  1. Crossroads, watched it as a kid with my mum and it really was bloody awful.
  2. Taboo was excellent, disappointed there was n’t a follow up series. I guessing old Tom had bigger fish to fry in Hollywood.
  3. He probably did that knowing Trump will reverse it anyway in 6 weeks.
  4. Had to turn it on yesterday once we figured out how to operate the hand held thermostat, as my bedroom had dropped to 14. Talk about leaving it to the last minute. 🤪
  5. Just finished it, bit of a slog towards the end. I don't understand why DNA was never brought up. Fingerprints would have been easier provided Scotland Yard kept Lucan’s prints!
  6. Watched Alien Romulus last night. Really enjoyed it, lots of nods to the first two Alien films, but different enough to stand alone. Imo much more entertaining than the rather dull Prometheus and and Alien Covenant.
  7. I really don't believe that theory. Do you think that the absence of one quite frankly average footballer, such as Dewsbury-Hall seriously weakens Leicester? More to the point I don't think the so called big six are concerned with other team squads, to the extent they make that one of their transfer strategies.
  8. It’s seems to me that there are more than a few players, who appear quite happy to take the big money and settle for being a squad player that rarely plays. As a club Chelsea have become synonymous with this from Winston Bogarde in early noughties (only played 9 times in 4 years despite being a Dutch international) to Dewsbury-Hall. Man City, perhaps because they also seem to have an enormous squad regularly do this. Fact is for me the players are just as culpable as the clubs.
  9. Anyone old enough to remember ‘In bed with my dinner’ and a famous tv documentary of the early 90’s might find this interesting. Its a long podcast, but the first 20 mins in particular are quite powerful.
  10. Interesting cast. Is it the story, or the characters that compare unfavourably with the original?
  11. Welcome to the new Heath Secretary!
  12. There is far too much International football as there is, this is the third break already. You could argue that Kane has experienced more success with England than he has with his clubs, so perhaps not surprising that he holds that view.
  13. Really, in what way? He rolled over for Trump and had his belly tickled like most of the others. As soon as Trump gets fed up with him, he will be out of the door anyway.
  14. Classic 90’s sci-fi. Tbh don’t really get reaction videos, like who cares.
  15. Not sure why any of these appointments should surprise anyone, this is Trump’s cabinet after all. No black appointees, so no change there then.
  16. Apart from the main city of Gloucester, which is a depressing dump. Cheltenham on the other hand………..
  17. Incredible to think that Lineker started back in 1999, makes me feel really old. No idea who his successor should be, however there are some that I would n’t want such as Scott, Walcott and thankfully Jenas is out of the running.
  18. 30 Walcott now comparing Isak to Thierry Henry. What a useless pundit he is.
  19. We were crying out for a proper clinical striker last season and he didn't get one. He again didn't buy one for this season and we have been left with Jesus and Havertz who are just not good enough. He has Wenger’s arrogance, but unlike him is not going to win us major trophies.
  20. Delighted that Man City are on this run, annoyed that we have also been crap so can’t take advantage of it. Too be honest some of our recent football much like Man City has been difficult to watch. I have been more entertained by teams like Brighton and Fulham, who play some lovely attacking football.
  21. Sad news, only 69 too. Such a great sinister presence in so many films, besides Candyman.
  22. Don’t think Calvert-Lewin had anything to worry about, since he is only 27 and Sigurdson is 35. 😂
  23. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/racist-texts-slavery-fbi-b2643559.html Another downside of voting in a racist, it of course emboldens others.
  24. Don’t think she is going to incite an insurrection, do you?
