I'm convinced it was more the expected outcome being a fine that led the club to thinking they wouldn't really have to ever stop the spending. Another massive case of ineptitude but let's face it, they've just about pulled it off. If they'd have just set all panic alarms off last season and announced we are ****ed then everyone would have left sooner and no way we'd get Enzo. It was an extremely risky strategy but it's put Premier League money back in the account again at the first time of asking. So long as the punishment isn't THAT bad from the Premier League you could say it's all worked out as well as expected from last June onwards.

What's the point in banning betting sites from the front of shirts completely and beforehand banning them from kids shirts - but allowing a trading company on all? One look at the FBS site and the laughable social media they have tells you all you need to know. For the difference in how much we are talking, they could go and find a decent reputable brand to sponsor us. It's probably some friend of Top who owns it.

Anyone who is turning their nose up at this needs to remember where we have been for so many years. Id have given anything to see us win this league through the mid to lates 2000s. We might not be that club we were then but we should never take these kind of successes for granted because they don't come around often for clubs like ours. Clubs bigger than us have gone 40 years without winning anything.

I've never forgiven Jim from the club shop "empathising sincerely" with me because the Student season ticket got scrapped when I was travelling from Nottingham as a student every week and they were dishing out free tickets to DMU. In response he offered me 20% off at the club shop. 2 weeks later they were offering 20% off in the programmes anyway. If you're reading this Jim, I'll never ever forgive you.

Very well put. None of us are naive enough to think players in the main really care about the club but there's a level I expect. Maddison for instance could have easily requested to go before the relegation season and I class it as some form of loyalty that he gave us and Rodgers a year more. What Fofana did was the final nail in our coffin really for that season. A young lad with very bad people round him. It's actually worked out well for us though given how bad he's had it since. They'll be lucky to get anyting decent for him now.

I just mean from a cohesion, character and attitude perspective more than anything. I'm more than happy with seeing how Mavididi and Fatawu do. Not that we are in a position to be picky. It's definitely time to train Braybrooke in Winks role and throw Alves in too. Id hang on to KDH at all costs personally. I get the criticisms of him but i don't want the Premier League to mean we lose our connection with the players. Just look at Forest - a team of agent proposed "top level" names and they have absolutely no connection at all. They are screwed when they go down too.

They've restored faith in last few games. Showing this kind of character is exactly what the last group lacked. I'm not having it that this team is worse than the one that went down. A Tielemans actually trying was of course better, but give me the likes of Winks playing like this any day over that bunch of spineless cowards.
