  1. Well that was a mixture of emotions following along from Montenegro!! Sounds like Abdul changed the game. Hopefully earned himself a start vs Forest. Huge 3 points for us today
  2. We all know the pricing for this is ridiculous, but I don’t think it’s fair to the members who often don’t get many opportunities at league aways to be got at for paying the prices. I’m sure there’s plenty who resent paying it, but I guess they may look at it as using the money they would’ve spent on games they missed out on can be spent on the chance to watch us at Old Trafford. A chance they and their kids may not get ordinarily. Thankfully I’m working, managed to get the last ticket available for the league game on the bottom rung of priority (still!), but if I was still a member I would’ve definitely considered it, if it fit into my schedule and I’d not been before. Anyone going who got to Walsall in the last round should be being payed to go by the club after that sorry performance
  3. Still a hard watch but pleased to get over the line today. The lads are grafting and battling, which is pleasing to see. It isn’t the greatest watch, and I still remain hugely unconvinced by Cooper, his approach and in game management. I still feel he doesn’t fully trust in the abilities of some of his players. However, it’s clear he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Compared to the others who came up with us, we’ve put points on the board. Buonanotte was a pleasure to watch first half, and I’m more impressed with Okoli as each week goes by. It certainly wasn’t a good watch second half, but the result was all that mattered today. Hopefully we can back it up at Southampton. That would put 8pts between us with a win, which would be huge at this stage of the season
  4. That was a battle! Was hoping for two but had the same issue, all taken despite selecting. Managed to get one in the end. Booked parking on Salford Quays as was a quick getaway last time.
  5. Ausden Clark had a few seats left for coach two when I booked earlier.
  6. Pathetic. No plan, no urgency, no idea. A Cooper masterclass! He does not believe in his squad and what he has got to work with, and clearly hasn’t got a coherent plan to get us anywhere near being a threat. Best bit of the night was parking behind the away end, walking out whilst people were celebrating that s**t show and getting home by half ten. One of the worst I’ve seen in a very long time
  7. At least we’ll see Ricardo!
  8. I think it speaks to the quality of the game that I didn’t even notice the delay until I read it in the match report 🤣.
  9. Cautious Cooper strikes again. Let’s not try to win a 6 pointer! Crying out to put Fatawu up against Young for 20mins, gives him 4 mins and takes off our most attacking threat in Mavididi. Absolutely baffling decision! Two poor sides in a game of two halves. If we had a brave manager, we would have more points. I was happy to give him a chance when we appointed him, but on the evidence so far, he is completely the wrong fit for the job. I hope he will prove me wrong, but I can’t see it. Mavididi impressed second half, thought Okoli and Faes did reasonably well managing Calvert-Lewin. How Ricardo still can’t get any minutes in the premier league is beyond me!
  10. Coming to an end of a few days in Florence. Been on my list for years. Loved it, managed to avoid the worst of any rain. Climbed the bell tower and quickly learned how unfit it am! Did a day trip to San Gimignano and Siena as well. Montenegro next month!
  11. Conceded too soon after the second, then we dropped deeper as the half wore on and were blowing out our backsides last 15 minutes. Was crying out for Buonanotte to come on, someone who can take the ball up the pitch, turn in a tight space. The subs for me just invited them on further. Vardy was isolated and tiring, ball just kept coming back at us. Otherwise encouraged. Would’ve taken the point pre game, but very disappointed to drop two points at the end. Draw was probably the right result overall. Have to learn quickly and move on. Big game next Saturday
  12. How is Wilf still starting in the 10. Mavididi the only creative outlet. Buananotte should be starting
  13. What is with the away style security checks on the turnstiles now? Barriers, random searches. Most people walk straight through anyway, but it seems a bit overkill, especially nowhere near the away end. Nice to feel welcome at your home ground!
  14. If we turn up on Tuesday 17th, we might put a few goals away without Palace on the pitch!
  15. Ward was initially announced on the bench yesterday and then it was changed to Iversen. Either mistake on the team sheet put out, or Ward picked up a knock
  16. Came over at the end to applaud the home fans. Decent reception peppered with the odd boos.
  17. Sol Sol Bamba Awful news. RIP
  18. Awful performance from him. The ‘foul’ from Skipp was not a foul, yet alone a booking. The stop start nature of the game in the first half was unnecessary, and as for getting in the way of the ball, it just shouldn’t happen. He got the penalty call right at the end I have to say, the Villa man got the ball first then clattered Vards. I’m sure we’ll get worse during the season, but there was a definite feeling of them against us today.
  19. I didn’t think there was much in the game. The main difference was the use of the ball. First half we treated it like a hot potato, whereas Villa looked after it. The chances they had first half all came from sloppy passing. Villa had more players who can give you a moment when things aren’t going for you. For some reason we decide to keep all of our difference makers on the bench. For as useful as Ayew was, he isn’t taking on a full back and driving for the box. Fatawu is too easy to mark out the game if there’s no other threats. We waited too long to bring them on, and by then it was too late. In the words of the great Shakey, we are a better team when we play on the front foot. This was my first match since Cooper took over, and the obvious takeaway is that he needs to be braver. If we play as we did today, we will always be in games, but won’t pick up enough points to survive. Give the opposition something to be worried about. Mavididi made such a difference when he came on. Props to Okoli for a very good debut, second goal aside, but he’s young and new to this league, so I can let that go. Hermansen showed his importance to us. Skipp and Ayew had decent games. The less said about the referee the better.
  20. Was impressed today, first I’ve seen of him. Hopefully builds on an impressive performance
  21. Up to £15m+ for Stansfield!! Utter madness. Completely irresponsible at that level.
  22. Ben Nelson, but if he goes on loan maybe. Probably will get Albrighton’s number
  23. Leeds in for Ao Tanaka
  24. Ward in goal 3DM’s Ricardo starting
