I think we are some way off boycotting games. Banners I think are the most noticeable way of protest as vocal protests are not always heard . Also, not everyone is prepared to join in with the swearing abuse. Remember when we had the leaflets for MON? These were waved all over the ground. With the blanket TV coverage we have, banners would soon be highlighted but would need to be well spread around . I actually don’t perceive any suggestion that I don’t go down.

Always the club. Happy to see Top, King Power and Rudkin OUT.

Where is the hypocrisy? You can still support the club when you don’t or can’t attend matches, but there are many who say they don’t care any more but come on the forum and invite others to do the same. Our position is not the same as Wednesday and I don’t see the similarities. We are having financial issues as we know, along with other clubs who were punished for it. For some reason, our punishment is being kept a secret!

All these comparisons to Sheffield Wednesday’s fans problems, are quite honestly, an insult to them. We have not had anything like the upsets they have had. Our players have been paid when they should be and up to the last 3 years, we have had a good PL team. This was destroyed by Rodgers, Top and Rudkin and now we are suffering the frustrations of their actions/inactions. I’m fed up being told on here, by people who don’t attend matches and make out that this is some sort of protest, that everyone else should adhere to this action. We’re told to do anything that involves showing disdain or hate for a club we love, by people who admit to not giving a toss about the club. Coventry are suddenly wonderful, (going well), so perhaps they are the team for you. We know things are bad, just because we still show support for our club, doesn’t mean we are stupid. Those of you who don’t support them anymore, stop trying to tell others to do the same? You seem to be relishing the troubles we’re having, just so you can say told you so. I find it irritating that comments made on this forum, are made by people who have no interest in the club. What’s the point?

Personally think the title of this thread is ludicrous. How many “toxic” players are we talking about? Unfair to class the whole squad as such. Bit like saying the fans are toxic. Generalising again.

I thought when he was warming up that he did actually look like a prancing pony. -
It does not sound happy - go - lucky at all. Are you listening to the Sinatra or Armstrong version

Molly Malone was sung in the mid 60s. WYS obviously has struck a chord with the fans by the number who join in. When Colin Murray did a football anthems show on the radio a few months ago, he thought it was brilliant and was one of the best he’d heard. Not sure Kasabian would have the same response.

Shearer isn’t top 6.

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread
OnlyOneCity replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Because it’s usually used as a derisory term to describe fans who do not subscribe to the practice of booing their own players. Don’t know how many decades it’s been used but I’ve only ever seen it on here in the past few seasons. -

Because it’s always used as an insult to fans who object to booing their own players. I don’t see the relevance in the post mentioned. -

Why feel the need to mention “Happy Clappers” in the post? Seems totally irrelevant. Where is the connection? -
If you hate them so much, piss off and support someone else and use your emotions elsewhere.

In the 60s and 70s, all fans knew who the “star” and the “hard man” was in all the other teams as they all had these players. Paying on the gate was a big plus as you could suddenly decide after 2 that if you fancied going to the match you could do so.Sky has had a big financial impact on the game but has created an elitist few who are only concerned with the international fame and fortune they constantly receive. We stepped up briefly for a wonderful title win, but have been put back in our place. The irony is, the so called “top 6”, rarely finish the season that way.

What were the Cov fans singing ….something in England, you’ll never sing that.

LCFC v Cov - Post Match Thread
OnlyOneCity replied to HesNotGudjonsonn2's topic in Leicester City Forum
Cov’s main attacking threat came from long throws. After all the scare stories about how good an attacking side they are, I was pleasantly disappointed to find they actually weren’t today. Too many times, some of our posters are ready to diss our own. We’re not the finished article by any means but I think we can compete with any other side in the Championship. -

To clarify then presumably he came from an offside position and touched the ball in his own half. -

How can a player be offside in his own half, especially 10 yards inside. -

Perhaps too much to hope that our players won’t get booed by our own fans, before they’ve even kicked a ball tonight. COYB. -
AKCJ what a nasty piece of work you are.

It’s funny how older people attending matches are deemed to be only going for the day out with their pals and not bothered about the game, but then we get a post saying it’s about mocking the opposition fans. Do you not bother with actual match or just how much abuse you can give the home fans. Let fans support them in their own way and stop bullying old fans. Like previously said, ageism seems to be allowed but other prejudices quite rightly, are not.

When Monga scored, Winks was walking about and didn’t even break stride when the goal went in. Then started walking back. Presumably that was when he approached Monga. Surely though you would expect an initial show of relief or pleasure when the goal was scored. Nothing to do with making the narrative suit. His reaction to an equalising goal was nil.
-
Not only did a very talented 16 year old score his debut league goal, but the 29 year old senior player, didn’t bother celebrating it with him. Even Soumare applauded the effort.

From what I’ve read on here, most of the moaners stopped going sometime ago and expect those of us who still want to go and support the TEAM, to stop as well as we are damaging the club. You’ve chosen not to support them anymore, don’t expect fans who love their club, to decide not to go on your say so. We all know the club is in a mess and needs a change at the top levels. Until that happens we will still be trying to urge the team on, whoever is wearing the shirt. We can still boo and abuse the board but refrain from booing the players. We are stuck with them right now and should show some mettle by trying to urge them on to win games. Up the City.

Watch his reaction when Monga scores … there isn’t one.
