  1. Gah! I'd only just got used to using the name 'Goodnight'.
  2. Using the Ai prompt this answer came up Premier League records and statistics - Wikipedia
  3. Manchester United used to push that "theatre of dreams" slogan. Or maybe it was just the television presenters. In any case we don't hear that so much in recent years.
  4. Yeh I think the successes of the Clough years left a lot of delusional folk in their fanbase. Our own fall from grace came soon enough that we tend not to be so delusional. At least I hope we don't, I haven't heard our fans talk of the world-famous KP stadium.
  5. I think both teams have ridden their luck somewhat. Forest really had full command of the lucky stick when they fluked a result against Arsenal (who had umpteen near misses). But it's time for class to make its mark. We've got some excellent players in Fatawu, Vardy, Goodight and Mads. Let's demolish those Trees!
  6. Almost thought I was reading myself there... Another reason I can't stand them, I grew up in north Leicestershire when Forest lucked upon Cloughie and Taylor. All the glory hunter fans they had then. I quite like the city though. If only there was some way for the Trees to fold and for the established team Notts County to be the team for Nottingham folk to follow.
  7. Maybe it's not what the "bookies suspect" and more a reflection of how punters are betting ie the bookies alter the odds so they win as per weight of betting. Of course it could well be punters who "suspect our PSR troubles aren't behind us".
  8. Can't really expect folk who spout shite to be consistent...
  9. Yep. Gives the opposition something to worry about.
  10. Hopefully he'll learn his way through playing with Buonanotte and others. Should be able to make us forget about B in seasons to come.
  11. Yep. It's in the old folk song that begins "If I had the wings of an eagle.." and includes the line "I'd fly over Nottingham Forest..." Doesn't really work using "Notts"
  12. masterclass image incoming I suspect
  13. Is this the most adventurous selection we've seen from Stevie?
  14. That idea does show great imagination though!
  15. We've enjoyed it too, but both me and the missus are D Mitchell fans. Nice to see the scenic shots of Cambridge, but suspect they've filmed at 5 o'clock in morning to avoid the crowds. And that's an assumption too, surely the place is normally overrun by tourists?
  16. After the recent server problems I found the board was running slowly (I use the MS Edge browser). After consulting the Co-Pilot AI, The following steps helped restore a quicker board, so it may help others here. I clicked on the lock icon in the address bar (next to foxestalk URL) Selected cookies and then selected/deleted cookies to remove. By doing this the cookie cache was cleared. Of course this meant that when I re-logged in the "last position read" for each thread had gone, but that shouldn't take too long to re-populate. As I said, hope this is of use to some.
  17. You've inspired me to restart my "data research" on my London pubs website, in particular around Camden/Kentish Town. Not quite a comprehensive list, but getting there - use top filters to select Beer Gardens, or Cash accepted etc. Camden- Local pubs – London Pubs Directory (listlondonpubs.com) Already got entries for Paddington, Marylebone and Charing Cross. Still some gaps. Next big project will have to be Kings Cross.
  18. Tory MPs: James Cleverly: 39 (up 18 from last round) Robert Jenrick: 31 (down 2) Kemi Badenoch: 30 (up 2) Tom Tugendhat: 20 (down 1) Tugs knocked out. One more vote and then two names are passed over to the party members. I'm hoping Badenoch eases out Jenrick - the party members will wail over their "choice" of candidates. But if Jenrick's name goes forward he'll be favourite with the crazies.
  19. All ears at 3.30 pm. Tories announce the results of the next stage of the leadership ballot. Will Cleverly make it to the final vote?
  20. I get the feeling Cannon's going to make a perm move elsewhere end of this season, and then we never speak of him again. Very strange, he must have offended someone really badly. Perhaps left skid marks in a Thai hotel bed?
  21. Not going to fault the players he chose, but Manager of the week ??? I'm still Cooper IN, but he's lucked out in one or two games lately.
  22. Maybe Man U will look at this result and decide Coops is the man to replace Tin Hat.
