Thats the thing for me, plenty of activity 1st week of July, something worth giving the club a "small" pat on the back for and its looks like other activity ongoing and we might be skint by mid July, so then they can get to it!!

Absolutely, he didn't get a lot of play, so Enzo saw an issue, he was a good finisher when he did score a couple of times, but for me, he didn't seem totally interested and his work without the ball came across lazy.

Really enjoyed getting involved over the last couple of years, really increased my interest in all things Lestah & City too, thanks FT

Anyway isn't watching England like watching Leicester over the last year years? Don't City always sit back after going one up, they certainly have over much of the last 3 years. Southgate has been lucky over the last 3 tournaments. His cock is severely on the block now. He has a great SQUAD of players, he has to find the 11-14 & formation to turn this around and no time to do it. We have to hit the knockouts with everything sorted. We're struggling without a left footed left back, the Trent experiment is a total failure, how do you get 3/4's as a minimum of the Man City Phil Foden to play for England in this tournament? How do you get this England side to keep pushing when they go 1-0 up? How do you get Kane to stay up front and not pass to the opposition for their goals? A lot to get an answer to in 90+ mins against Slovenia. In the additional minutes ensure your players (Kyle) don't take the fans for mugs, and Gareth (waistcoat & all) don't mention Kalvin Phillips again, you picked the squad, you have Mainoo in there if you want another defensive midfielder. Also being negative, pragmatic, defensive as a default has won you what so far as national manager...........NOTHING. Go out guns blazing with a squad that has guns blazing players in it!!!! If these lot click they can go close. -

But are you giving him a chance?? I guess most wanted Potter, BUT we fell asleep on the job & got relegated and the clubs bean counters can't count. Means we're back in the beggars can't be choosers box. Whether he's good or bad he won't last more than 3 years (none do really). And we had a good set up and players and still went down. Expectations are lower because of probable points deduction and limited funds. He's brought a team up, the club was a car crash, the owner a nutter, they stayed up - we have to do no more than that, anything else is a bonus. Thats HIS CV. He seems a decent guy, he's the manager the club have picked we will have to watch how this goes, lets hope it goes well, thats what we all want. The guy below in the end got a chance and even he was only here 20+ months.

I've got a work call to the States @ 5 till 6.30pm, so in the same boat, As above avoid all media AND often importantly gobby family, my mum cannot never not spoil my recorded sport!!! But you do know one thing unlike the Likely Lads episode with Brian Glover it won't be fogged off!!! -
Cooper will do, in the end we are desperate for a number of reasons. Its already taken 2 weeks, time we don't really have. Potter wanted to hold first for Manure, then perhaps England, we can't wait for that. Anyway look back, Brendan was our longest tenured manager since Martin & look at the rest of the Premier League, massive managerial churn repeatedly. There are 3 options: 1) Like Enzo, he is successful & is poached, success is him being successful coz we will be 2) If he is rubbish, we probably expected it and he'll be gone before the end of the season 3) Most managers don't last longer than 3 years these days It won't be for life and the managerial landscape is bare. He's just gone through much of the same process with Forest, so he knows whats involved. Potter was the preference but time dictates we needed somebody in, importantly he is backed with the limited financial resources we will have and GOOD BUYING decisions are made, not Daka, Soumare, Bertrand etc. And finish 17th and then onwards & upwards, thats all we need to do, anything else is a bonus, the "club" need to make sure they don't fall asleep on watch this time!!!!

We have 3 Man City players in that team, they more than anybody should understand the importance/value of keeping the ball, we did it once in the last 30mins and really drew the sting. But the worst culprit was Foden (and I'm a big fan). He forced it/gave it away at least 3 times in the last 30 mins. He is and does really struggle in an England shirt. Everybody knows Bellingham was MOTM BUT Rice was monster too. And Guehi aside from one mistake was a real bonus. Focus on keeping the ball in the last 2 games, really work on that area. -
FSA - All Party Commitment to Independent Regulator
The boy Linacre replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Martin Samuel "The Voice of Sport" has been writing about this a lot in the Times since he moved there an maybe before. I am sure everything we see in Football over the last 10 years+ points to regulation required BUT will they be INDEPENDENT????? The role is being created by the government/parliament based on the Football Government Bill and includes the following requirement: Annual report - the IFR will need to submit to the Secretary of State a report outlining all of the activities it has undertaken in a year. The report will be laid in Parliament and available for the public to see. This is standard practice for all public bodies. So the IFR would always do what is best no matter direction that takes and NEVER acquiesce to the Secretary of State's view. So for example should Man C or Newcastle breach PSR??? As Britain is so "in bed" with Saudi, UAE etc. and desperate to be so, there will be no government pressure via this IFR. And's Martin's sentiment was that seeing what a good job the government has done for the country as whole this century, of course they will make this a roaring success Much of the leg work has been done by Department for Culture, Media, and Sport. The same one that reversed its objection to Russian participation at the Paris Olympics. ‘The policy reversal wasn’t announced publicly… Stuart Andrew, the sport minister, sent it out via a private letter to the IOC" I'll be an interested observer of this over the coming months and years. Lets hope this really does take the right approach and make decision for the good of the game and the fans. -

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
The boy Linacre replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Has anybody anywhere got any ideas about when we actually might find out what is happening to us deduction wise AND whether we can spend any money AND how much?? As big as Enzo leaving is, this is the BIG issue to get an answer to and the sooner the better for us to plan for next season and the future as a club. -
Also if we're are not quite sure??? We are in a massive financial hole ANY Income is vital, play ABSOLUTE hardball, £8-10m, means £10m!!!! Pretend the club is run by experienced business people that do this for a living!!!!

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
The boy Linacre replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Couple of questions; 1) When will we actually know?? It would be very beneficial to be as soon as......So the club can do something they are really bad at "planning" 2) Are we that much worse than Forest & Everton? ON the PSR front...... 3) Presume we haven't got 115 cases to answer?? So Man City heading down to the National League then? -
Soumaré - Sevilla currently - They have no cash
The boy Linacre replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
WELL we don't ship on any players to the London bank of Leicester, unless they are guaranteed to miss hundreds of games, see Fofana, Drinkwater, Chilwell, even Kante got a bit less reliable when he left. -

Why is he another Leicester player going to Chelsea?? Hope so -
TBF I've just looked at the manager list AND I feel a bit more optimistic. We seem to want Potter but I doubt he'll come here. Moyes would be pragmatic, results based choice, as good a chance as any to keep us up, thats all we need. Then the bolters like Rob Edwards or Mark Robins, don't want Corberan as hasn't managed in the top flight and what has he actually done in the Championship, play off failure. Most importantly can the powers that be made the flipping decision about the level of points deduction if any, that'll have the biggest impact!!!
-
Not deflated BUT expectations are worryingly low. We're awaiting our points deduction fate which have a massive effect on spirit and vibes in the club this summer AND who we can attract. We have an ownership and club hierarchy that none of us feel very confident in on the football front, after repeated errors the last 3 years, looking for rabbits out of hats here!!! That group is not the most nimble. quick or agile AND we need a new manager AND a bit of a player clearout and 4-6 new players in. We are about to lose our manager and don't know if that will mean a total change of playing style and what effect it will have on what's left of the squad and the new signings. 17th will be a success NOW and that means not a great season because you will lose a lot of games. Not deflated BUT expectations are worryingly low.

Can somebody send me a link or a "how to" as I will be paying the £25 tax and buying a card rather than mobile for next season and can't see how you do it, sorry, sure its on somewhere but can't find it.
