The likes of Mads, Winks and Mavididi won't stay around again. Ricardo and Vardy may no longer play for us. We'll be left with the likes of Ward, Choudhury, James, Daka and Coady to fashion a winning side (not to mention FT favourites Faes, Vesty and McAteer). Good luck with that squad. Fair comment (although we've often seen managers flop at big-spending clubs like Chelsea and Man U). It would be interesting to see Pep take charge of a club like Norwich or Plymouth for a couple of seasons. Of course it will never happen, he'll only ever go somewhere they could afford him.

I've got to the stage where I'd prefer the big 6/7 to feck off, tbh. It all feels rigged, and a system where the top clubs can buy £70 million players to slot into their reserves, means we are kidding ourselves that it's a fair competition. The big clubs have made it obvious they won't allow another us/"Leicester". Let them slope off to their weekly Bayern/Juve/Real/Barca superstars competition.

More a summer suggestion (because of the bus in the beer garden) but the Old bank of England pub on Fleet Street is worth a detour . See also the Salisbury pub on St Martins Lane.

I thought I'd start a positive thread. Please list/promote any Leicester businesses that are kicking it nationwide (or deserve to) I'll start with Dunelm stores. For older folk like myself, it's a great place to search for homewares/bed linen/garden tools etc. Plus they appear to have cracked the instore cafeteria with the Pausa cafe. Doing well up and down the land. Kudos.

1 We sign a class right back in January. 2 We avoid any further injuries, and Mads/Winks/N'Didi and even Soumare are available for the rest of the season. Hang on though, are we about to lose Daka/NDidi/Soumare with that tournament thing.....? 3 RvN will have seen where we are weak, and hopefully can address issues. One more thing. having a coffee in an expensive chain bar. The coffee is rarely better than elsewhere, and the prices are horrendous, but it gets me out of the house and able to relax, take in the scenery (not talking shrubbery) If lucky there'll be some decent music playing, particularly in Joe&theJuice.

A nice cider in the Thornbury Castle here in London today. Although a lot busier than it normally is daytime, still able to find somewhere to sit - in fact it's top of the list for anyone in the Marylebone/Baker Street area wanting a civilised place to drink with a good chance of a seat. Other places in the neighbourhood get over-full most evenings, but because the Thornbury is down a side street it usually escapes being crowded....I said usually, but sometimes the Friday band can bring in the crowds.

Unless you get someone to fetch you a steak!
