Wondering if Monga has been in the last 2 home squads, but missed the away game due to needing his own changing room etc as he’s only 15? Could be why him and Evans have alternated on the bench the last few weeks? Also because of the PL2 playoff against Soton on the Sunday can’t see many youth players travelling for this one unfortunately.

Don’t think as many will leave as we maybe think/ would hope. No one is daft enough to pay them what we pay. That being said hope we use our academy lads to replace most of those who do go. Genuinely don’t know where we go from here to see out the season. Struggling to come up with a squad of players who I wouldn’t absolutely hate to see wear our shirt again. In fairness Fabrizio has commented, who is a tier 1 source. That said think this is still unlikely, although I imagine he moves on in the summer anyway.

I don’t think as many will leave as we maybe think/ would like, because we pay our players too much, or clubs won’t pay what we want. Planning for worst case; ie. we go down and get hit with an embargo, we’ve still not got an awful squad at Championship level. What we need this January therefore is the same as what we need for the here and now. A Left sided defender, a striker and a Goalkeeper (otherwise we could be left with just 1 next year). Ideally we would also sign a winger and Mcateer could either be sold or loaned out. I also think we may keep hold of Bilal. Whilst he’s shown promise I don’t think he’s done enough to convince a club to spend c. £30m on him which we would likely demand to show a reasonable PSR profit. I don’t believe he’s been recalled as such. But is back at the training ground for his recovery. Think the initial diagnosis was c. 4 months from early Nov, so hopefully back March time could allow him to be available for Oxfords last 10 games or so of the season.

Reckon he will stay unless we get a replacement in. So Ruud has to say he’s staying in case we don’t get a replacement. If we do or need the squad place imagine that is when his loan is cancelled. Likely towards the end of the window. Good news Buo is staying
