Enzo way is still the way to go but faster with more urgency and intensity until we tire than we revert to a modified hybrid version with more directness. This is player based too. I’m no pro coach but I can see he needs to modify his tactics based on recent results. The data is all there to see clearly.

Fact of the matter is we’ve seen these types of decisions be awarded even with VAR in the prem. when I saw Hamza put his hand on the shoulder I absolutely feared the worst. Just the touch itself gave me shivers. So when the ref didn’t give it I was elated! We can still debate whether it was or wasn’t but with this ref I thought we were screwed at that point. During our hay days vichai was a constant presence at the ground. Not just in meetings but he was everywhere! Changing rooms, meeting players before and after games, charity events etc he properly led by example no matter what. He still had a global empire to control but he made himself available. Now I don’t know Top and I’m not going to blame him for recent times as I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. Maybe be we are unrealistic is expecting Top to be just like his dad. Even if he tried to he simply can’t. Just goes to show the magnitude of what vichai did for our club. He was larger than life. Top maybe struggling to lead. It’s a huge responsibility that he’s taken on. Times are now challenging and he doesn’t have the experience of his dad. Only Top can re-engage if he’s lost focus and only Top can reconnect with the fans and the city during these challenging times.

This team has done it before. It’s still Enzo ball but it’s played at a much higher speed and intensity and will be difficult for a team like Sunderland to keep up. This will inevitably lead to many chances which will lead to real sitters which we HAVE TO SCORE! can’t emphasize this enough when we have the momentum we KILL THE GAME OFF than Enzo can slow the tempo down and play more controlled. These players perform better under these circumstances. Get it drilled into all their thick skulls that this is bloody serious so fix it immediately. Bring on the leaders to keep everyone’s heads up. Need to show ruthlessness not pity. I’m sure Sunderland will be expecting a very angry foxes today.
