  1. It’s by Badfinger
  2. Any songs yet for Marti? Cifuentes here it is come and get it Better hurry cos it may not last
  3. Totally agree. I think his tactical nous maybe underrated. Although he was an unassuming and quiet player, he had an intelligence about football. You don’t necessarily have to bawl players out and throw teacups to be a good manager. I would think his manner and record at City is enough to command respect.
  4. Sarcasm abounds. Out of interest, just exactly what is a Happy Clapper?
  5. Don’t be so bloody patronising. Change needs to happen but do you really think “a few phrases being put their way” is going to sway them? KP won’t go until they want to. The same as protests from fans of other clubs who are well organised, like Utd. , Spurs and Newcastle, didn’t make any difference against their owners. Ashley went when HE wanted to go. We are stuck with them until interests outside of football force them to sell.
  6. If you look back at the many various posts relating to the owner over the last few months, you will find plenty of vicious, personal insults. My response was due to being sick of this constant abuse. It would be in everyone ’s interest if they sold up and we could have new owners and hierarchy. Stating what has gone wrong, is not being personally abusive as it is factual. Calling him a c… and telling him to f… off, is.
  7. I would be more than happy for KP to sell up and for us to get new owners and hierarchy. We need a fresh start and ideas. What I don’t like is the level of personal abuse being dished out.
  8. I am not saying they should be exempt from criticism at all. They must take the blame for what has happened in recent seasons. My objection is to the vile and hateful manner in which this criticism is voiced. Telling them to f… off and calling them c…., do you think that will really change anything? Bigger fan bases than City have also used this tone when trying to get their owners out , with no effect whatsoever. It’s actually embarrassing.
  9. The vile and vicious comments on this forum towards the chairman, are really quite disgusting. Yes we know he has messed up at times since he was thrust into the chair, but there are many good things he and his family have done for our club and City since they came in. I really hope that those on here who are posting these comments, will not be attending matches next season. If not, you can satisfy yourselves that you apparently are the only ones who care about our club, because your vicious comments mean in your heads, that you are the true fans and the ones attending, are only going out of habit. Has it never occurred to you that we actually watch City because we support them, we don’t enjoy seeing them relegated, but we stick by them in the bad times. What is it some of you sing? In the good times and the bad we always back the lads, that’s a joke.Vichai would be turning in his grave if he witnessed the hate aimed at his son.
  10. Apologies for that sentence, the “as always” wasn’t meant to be there. You have your principles and have acted on those. In my case, the emotional pull from City, overrides any other inclinations. But people who choose to break from them, still can’t resist having a dig at those who stay, by saying nothing will change as long as others show support by attending matches. I think a relegation season and loss of a higher profile, which is down to the running of the club,, is far more responsible for this occurrence, than me paying my £15. per match. My support has always been with the players in a City shirt .
  11. Not a very good analogy. Supporting a football team for many, is a big emotional attachment and is not something that is going to change because someone who doesn’t even support the team tries to put you down for showing support you and maybe your family, have had for decades. Supporting City didn’t begin with the Great Escape.. Getting back to your post, there are many other restaurants you could go to without any compunction of ditching the bad one. There’s no other team I want to support. Yes, there are times when they cause me great anger and times when great euphoria. If I want to complain about the club I will. It’s nobody’s business whether I do or not. As always, you have chosen to leave them but there are many of us who have a need and desire to support City. This seems to be something that former fans can’t grasp.
  12. For such a simple game, and apparently simple hobby, football and LCFC seem to be causing much angst and personal affrontary amongst former fans. So you don’t want to watch them any more so don’t. There’s no need to justify it by banging on about being taking for granted etc. I renewed because to me it’s more than a little hobby, it’s an emotional attachment which I can’t just switch off, neither do I want to. We follow the City because we want to and no amount of putting down by those who think they know best, will change that. As for protesting against the board and owners, how many years have Utd. and Spurs, and Newcastle before them, been carrying out multiple protests to no avail? Ashley went when he chose to and not when the fans wanted him to. We are constantly told by fans who have given up on City, that we are “ the problem”. What a load of condescending rubbish. I renew because I love my team and support whoever puts the City shirt on. I don’t show my support by embarrassingly booing the players when their names are read out. Please don’t kid yourselves that because you intend to no longer follow them, that you are doing what’s best. You don’t want to go and have fallen out of love with them, then so be it. There are many of us that still have that feeling of hope that things can get better. You want to do something different on match days, that’s fine, we’ll carry on supporting something that has been in our blood and hearts for many years.
  13. There is a high one on here?
  14. You won’t be celebrating and that’s your prerogative. Don’t put down others who also exercise their prerogative by celebrating that wonderful time for this club and city. There are far too many miserable gits on this forum who treat other fans with contempt if they show any pride in the team. Doesn’t mean we don’t acknowledge what a mess we’re in right now. You can actually still celebrate those brilliant times whilst still being infuriated by the current state of affairs. Football is an emotional experience and you can’t just switch that off because someone else thinks you should forget that emotional time.
  15. Thought it was you made us sing that. Totally different meaning
  16. Fuchs and Albrighton had a bit extra affinity with fans. This is not about best players.
  17. Now that we have lost our iconic legend, I started thinking about players who were particular crowd favourites during my time of following The City. From 1966, Banks, Gibson, Dougan, Glover, Large, Wortho, Weller, Lineker, Gary Mac, Walshie, Muzzy, Fryatt, Knocky, all of the Champions, but particularly Vardy, Fuchs, Huth, Albrighton and Morgan. Probably missed others’ favourites but these are mine.
  18. No impartiality here. An obvious dislike for Lineker so not going to be an impartial assessment of his time on MOTD. Personally thought he was an excellent presenter and at least gave City mentions they wouldn’t get anywhere else. Good that not all presenters are so called big 6 fans.
  19. Can’t really just blame one incident but when it’s late in the season it seems to count more. Maddison also made a dreadful back pass against Bournemouth and they scored and we lost.
  20. Like Martin O’Neill once said, we are not a club to be trifled with!
  21. What do the bookies know? 5000/1 anyone!
  22. Totally agree with this. For me, one of the worst aspects of Foxestalk this season, has been the mutual abuse and contempt shown to fellow fans by those who support the team differently to others. We all presumably share the same wishes for our club but that has been lost in the constant griping at each other. Just accept that we show our support in different ways but the hope and wishes are the same.
