This is very similar to my experience, did away with twitter years ago as it was offering zero positivity in my life. The same with Facebook, where I only use it for family contacts, but it's just full of suggested post's, ads, and real posts from 3 days ago. I'm most active on Instagram, but even that is slowly becoming the same, full of scammers, ads and doom scrolling.

I don't think they'll win the league, I don't think they'll even make top 4. Four of the following will finish above them Liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea, man city and Newcastle. They've already lost more matches than we did when we won the league.

I wouldn't blame him. It might be for the best to try and get Top to realise what a shambles we are with the current decision makers. But I think they're all too far up each others arses to see it

Considering he spoke to Enzo before taking the job, I'd like to think he had an idea of what he was getting into. Enzo never seemed to be much of a fan of the hierarchy, and hopefully he was honest with Ruud.

I bet thats why we've paid so much for him. Paying to have him on loan for a year, plus paying enough to cover his wages for him to sit on Palace's bench for the year extension!

The fact we don't seem to be close to bringing any players in yet makes me think it's close, and the club aren't 100% sure on whether we have breached or not. Chelsea have sold hotels and their womens team to themselves, the latter for £150m apparently! Our women's team isn't worth that much, but surely we could have sold it for £10-15m to cover the estimated £12m breach.

What a complete waste of money. I'm guessing we could not register him in the league squad and bring in another loan alongside Buonatte, it might encourage palace to take him back if they know he's never going to play, but also never do business with us again. I hope we knew this before the window opened, but I doubt we bothered to ask the question until now!

Spurs first choice keeper out, so just signed another keeper. Considering our defence is atrocious, how have we not got anything lined up.

If he has any self respect he wouldn't want to be associated with this shambles of a club. He'd get another job, probably more easily than if he stayed and went down with this squad.

You can't survive in the premier league without a squad of premier league players, and we just haven't got that. If we don't bring in three players this window that go into the first 11, Ruud should walk and I wouldn't blame him.

Lack of quality all over the pitch, and the worrying thing is we don't seem close to changing that. New blood needed before QPR game and two huge home league games

Deserved a point today, played well just lacked that cutting edge. Two new wingers and two new defenders needed in January

We got a higher xg against a full strength Liverpool than Ipswich did against arsenal without saka. They also had a higher xg against. They might have looked good at points, but achieved very little

Shows flashes of being good enough, got the assist for the goal. But doesn't carry a consistent threat and gave the ball away a lot. Other problems in the squad, but it would be nice to have another winger to compete with him.

Shame to concede just before halftime, but I'd have taken 1-1 at halftime against comfortably the best team in the league this season

It will happen eventually, the people involved aren't used to taking no for an answer so they'll keep pushing, throwing money at it, and paying off whoever they need to. It's happened in other sports already. For the likes of us and other major European leagues it will be bad. But for supporters from everywhere else it will be seen as good. The markets around the world want to see Ryan Reynolds Wrexham playing Leo Messi's Inter Miami, not Palace versus Brentford. It will all become about brand and celebrity, with no relegation, and fans who will support the spectacle rather than a team.

That's kind of why I think having an 8 playing slightly deeper than a 10 would give us more in central midfield when out of possession, and reduce the ease in which teams can play through us, and may also help with deeper creativity as none of our 6s are particularly creative. Creativity may improve when winks is back. A better 6 (and back 4) would be great, but I imagine the club would be reluctant to invest more in that position.
