  1. Not quite, you need to consider the current season and your previous 2 seasons. So what we do this season (24/25) will be included in the calculation along with the past 2 (22/23 & 23/24). so if we have huge losses in one of those three seasons the other two years need to balance it out. So selling KDH apparently makes us compliant for the period 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24. But whatever we spend this coming season will be used to calculate losses for 22/23, 23/24 and 24/25. So the big losses we had in 22/23 are likely to affect us for a couple of seasons.
  2. I believe it's a rolling 3 years, so whatever we do this season needs to balance out with the last two seasons as well. Including a season in the championship which reduces your allowed losses from 105m to about 85m
  3. This is the key question, but unfortunately we aren't going to know the answer until the spring. With the players we sold last summer and now KDH, if we fail for 23/24 we should all boycott games due to chronic financial mismanag until there's a change a the top!
  4. I've never been less excited to watch a football tournament. That's pretty much down to watching England play
  5. Enzo has a tactic and a style of play. Southgate just picks 11 players and crowbars them into a 4231. With Enzo you could see what he was trying to do. Wingers stay wide, two high 8s underlapping for the wingers, inverted full back for the extra player in midfield. But with Southgate I don't think we have any identity whatsoever. It's been criminal to let him stay in the job this long and still be in a situation where he just relies on having better players than the opposition. Hence why we always lose when we come up against a decent side.
  6. Just watching Spain play and the balance they have with two wingers and Pedri finding pockets as the 10. Yet here we are playing several players out of position and not having a clue what we're doing.
  7. Playing exactly as expected with Southgate.
  8. Ipswich away on boxing day
  9. I suspect this was agreed when Enzo was here, and then he ****ed off. Only announced today due to the embargo ending.
  10. Mega rich people don't like being told what to do, they'll keep chippy away at the premier league until it's exactly as they want, and screw the rest of us.
  11. Time for the ridiculous unpunished time wasting
  12. His tactics got him over the line with the best team in the championship, but when you realise he lost nearly 25% of the matches played, it shows that when the tactics don't work, they really don't work. Ipswich lost 6 and Burnley lost 3. No team has won the league and lost as many as we did in the past 10 years. I'm slightly disappointed he's leaving as I'd like to have seen Enzo ball in the prem, but I'm not really that devastated as I think quite a few of the managers we've been linked to this week could have done the same and lost less games.
  13. If he goes we take the £10m and move on. He delivered promotion which was his main target. It would have been interesting to see how we would have performed under his tactics in the premier league, but the limitations we saw in the championship would likely be exploited even more. I can't blame him for going to Chelsea, yes they're a basket case, but we're not far off with the financial mess we're in. It'll be more money, higher profile, better players, and a massive pay off if it goes pear shaped. He may never be offered a job at a "top 6" side again, so he's got to back himself and take it.
  14. Marching on to...... The kassam stadium 😂😄
  15. As much as Brussel Martin is a dick, I still dislike Leeds much more so hope Southampton go up.
  16. I'm not particularly confident about him as a defender in a premier league relegation battle team as we'll likely not have enough of the ball to the benefits of having him in the team. But saying that, I think Enzo is well aware of Vestergaards limitations, and if he still wants to keep him, then I'd go with Enzo's choice.
  17. No thanks. He's had a (one) great season, but spending big money on players his age isn't going to help us financially
  18. This. It's quite concerning how many have done so, I think the majority of epl have American investors and you've also got team further down the pyramid (Birmingham, Wrexham, Leeds, etc.). They don't want to wait for it grow in America, even with bringing in Messi, so they're just buying it from the most popular brand. The 39th game will eventually happen, most likely as a playoff like the NBA or NFL. After that the move will be to get rid of relegation and consolidate the franchises.
  19. Oh yeah, I should read the topic more closely 😂
  20. Yep. Bergkamp hat trick. They went 3-1 up in the 90th minute, then Walsh and Elliot scored even later.
  21. 3-3 with arsenal. Not a win, but felt like it at the end!
  22. He's been great for us ever since he came in, but he still feels like a square peg in a round hole in that number 8 position. And although he'd be a great player to have in the squad I don't think we can afford his wages if he's not going to be starting every game. Unless Enzo plans to play a double pivot with winks against stronger opposition I'd let him go and wish him well.
  23. We're overloaded in some areas like centre back and upfront, but really lack depth across the midfield and wingers.
  24. I think this plays a big part. He's probably never played this much football in a season, even when fully fit. Looking at this seasons minutes in the league (not including today), he's played 2.5 more 90s than any other outfield player.
