin of profit as minimum. Any other deal is a 'cut your losses ' scenario. And WTF would need to be cutting our loses for? When he's shown ability, is young and has time on his contract. If he can't make our match day squad now. Then get another team to develop him for us. And pay us for the privilege. Simple!
  20. As in we will only play strikers nearing pensionable age? Bloody bonkers!!!
  21. Simply not required. We need an out and out striker. We have ample wide attacking / winger options now. Particularly when / if the Moroccan also joins.
  22. If we sell and lose money on this lad, I will be appalled at our business model. Every time he got on the park, which was rare, his potential was there to see. He needs games to hone his craft. But strikers with an eye for goal are worth their weight in gold. I can't fathom why the Cannon project would be binned off so flippantly.
  23. Can't fault him from tonights performance. But Tranmere offered an little, he had feck all to do.
  24. He's an abomination of a footballer. Can't fathom how he's still on the books of a Prem team.
