Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?
fleshdaddy replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I can get behind this and, dare I say it, I'd be quite excited! He's clearly got something about him, has probably learnt a lot from his time at Parma and yeah, working under Pep will obviously have also helped him. As others have said, it'd good to get in a couple of talented young players from Man City also, avoids us having to spend bigger money on permanent players at this point. And as a fellow bearded bald man, that's just the icing on the cake! -
Guys a waste of space.

Time for Lilley to earn his money for once!

Christ, Welch looked awful there…

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

This is the kind of pond we're fishing in now. Pretty depressing - and what makes it worse is it's totally self inflicted! I don't really want Smith to carry on, and out of that list it'd be McKenna and Maresca for me, in that order. As a few others have said, at least appointing one of those would hint at a bit of a change of direction and the desire to build a new identity. -
Too little too late, for me. As others have said, I just can't see a world where Everton, at home, don't beat an already safe Bournemouth. I just can't see it.

What a game!

He’ll be being paid handsomely, so I can’t feel bad for him, but I bloody hope we show a modicum of ambition next season and bring a young manager in. Yeah, the players are toilet but Smith was never the answer. All he seems to do is shout “go on!” to every player closing someone down, I don’t see any tactical nouse at all. -
I love Leicester but christ, we’re absolutely atrocious. Just so, so, so bad. No fight, no quality, just nothing at all. Got to hope we can reset and rebuild next season and don’t do a Sunderland!

He might go on to have a great career elsewhere, but he'll always have a relegation on his CV. Not that it'll define him of course, and I know others have been through it and gone on to do well, but it'll always be a stain and, if it were me and I viewed myself as really good player, something I'd be pretty ashamed of.

You just know it's going to the last game of the season, and we'll need to win to stay up, and a few teams will yoyo into and out of the relegation places, but we'll go 1-0 up, then concede a late equaliser which will send us down...

I’m on a flight and don’t land until about 10pm UK time and after tonight’s heart attack inducing game I’m quite glad I must say! Hope we make the King Power a cauldron and I land to 3 points. Come on lads!

Massive saves.

Hang on lads!

Go on Nacho!

As others have mentioned, I'd rather we have a go so why not. I do fear that midfield pairing of Soumare and Tielemans though.

Realistically, with where we're at right now, a decent appointment and I feel a lot more positive. Lots of experience and know how amongst him, Shakey and JT. Come on lads. -
This is it. How senior management ever let that happen is just beyond me. Players should have been moved on, only nobody else would pay what we wanted, or match what we were paying, in terms of wages. Just so many either flat out bad decisions in terms of recruitment, and failure to actually make a decision, which arguably is just as bad as making the wrong decision, when it comes to seemingly having blind faith in Rodgers. You reap what you sow, we’re going down because of total mismanagement.

If we don't win this, you can put a fork in us.

Braindead from KDH, that.
-
Ditto. Stage 5. Acceptance. How things have been allowed to get this bad is totally beyond me. It's on Top.

I miss that team / those years! -
Yep, correct call. Wonder who goes in there. They struggle to score, but have a decent enough squad. I do think Southampton and Bournemouth will go down, but the last spot is properly up for grabs! New manager bounce with Everton (who I think will stay up) and possibly Leeds now, though they have some difficult games coming up. It'll be interesting!
