We just haven't got the quality of player. I also don't think we have enough goal scoring players who have scored goals in their career. So if vardy doesn't score, no one else does. Bilal looks a great prospect, but he's only scored 6 in 112 games.

The squad just lacks the quality to compete at this level. You might get away with it with players with a point to prove, but we have Ayew, vestergaard, DCR, Hamza, who are more than happy to take the money and go through the motions. We had more possession, more shots, more touches in their box, so we did function as a team, but then it comes down to the players to use their ability to make things happen, but their ability is lacking

We desperately need to replace him with an all round centre forward who can hold it up and bring players in. As much as I'd love him to go on forever, it feels like this season he's a bit of a luxury l, particularly against teams where we don't have much possession. He's an ideal impact striker against tired centre backs, but he doesn't have the legs to start every game anymore.

Similar Okolie leaving, this too feels short-sighted. If we go down, he would be perfect for us with Vardy ageing and Daka still not performing. We may well need to bring in 3 strikers in the summer if Cannon goes. I only hope they have someone lined up to come in with the money this sale generates.

Maybe he hasn't settled, but selling a 23 year old centre back who is on the cusp of the Italian squad seems quite short-sighted to me, especially when you've got Coady and Vestergaard coming to the end of their careers. I doubt we get the money we paid for him, but he may have some kind of release clause if we go down, so we're cashing in now as he's not playing.
