Not looking forward to this. On the plus side at least it can’t be as bad or embarrassing as last Sunday. Surely. Then again, it would be so Leicester to go and win today.
-
No longer able to make this so if anyone wants a single adult ticket in H1 for a tenner inbox me. I have the ticket in hand so will send in the post.

Sickening and disgusting. Made even more so by listening to the audio recording at the end. Hopefully he receives some significant jail time. You’d think his football career would be over, but we ourselves kept Danny Simpson on despite him being convicted of domestic violence, so my guess is his career as an elite footballer is over.

I’m surprised some people thought the atmosphere was awful yesterday to be honest. I thought it was decent where I was sat (upper tier just behind the goal). I’ve known better but I’ve known a lot worse. Particularly enjoyed the ‘30 years and you’ve won f*** all’ as it seemed to rile the Leeds fans.
-
Biggest worry for me on Sunday is that Youri looked knackered last night. We’ll need him against Leeds but I’m not convinced he’ll be ready to play 90 mins with the intensity needed against a Leeds side that will run and run.

I’m not sure that’s how they operate. Probably send the manager a letter inviting them to a meeting at an overseas embassy. That’s when you know you’re in trouble.

Don’t get me wrong Newcastle’s start to the season warrants Bruce probably being up there as one of the favourites for the sack. BUT…this media narrative about Newcastle being amazing fans that deserve success is utter rubbish based on that evidence. 85 mins the stadium was half empty, and the abuse aimed at Bruce all game (considering he’s a Newcastle fan and has kept them in the premier league on next to no budget) shows to me they’re not as great a fan base as the media like to portray them as.

First time I’ve watched the women’s team. I got into it as it’s Leicester and I think it’s great that we’re incorporating the women’s side into the club so I’d like to get behind them when I can. If I’m honest though the standard was poorer than I’d expected. Ultimately though it’s not the likes of Chelsea that Leicester need to beat if they want to stay in the WSL.

They way they’ve held on for 80 minutes I’d be gutted to see them not get a point now
-
What a save!
-
I know very little about women’s football so the fact I recognise some of these Chelsea players probably means they’re decent! The bookies are rarely wrong so the fact Leicester are still around 20/1 at half time in a 0-0 says it all.
-
I know they’ve not started the season great but I’m amazed it’s still 0-0 and yet Leicester are 22/1 to win - it doesn’t bode well!

Long shot I know but I’d like to chuck my name in the hat for 2 adult tickets. If anyone can’t make it and you have two tickets I’d love to buy them and make use of them! Will also settle for 1 adult ticket if that’s available. I’d really appreciate any help so thanks in advance. -
A question I’ve pondered in dreamland now and again and the answer is it would depend on what stage I was at in my career. If I was at Vardy’s stage, later years of career, won the premier league, FA Cup, charity shield and a golden boot, then I’d stay at Leicester. Finish off my career and preserve legendary status at a club I love. But…if I was early twenties and not yet won a trophy with Leicester, it might be trickier to turn down a big move. Not so much for the money, but more the chance to win major trophies. Yes I know Man United is probably a bad example over the last 5 years but if you play for a ‘big 4’ the chances of you winning a champions league or league title are much improved. It’s that I’d want more than the money.

Obviously there’s a side of me and probably all of us that will enjoy the demise of a rival. But only to a point. I don’t want to see any club go under and the Derby fans are no different to us, they’re football fans that deserve better owners than they’ve had to put up with.

Norwich v Leicester Pre Match Thread 28/08(3.00)

The only glimmer of hope from tonight’s performance is that they might be forced to have a long look at themselves and take it out on Norwich at the weekend. -

Poor half. Spent more time passing between the CB’s than actually trying to get through West Ham. Was definitely a red card. Yes he was off balance but Perez didn’t have to overstretch like that, it was dangerous. That being said I can’t believe some of the hatred on here for Perez…it was only 3 months ago his interception was critical in winning us the FA Cup -
I think a lot of it might have been he was in a relatively poor man united team though.
-
Chelsea could have a field day if they want to. Arsenal’s defence is poor at the best of times let alone when they’re missing their new shiny £50m man
-
Completely agree but then I’d take that every season. I get that ultimately we need champions league football to progress financially, but I never want to turn into an Arsenal type team where 4th is seen as more successful than an FA Cup or even league cup win. I’d take one of those trophies over a champions league spot (except for 1st of course) every time.

I know. This really griped me to be honest - probably more than it should for £1.50 😂 it’s the principle of it though. -
Fairly sure I remember reading somewhere that the premier league provides a 75% sized replica to keep. Could be wrong though.

What a great game for the neutral this has been! I’d probably feel a bit aggrieved about the pen if I were a Geordie though. Looked like he played the ball onto the legs.
