  1. I'll let you know, I'll find out on Sunday morning.
  2. We'll get Man City. Don't the promoted champions always get the PL winners?
  3. Q4, IPace, Ayira, Ionic 5 or Polestar 2. All of those would fit within your budget and be 2 to 3 years old. Our charger came free with the car from the Jaguar dealer, some of the dealers might still do this on limited offers. But through your energy supplier is a good option. Or you can get from an independent supplier. Generally, home chargers are 7kw but you can get 22w if you've got 3 phase. Octopus have a specific charger if you've got solar power at home. If you're mainly doing short journeys and won't need a full charge every night, 7kw will be more than adequate. We rarely need to charge away from home but on longer trips just use ZapMap to find/plan a charger enroute and see the cost/charge power. And a lot of Europe are pretty well set up with infrastructure for chargers. https://www.smarthomecharge.co.uk/chargers/
  4. I still find it remarkable that with a population of 300M+ people, one of Trump or Biden is the option for President.
  5. Following up on my last post. Letter received from HMRC today. Great, I thought. But, no.....the letter does not include the critical 18 digit code that they say I need to make a payment. 4 weeks for a letter that doesn't include the one piece of information pthat I requested/they demand. You just couldn't make it up!
  6. I'm selling myself short, I only had a kitkat! Well done you though for disregarding your dislike of needles and donating.
  7. Have to disagree, the interior of my IPace is just as nice as the interior in my ICE Jaguar, with added extras in the IPace. I did test drive some with bizarre interiors though. I think some manufacturers were trying to hard to be different. I couldn't deal with controlling everything through a Tesla screen. The heads up display is a brilliant invention, speed and sat nav right in front of you. Adaptive cruise control is another great idea, takes a bit of getting used to but excellent on motorway or in heavy traffic.
  8. Bumping the Give Blood call. I've been today and, coincidentally there was a news appeal today. BBC News - O-type blood donors needed after London cyber-attack https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2eeg9gygyno It's an hour of your time, it's painless and you get free biscuits 😋 To others, it's a matter of life and death.
  9. Has anyone with an Octopus smart meter had any issues with their readings and billing? For the 2 years we have had it, the monthly cost shown on the meter and the actual bill have been pretty similar. The past 2 months the meter and bill have been around £40/50 different. Not in our favour, obviously! Octopus have said the meter cost is only to give a rough idea of consumption. Anyone else noticed a sudden disparity?
  10. Yes. My aged 80+ parents and other mature family members have just had theirs.
  11. Asked HMRC for a letter with a reference number to pay a NI top up, 4 weeks and no sign of it yet. Surely, they just press a button and the computer generates it? That's how my old office worked. How can it take so long?
  12. And driving licence and your passport.
  13. We shouldn't allow stuff like this to be published, or we're never going to get rid of him!!
  14. Usually accompanied by ridiculous reverse v signs 🙄
  15. Very true, however, we've got Rudkin doing the deals...
  16. I really enjoyed it. Other half was less than impressed, mainly due to Richard's acting.
  17. Coalville Town 23rd July. Although, i don't know if the issues at Coalville recently will impact this.
  18. 5 Litre Concentrate Spray & Leave Cleaner - Patio Fencing Decking - Green Mould & Algae Killer https://amzn.eu/d/d03THnm @Free Falling Foxes Also recommend this stuff. Mix together with the weed killer and spray about every 6 months.
  19. https://amzn.eu/d/bSGmgHs Elixir Gardens 360 g/l Glyphosate Commercial Industrial Strength Weed Killer | Treats up to 3332 sq.m | Concentrated Herbicide/Weedkiller | 2 x 1 Litre Bottle + Measuring Cup & Gloves https://amzn.eu/d/bSGmgHs Have been using this and found it very effective.
  20. It's never bothered them before...🤔
  21. Singapore is a lovely City. I can't recall exactly what we did and my usually reliable itinerary document isn't very informative. We were supposed to be going to Shanghai and it was switched to Singapore, with only a few days notice, when travel to China became prohibited Feb 2020, so our planning was a bit adhock. The gardens are stunning and we definitely went to the ship hotel. China Town was great, if not ironic on our visit! Bangkok is a mad place, lots of nice temples and we did a lovely river cruise. If you're flying into Singapore, check the prohibited items list carefully and also the customs to observe whilst there. Things like eating on the tube carry a fine.
  22. I barely dare answer but...ours isn't ever turned off, the thermostat is just left to control it. So, yes, a couple of times in the past week it has kicked in and been on for a short while.
  23. That's as 'good' as Katie Price joining her bankruptcy hearing via Zoom, whilst on holiday in the Maldives.
  24. Ha! Oh doh! That's what speed reading late at night does for you
