Happy memories of queuing for Play off Final and League Cup Final tickets in the 90s. Arriving at Filbert St. at some ungodly hour expecting to be at the front of the queue, only to find hundreds of others had the same idea! Gradually inching towards the ticket kiosks hoping to get the ticket we wanted, and ecstatic when we did! I know technology is the way, but I’m glad I had that experience.

Needs to be spotted going into an Estate Agents and looking at houses in Oadby and Groby.

The two aren’t inclusive. I love and support the team first and foremost. Was happy with Enzo until he said he’d be off if we expressed any dissension on how City played. I think as supporters we are allowed to show our feelings. Emotions are spontaneous at a match and collective groans or shouts of approval are just that, so if the play is boring, fans find it difficult to pretend otherwise. When it’s exciting, the fans are excited too. II do not sit in silence nor boo my team. Yes it was very good, especially early on when the players were learning the new style but other teams cottoned on and he didn’t adapt to combat that. I’m happy with Cooper and am not heartbroken that Maresca has gone. He got us up and that has been mutually beneficial.

Fatawu loves his song. Just change the last line to “Leicester City’s Premier League”

Add to that, the times you have to keep getting up and down whilst they go back and forth to the toilet.

The keeper who couldn’t catch. How many of us were dreading Palace getting a corner if there was time, in the play off final!

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

And brag about how we killed LCFC.😔 if the England job becomes available, hope Potter doesn’t get it. -

Agree with the comments re Grealish and Mahrez but when Barcelona played the tikka taka style, they played around the edge of the opposition penalty area, not between the keeper and on the half way line. It is actually quite boring at times and great when it suddenly increases momentum in attack. Many years ago , Bill Shankley said, after being knocked out of the European Cup by a continental team playing passing football, i can’t remember who, that British fans would never like that type of football. Even Man City fans seem to have a problem with the style, leading to Pep moaning on a number of occasions, about the lack of noise from them. It is like chess moves at times and when works, very impressive, but it’s difficult to beat a swift attack from your own half to a goal within a matter of seconds.

Sadly, what the comments on this topic over the past couple of seasons has shown is the mutual disrespect and dislike between the older/younger supporters. This attitude is probably reflected in life in general. Instead of being united by our love for Leicester City, we are disunited by our disdain for the different generations we attend matches with.

Their keeper was outstanding. Would be surprised if he was still there next season.

I honestly think that some people do think they are funding the State Pensions. I too worked for 40 years and paid my taxes and NI contributions, funding my own pension and paying towards Education, Health and benefits for others. This is how it works. So don’t worry grobyfox1990, you’re not paying for our pensions. We’ve done that ourselves.

Can’t see Muzzy in there. Why Grealish? Is this a joke list🤨

“There’s no loyalty in football anymore”
OnlyOneCity replied to Phube's topic in Leicester City Forum
There were no big boys back then, as there are now. All teams had a star player and you knew virtually every other team’s players. Manchester Utd. were the most famous. Between 1960 and 1972, there were 10 different 1st Division champions. Almost any of the 22 teams were capable of winning the league. There were 9 different F.A. Cup winners. A more level playing field then. Unfortunately the Media have given us a “top 6” , so when teams like City, Villa and Brighton get in there, they don’t like it. -

Walshie was interviewed on Midlands News about it and said he hoped Wolves would get relegated. Sadly they didn’t but we went up and they stayed down. -

He left for the “Sleeping Giant “ that was wolves. At that time, not sleeping, but comatose. The tannoy man used to always play Daydream Believer after he went so that the crowd could join in…. You’ll know why if you were around then -
Not just modern football but modern life. Some people seem to forget that these old fans were around in the days of 8000 at Filbert St. and vicious hooliganism, where you didn’t have to the member of a “firm” to be inflicted with violence whilst supporting City. I know this means absolutely zero to many of our younger fans, unless you may have started getting involved through perhaps your grandparents. Some of you will be old fans with any luck, one day but will probably not recall the animosity shown by some posters, towards that group. We all love City, but some have loved them for longer than others, through age. Doesn’t mean we are better supporters but neither does it mean we are less of a fan because we’re knocking on.

I would think he sees Villa Park as his home. Did love Brian Little though. It ended badly but he set us on the right path.

Can’t help thinking that McKenna has some sort of clause if Man. Utd. come calling. Ipswich may be protecting themselves with better compensation if he does get that call. We can’t compete with the likes of Chelsea financially and trying to do so has put us in trouble. Haven’t Chelsea got some sort of problems with FFP anyway?

Stol has been pretty good when he has played.
-
Perhaps they’ll think he’s David Luiz’s younger brother 🤨
-
Not touting for Rudkin but not sure how it’s his fault that Chelsea want our manager, or why Maresca wouldn’t be interested in going to a so called top 6 team. If he goes then good luck to him, thanks for this season and we move to a new chapter. Just get the new manager in place asap and make sure it’s a good fit. Up the City

Me neither. Brought it all back again. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview and found it very interesting . Kasper is such an articulate and intelligent speaker. Good to hear a player not saying “ you know” every 30 seconds. Why wouldn’t he talk about the title winning season? Gary is also a fan and wanted to get a personal feel about it all. Great player for us and sometimes I think he was wrongly criticised for his alleged “power” in the dressing room. We could have done with him last season, on and off the pitch.

Claudio Ranieri retires from football management
OnlyOneCity replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was walking through Leicester in the summer after we’d won the league. There was a man about 50 yards ahead of me who seemed to know everyone he passed as they all spoke to him and some shook his hand. As he was being stopped, I caught up with him and it was Claudio. I also shook his hand and thanked him for what he’d done. Such a gracious gentleman. Happy retirement Claudio. You brought joy and worldwide love and recognition for a while, to our club.👏👏👏
