Indeed, just the way this window and the last few years have panned out, nothing would surprise me! Can’t wait until this circus of a window is over and we can get on with whatever shower we’ve put together. Normally an optimist, but I can’t help but feel apathetic at the moment with how things have gone.

So we don’t know which Kaminiski we’re supposed to be buying! If anything could sum up how the club is being run it’s this! I’m sure he’s a decent shot stopper (if it’s the keeper!) but it screams Danny Ward 2.0 if it’s the case

Omorodion who Chelsea were going to pay £34m for has gone to Porto for £12.7m!

Couldn’t loan him straight to a premier league club I believe

Of course he’s not on that level. Round of applause on his return and move on. May have been a bit ott from some last night. Regardless of him starting on the bench or not, he was part of the side that got us there in the first place and played in the final as well. Made a positive contribution in his time here, sold for decent fee. Much more to be concerned about than a former player getting a decent reception. -

Achieved nothing with us ! I get he went missing (didn’t they all), but to say he achieved nothing is absurd. -

Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread

All I hoped for tonight was seeing some grit and fight, and I was pleasantly surprised with what we came back with in the second half. Gives the fans and the squad a big lift that second half performance. Thought Buonanotte had a good night 😉 and Fatawu grew into the game. Play like the second half this season, we aren’t as dead and buried as we might fear -
Pros: - Good age, time to develop and improve and potential resale value. - Improvement on Hamza, potentially Ndidi as well - Well thought of at the clubs he’s played for, reputation for grafting and getting stuck in, which we will need. - ‘Top flight’ experience Cons: - The most obvious one is the fee. £20m plus add ons is from the sounds of things, a significant portion of our budget. If we are weighing up if the same sort of money is right to spend on a promising striker, what makes us willing to spend that on Skipp (other than premier league experience) - Again probably more fee related, this signing doesn’t solve one of our biggest problems, which is a lack of goal threat and creativity from the midfield. Fully understand that is an area we will/should be looking at, but concerned that spending such a big chunk of money on Skipp isn’t going to allow us to do that. Buananotte may well be a very good addition, but he needs help. It is going to be interesting to see how Fatawu and Mavididi step up. I understand the championing of Alves, but I think getting some first team football out on loan would do much more for his development than staying with us in the situation we’ll be in this season. Hopefully we get this deal over the line, all be it overpaying I feel. I just hope there’s enough left over to strengthen in the most needed areas of the squad.

There is a lot of hysterics flying around, but to be honest, I understand it. Normally I would be disappointed I couldn’t make the first game of the season, but this time around I’m not fussed I’m working until 8pm! There are serious concerns with what is going on at the club, on all fronts: - The lack of communication and treatment of supporters. Being searched going into your home stadium, the ludicrous £25 charge on season cards, and no explanation of the financial picture, and what came from the ‘relegation review’. - The apparent lack of a recruitment strategy. The squad that snuck over the line at the end of the season, is significantly weaker in quality and depth. Why did we prioritise an untested centre half when we had many on the books, when the weakest part of the squad is midfield? Why have we deviated from the model that made us successful, bringing in up and coming talent, with strong potential and with future well on in mind, to a ‘model’ of ‘experienced’ players on high wages, with little resale value, allowing us to invest in the squad going forward. It is easy to see why people are worried, angry and even apathetic. The ten years of success that the hierarchy can certainly point to, they have conspired to unravel in the past couple of years. We’ve all enjoyed the unbelievable rollercoaster that has been the last 14yrs, and it is hard to come back down to earth with a bump. However, we should never have left ourselves in a position where one bad season could cripple us. Pushing the wage bill to the limit, and inaction from the top when it was clear to see the ship was heading for the iceberg, have in all likelihood put the kibosh on becoming an established top flight club again, in addition to PSR. This is my team, it always will be, but right now it is a real struggle to be positive about it.

Sold within an hour via the resale platform I’m afraid -
Blimey, when it’s in black and white that squad is frightening, and not for the right reasons

Managed to get row 8 in s block this morning with a decent view. Back from about row 30 from past experience, it’s like watching the game through a letterbox -
Fulham v Leicester City - 24 Aug 15:00

I managed 9 aways last year on all ST, I’ve managed more than that over the past few years fortunately, 13/14 aways in the prem on all STs in the Puel days. The only ones I missed last campaign that went to all STs was Norwich and Southampton due to other plans. I did Millwall twice, Blackburn, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Weds, Sunderland, Bristol City & Leeds. It is disheartening that despite going to as many as are available, you never get to catch up. I’m on 479 after last year, and now the lowest bracket is 550, so even if by a miracle I got to every away this season, I still wouldn’t be in that bracket and it would move on 50pts anyway. Missed out for Fulham of course, hoping to get to Palace and Arsenal. -
