  1. Wow! My thoughts EXACTLY! Yes, it did work early on - but we started the season as such a powerhouse anything would've worked! This obsession with doing anything that Pep does is, frankly, ludicrous. We simply do not have the calibre of players to be Manchester City look-alikes! Also, this 'inverted fullback' thing? Anybody would think that Pep has revolutionised football with it. He hasn't. I remember the first game I saw at Filbert Street where I was gobsmacked to see that our main attacking and creative threats came from our brilliant Nº3 - marauding through midfield and dominating the game. (Great memories, Mr Nish, what a player!). Also pretty sure that Emelyn Hughes played a similiar rôle for Liverpool and England. So Not New Pep and Not Amazingly wonderful, Enzo.
  2. But do they?? Seeing the looks on the players faces (notaby KDH and Mavididi) and the body language throughout the team - I have my doubts.
  3. Exactly this!! And yet when I suggested, a couple of months ago, that a Plan B was vital - I was lambasted by most of you on here - called a dinosaur and told I didn't understand modern football! I wasn't even suggesting lamping the ball up to a big man à lá Andy Carroll - I was simply saying we needed to have something different to Plan A - ie. something to go to when Plan A was obviously not working!! But, no! Mr Stubborn has to stick to his 'philosophy'; his 'identity'; his 'lets-pretend-we-are-Man.City-but-without-20-of-the-best-players-in-the-world' - hence our embarrasing capitulation.
  4. At least they ended the game with 6 atttackers on the pitch to chase an equaliser (and maybe more) - we just changed JV for Mr.Ineffective! (Musn't change the system or the philosophy - who knows? - we may end up losing?!)
  5. We'll almost certainly be playing these again this season. A good win here (okay, unlikely with our form / their form) would give us a psychological boost, as we've already thrashed them at their place!!
  6. So pleased to see JV starting - confident he will keep his run going and will score (mebee more than one??)
  7. Are we all ready for the Sky Leeds-Love-In today??
  8. ........and if they're not ready, we'll pass it backwards a few more times until they are well and truly set. Same all the time. Never changes.
  9. System is no longer 'high risk, high reward' - now the opposition have it sussed it has become 'high risk, almost no reward whatsoever'. Needs changing.
  10. Well! Nothing to worry about then! If Forest were only hit for 4 points, despite signing in excess of 11,000 players in an eighteen month period - we should get away with just a ban on half time cups of tea. Oh, wait; we are Leicester City (and someone's got to be made an example of.)
  11. Yeah, but only 20,000 to 1 with SkyBet!
  12. We were told at the start of the season that our style wears teams out and we'd score loads late on in matches (we dont). We were told our huge talented squad would mean fewer 'bumps in the road' ie poor runs (it doesnt). We were told other teams with lesser squads would struggle as the season progresses due to injuries and tiredness (they don't). We were told that the players were new to the system, but as they got used to it they would get better and better (they havent). We were told that as we get better, and the others fall apart, that big wins would abound and entertainnent would be part and parcel of winning big (its not). Process? Lets just hope it all comes together for the playoffs.
  13. YEAH!!!!!!! ......but, but .. ... we'll still be losing 3-0 by the 95th
  14. Thats six losses this season (Burnley only lost three times last year) so I'm guessing all the talk of points records will stop. Leeds will now be massively confident; they have just been completely outplayed by a far superior team and yet still won. Hope we find some bottle before our play-off matches against Hull
  15. Oh, I do agree!!
  16. Enzo always has a plan! Trouble is - it's ALWAYS the same plan!
  17. You are absolutely correct but expect zilch comeback
  18. Southampton being absolutely scragged!!! Hull should've had five!!
  19. Yann Kermogant 35 yard winner (again) !!
  20. A seldom remembered loan-player with us has recently joined Bayern Munich in an attempt to actually win a trophy. Amazingly, after winning the league 11 consecutive times and adding multiple domestic and European trophies during that time, there is a very good chance that they will end the season with nothing ... zilch ... zippo. Poor Harry!!
  21. Your posts leave me TOTALLY baffled!
  22. I'm surprised he's playing in the EFL. I always thought he was possibly the worst player to EVER play in the Premier League.
  23. HMMMMMM! We are talking about Sporting here ...!
  24. And maybe a few other players, looking on and thinking WTF is going on with that club.......
