Let's be honest, Bologna were 100% correct to not value Kristiansen at his £15mil option to buy. They are not the villains for being sensible and not wanting to splash out on players that arent worth it. Castagne was a perfect test case for why Rodgers is a mediocre coach. Joined us after being coached by Gasperini, who is world class. First season with us he had a great footballing IQ, always making the right runs going forwards and read the game intelligently when defending. At that point in time he was better than Chilwell and one of the best fullbacks in the league. Fast forward to our relegation season and he was constantly playing the opposition onside and was all over the place defensively. He had become a complete donkey that gave the likes of Amartey and Faes a run for their money in terms of pig headedness. You almost have to treat Castagne in his debut season and his final season as two different players. In the first season he was an important part of the FA cup win, in his last he was a key factor in our relegation.

The number one question any manager needs to be asked before appointed is: Are you, at any point, going to start a football match next season with any of Reid, Ayew, Soumare, Faes, Coady, Vestergaard, Soumare, Kristiansen playing? If so they cannot be allowed the job.

He looked class when he played for us last season. Also I know youre going to say that Vestergaard and Faes also looked good but they got exposed a lot last season but weren't punished due to the lack of quality. He can defend at least which none of our others can do.

Salah is one of the best players in Premier League history and he had Bradley, Szosboslai, Macallister creating chances for him. When youre partnered with Wout Faes and Soumare it's impossible to keep track of him at all times whilst also covering any tricky runs from the other Liverpool players down the flank. Yes salah did find space a few times and should have scored but Thomas won the majority of their head to head duels which is about as much as you can expect from someone in his position.

He was never as good as he was made out to be at the time. His movement and finishing isn't good enough for the PL, he just got a lot of the ball due to playing for a dominant Celtic side. It's similar to how most of our players looked class in the championship and poor in the PL, it's easy to look good when playing at a lower level.

What else is he supposed to say?

It would have just delayed it. We would have just used the money to bring in more players that don't fit the squad and given players even more absurd contracts. For example in the summer of 2020 our main target that we missed out on was Odsonne Edouard. It's not like if we had the money we would have made good investments.

His success with Brighton makes more sense when you look at the team at his disposal. Macallister, Gross, Caicedo, Trossard, Lallana getting 8th with these players is really the bare minimum.

Alves is technically not a Seagrave product. He was 15 when it was built. The first Seagrave generation of talent is undeniably better than what came before it, it may be because of quality the training facilities or because Leicester could attract better talent following recent success. The question is how has this £100mil investment benefited the club, the first team has collapsed in performance and quality since it was built and it doesnt matter if we produce elite level talents if they just get poached by Liverpool and Man City anyway. If the likes of Monga, Evans, Page etc make it to the first team and perform at the level we hope they will then that will be a positive for Rudkin, just because he is overall a bad influence at the club does not mean some of his decisions won't pay off.
