  1. These idiots never learn, do they? Imagine Rowett turns us around just enough to put us clear, then we lose the appeal and the deduction is increased enough to take us down. King Power f*****ng OUT!!!!!!!
  2. by the way it would actually be really funny if the deal collapses after all this noise
  3. Be nice but realistically with our shower at the back, even a more disciplined back to basics approach is going to struggle to stop us conceding. Lots of 1-1 draws and scraping survival? Guess I'd take that right now.
  4. That was a one-off though, as it stands we're going to be two years minimum from even reaching the top flight again, and that would take a miracle with the current squad and ownership. Don't let your brother's generational bad luck prevent you from making the right decision for yourself. I'd say on current momentum, after 5-10 years it's far more likely that you'll be able to get a season ticket without even subscribing to the club's ridiculous membership scheme, they'll be that desperate to get arses on seats even if we're midtable in the second tier. It's going to take a Pearson-level revival to get the sort of momentum we had back in 2013-15 when thousands jumped on the bandwagon. I'm a hypocrite to be fair - I hold onto mine for my Dad's sake, as he's nearing retirement and I know it will help him with his poorly-kept secret that he hopes to go to every game home and away once he has the spare time. But if he ever turns around and says he's scaling it back, I'm binning mine off. I live 100 miles away now and I've got a non-league team on my doorstep who are ten times as enjoyable to watch. I've only been to three LCFC home games this season and they were all complete arse, it was just something to do while visiting family and friends. I could have quite happily done the pub all day rather than having two hours wasted raising my blood pressure between rounds.
  5. I love Wout Faes playing Champions League football against PSG being the footnote. As it should be.
  6. We met Matt Elliott walking down to the ground and Dad kissed him on the cheek for scoring at Wembley on his 40th birthday. Never forget it, not least because it was on our way into the second leg against Sevilla. Worra night.
  7. You can't tell me you don't want this to be the announcement video for our new owners
  8. Selling us to the Yakuza hopefully, so we can have a turf war with Forest and Marianakis
  9. Bastard shit arse no fuchs arse sort it out Boro
  10. He'll do. Whether he can get a tune out of this bunch of absolute melts is another question .
  11. I'm more emotionally invested in the outcome of this game tonight than our own results, despite the latter being part of an existential battle for us at this point. What's wrong with me? (Come on Boro)
  12. Two pints is the most dangerous lead - do i go home and chill or head into town and get absolutely Oliver Skipped?
  13. Total population of Leicestershire is 1.1 million people by the way, more than enough to justify a second club at a decent level if the willpower is there. There seems to be an assumption that it's not sustainable unless you're getting thousands through the gate but that's not true at all, most NLN/S clubs barely crack 4 figures most weeks. Club I follow gets 800-1200 most weeks and they're one of the best-supported in the 6th tier - that should be an aspiration rather than an expectation for any start-up.
  14. This is true, Hinckley got the closest but went to the wall. I guess Coalville are the best bet right now in terms of potential - Anstey is a lot of fun but their ground and location is a bit of a nightmare if they ever wanted to expand. Always baffled me that Loughborough in particular have nothing bigger than Dynamo (and nah, the Uni club doesn't really count). Quorn has been their de facto club for a while I guess.
  15. We really linking GBeebies? Surprised they haven't blamed it on the boats.
  16. Very entertaining stuff so far
  17. Must not lose for Hearts, this. Good game so far.
  18. Or 10,000 tennis balls I still think contrary to what some have said, the plane is a good idea. It's not about whether a specific action is going to acheive what it sets out in isolation - it's all about continued pressure and visibility of the discontent in multiple spheres - inside the ground, across the city and county, and in neutral spheres within the game. Our main fault as a fanbase has been failing to keep up an active protest week in, week out, in any notable form. Especially since a fair few have let it waver on the rare occasion we've won a game or two over these past few miserable seasons - I'll admit even I started to get a little carried away with the idea of us turning a corner with our single patch of good form in early December. Project Reset got column inches at a time when unrest against KP was considered a fringe view amongst the fanbase as a whole. Its main fault was being a one-off - there hasn't really been much else since besides the regular Rudkin Out chants, but I can see that changing from hereon out. The vital thing is not letting it peter out again after one week - the job is absolutely not done even if the Norwich game proves to be far more unanimous in support for the protest. Bit of a tangent but yeah, no reason a plane banner can't be part of wider actions on the day. But the key thing is for something - even just simple things like staying at the end or chants to sell up - to happen every week, home and away.
  19. Steady on, he's had one passable game against Nantes, who are complete relegation fodder. And Monaco still conceded. He didn't play in the bore-draw against Nice.
  20. Glad the route's changed this time - the route from Local Hero killed the last one off when the group got split in two by the crossing at Aylestone Road. I still think it would have been a lot more effective at the time if that hadn't happened - as it was, the group had completely split up by the time we all arrived at the ground, so there wasn't any visual protest, just a few geezers chanting about Rudkin on their way in. Think it should be drilled home for folks to wait on the other side of Walnut Street until everyone is together this time.
  21. This is objectively the lowest we have been in the Football League since September 18th, 2010, when Paulo Sousa's terrible start took us to 22nd in the table after an anaemic home loss to QPR. We'd ultimately end up propping up the table for a few games before Sousa got the sack after the debacle at Norwich. That's fifteen and a half years, and for the first time since King Power took charge (at the time there was a transitional joint-ownership between KP and Mandaric). And the worst thing? Few of us at the time doubted we'd get ourselves out of that slump at the time, especially when we acted early and got Sven in. We were a proactive club then, and of course it happened a month into the season rather than with 2 months to go. This is the pits by comparison. There's nothing to get behind, besides a naive assumption that a number of these players could step up a level - but we've had six months to see it now and it hasn't happened once. There's a painful inevitability to our demise, we all know what's about to happen. And of course, the feeling around the ownership is the exact opposite right now - there was excitement then around what the new leadership would bring, in terms of both investment and recruitment. Now it's so, so stale and there's no hope as a result.
  22. Couldn't do any worse, their clearance outlets are decent, that expertise would be most appreciated with our current squad!
  23. oh wait nvm ahahah
