  1. A couple of options i was looking at (haven't booked anything but still might do). Option 1 - Stansted to Perugia with Ryanair - 4th to 6th £35 arrives at 10.50 on the Wednesday and there are several trains to rome, return train to rome seems to cost 22 euros and takes just under 3 hours but looks pretty relaxed and lots of options. Option 2 East mids to Palma - Mallorca on either the Wednesday night or morning depending on if want a day on the beach in Mallorca or not. Both options £15. Palma to Rome 9am on Thursday for £9. Loads of cheap hotels in Mallorca. Obvious flaw in this plan of getting pissed up and missing the flight to Rome. Flight back via the train to Treviso and Treviso to East mids £5 flight. Hope that helps someone.
  2. Didn't realise there was an autocorrect on this site, W@nker not willy puller
  3. Now the RSPCA have taken his cats. U2 - with or without you tune: Zouma's a willy puller, Zouma's a wa-a-a-an-ker, And they took his cats away, And they took, And they took, And they took his cats away Zouma's a willy puller, Zouma's a willy puller
  4. Perhaps a more interesting question is which double would you prefer: A - FA cup and League cup B - FA cup and Europa Conference I can see the argument for B, a European trophy, all the winning trips that it would involve between now and then, it would be awesome but.... A would be massive, including the Community Shield that'd be the last 4 Wembley finals we'd have won, the new owners of Wembley! I think i'd prefer that. Always nice to dream on all accounts of course.
  5. Would be happy with either, or even just 1 of the 3, but to answer the original question definitely the FA Cup again if it was that or the League cup & Europa Conference double.
  6. Looking at last seasons results H Newcastle - L H Spurs - L A Everton - D A Man City - W H Liverpool - W H Norwich - N\A but equivalent Sheff U - W A Burnley - D H Brighton - W A Liverpool - L H West Ham - L A Wolves - D A Chelsea - L 15 points with the wins at Man City and Liverpool looking very unrepeatable.
  7. Sounds about right. I think on the realistic side change one of the draws to a win (say Norwich) and one of the losses to a draw (say Wolves) which makes 13 points. On the optimistic side i think when on form we would draw or win one of the 4 games against the big 3, so maybe put Liverpool (H) as a draw making optimistic hall of 23 points.
  8. There is the scenario of us winning tonight and losing in Napoli and Moscow and Warsaw drawing their game. That would leave the table as Napoli - 10pts Us - 8pts Moscow - 8pts Warsaw - 7pts I'm not sure if it's head to head tiebreak in which case we would have the tie break on Moscow, or Goal Difference, in which case we would have to win by more tonight than we lose by in Napoli. It's an unlikely scenario as Moscow and Warsaw are not just going to play out a draw that knocks them both out, but sometimes draws happen even when both sides are desperate for a result.
  9. The annoying thing is if we’d turned any of our bad results in to a good one then todays result would have been massive for us.
  10. I don't see how anyone is seeing this as a good result for us. We were already in a position to win both and finish top. What this result does is make Napoli more desperate to beat us as it removes the option for them of a draw meaning they top the group and we are second. It means for us that a draw is still good enough for second but unless Moscow and Warsaw drew with each other then the winner of that game would over take us. Seems to me it massively increases our chance of finishing 3rd (by beating Warsaw, losing to Napoli and there being a winner in Moscow vs Warsaw) or even 4th by losing or drawing tomorrow.
  11. Superb from all of you. The club should literally produce medals for it.
  12. Everyone saying 'this has never been an issue before', 'why hasn't this come up before' etc. It's only relatively recently that competitions stopped insisting on things like one team in light shorts and one team in dark shorts to help with those watching on black and white TVs. Traditional kit designs also helped with patterns like stripes, hoops etc So it really is quite a modern issue and quite right that sports start to make very minor changes that could actually appeal to traditionalists too.
  13. First disallowed one was similar to Norwich's disallowed goal. Second one Barnes was nowhere near the keeper or his line of sight, an absolute travesty added to the extremely dodgy penalty and it's another game where the officials have screwed us. Got to start playing better earlier in games, but we did enough for at least a point in that game.
  14. I voted Taylor. Because I vividly remember the whole period and think it was him as a manager that was a problem more so than at any other time. Looking at the stats I think McLintock is probably worse it’s just before my time so I don’t remember. Similar situation of taking over a good squad. Sousa and Sven massive disappointments. Holloway an idiot.
  15. Oh his name is vestergaaard leicester’s number 23 yes we’d rather have Fofana but he’s well hard and that’s enough for me.
  16. I assume this is inspired by Cov vs Forest yesterday. If \ when we have to go back then of course i'll still keep turning up (for home games at least), but my word it would be a struggle after all of this sustained success.
  17. Strongly agree, i remember saying that before the game to a friend, it was a brave selection because he put all the pressure on himself. He will now get criticised whatever he does for the next game too. If he changes a winning team and it doesn't work he will be criticised, if he sticks with the same team then people will say he should have gone more attacking. I think he will make 1 to 3 changes for Ukraine. I think Mount in for either Walker or Trippier and a shape change is very likely and then possibly Grealish or Foden for Saka and possibly Henderson for one of the defensive midfielders.
  18. All fair. I'd rather have a lucky manager than a good one. There's some things he does well in terms of challenging the 'same old England' mindset, i find him unconvincing but it's churlish not to enjoy nights like yesterday as an England fan.
  19. Happy with anything, but for me: Premier League (again) Champions League World Club Cup (you only get in by winning Champions League and you could call yourself the best team in the World!) FA cup (again) Europa League European Conference League cup Community Shield
  20. Definitely go to the game. The government are being ridiculous.
  21. Negative for me
  22. Can spin this the same way, numpties making out Europa League is complete failure - NO IT FUCHING ISNT My current scale of emotion based on league finishes (and ignoring the fact we've won the FA CUP!!) Champs League = Delighted Europa League = Disappointed from where we were but ultimately happy \ satisfied Missing Europe = Unhappy Relegation Battle = Very annoyed Relegated = Devastated, project in tatters Some people are acting as though missing out on the Champions League is like being relegated.
  23. Just seen the notes bit, they can still qualify for Champions League.
  24. That link has us in, we've qualified but still mathematically (at the moment) can get Champions League. Does that go for others in the list, or are Juve and PSG definitely in the Europa next year?
  25. If someone did buy it to build housing or flats on then they would have a good choice of road names to go with. Vardy Avenue, Schmeichel Street, might need to go something fancy like Morgan Boulevard to get Wes in though as i guess there might be most variations on Morgan Road, Close etc already.
