Oil prices are slumping, and it looks as though interest rates will decline too. Trump's real plan?

It's not great, but we're not looking at a great depth to draw upon. No good saying you don't think the team isn't good enough, and then play Ayew, Bobby or Skipp. We need some good signings, and that isn't Ruud's fault.

We should make overtures to China, and let their cheap EVs enter the country. Of course in exchange we'd need to make sure they put pressure on Russia to stop their aggression (and China may not want to do that). The existing auto industry here is already doomed in a tariff war, so time to think radically.

We need to make an international signing, then miss registering him by a few seconds. Fans of other clubs will never sing that!

Whenever a supporter of another club knocks us by saying we shouldn’t have sacked Cooper, the obvious answer should be “which Premier League club will now take a chance on hiring him?” I don’t think he was terribly bad as manager, but his influence on the transfer dealings was very harmful.

not too sure why fans of a Turkish club would want such a strong Spanish theme? Sephardic Jews?

Jury needs to be out for a few seasons more before we can make that comparison. I agree that Pep has had the benefit of always being in charge of a mega-club that can make big signings at regular intervals. Otoh there are plenty of managers who would still flop given those advantages. So it's totally off-beam to use the Fraudiola charge; Pep's a top class manager. It's just that I feel there are better contenders for the GOAT tag, starting with Cloughie and SirAlex.

Absolutely. Bad enough being beaten soundly week in and week out. But having to see the Florists gloat about their season is unbearable. Good to see they got beat by the Geordies. Icing on the cake - the fans on newcastle online refer to Forest fans as the "scabs" (not that our union history in the 80s bears much close examination).

Mads and Bilal probably will. Fats, if he can recover top fitness. In the right team and coached well, maybe Soumare (I know, I know). Afraid Ricky is gone now.

Hard to blame a player for just not being good enough. And if they really are lacking effort then it's down to whoever trusts and selects them.

West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

Potter one of worst two managers in the league? You may be right, struggling at the moment to think of a worse one. Although it may just be that Man U have a contender.. -
The basic principle of "blame the other" lies at the bottom of it. Already they are making noises about how women not having enough babies is damaging "western values". Women are the next big target.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Agree. He also had to cope with the injuries to Mads, Wilf and Fatawu, so points comparisons with Cooper aren't valid. -
When you travel, leave passport in hotel or take with you?
SkidsFox replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in General Chat
Take a photocopy of passport and carry with you (or just take a photo on the smart phone), and leave the passport itself in the safe. Of all the things to worry about on holiday, this must come way down the list. -
Bless Akolbire - anyone seen him in action?

Creating our goal showed his talent. I'm a bit concerned that if anything he tries too hard at times and makes reckless challenges. He won't be much use to the side if he gets sent off, and the management will somehow need to cool him down whilst keeping his desire to win/

BeK is something else.

I think I'm in acceptance mode now. Yes the high spots were good while it lasted, and it was a great feeling beating big clubs like Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea. All memories now and we have to adapt to a different level.

The secret behind Wetherspoons' ability to charge low prices, is they try and keep busy for long hours. They're often open from 8.30am to midnight, and although mornings aren't quite as busy as peak time, they're earning all the time. Other establishments will only be busy for a few hours and have to earn enough (to pay the rent/rates/heating etc) in those short hours. Of course Spoons also use their purchasing power to try and keep costs down, but those extra hours contribute to paying the bills and thus making a profit at the end of the day. I think T.Martin is a total chump as regards his political views, but in terms of running a business he's succeeded in a sector where many have fallen by the wayside.

You would have thought Kelechi would be less than keen about working under Brendan again.

We've got Daka for that.

I'm beginning to think it's an advantage in the short-term to have such little progress on transfers in. It means RvN can concentrate on coaching the team and ironing out weaknesses (of which we had many).
