Ex Players - They used to play for us
honeybradger replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's quietly become a starter for them. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go on to have a very good career. -
The loss of Olise is on a different galaxy to Ayew and Andersen for Crystal Palace, I cant imagine any fans saying that he wasnt their biggest loss. Andersen and Ayew you can compare but Olise is one of the best players for Bayern Munich right now and arguably one of the best in the world. It would be like us losing Okazaki and Mahrez after our title win and saying we miss Okazaki the most.
-
Is it too early to dub him the Ghanian Gareth Bale?
-
Rubbish . I've heard that the loss of Andersen may not be as important as the loss of Ayew but bloody Olise! Olise's performances made Crystal Palace one of the best teams at the end of last season whilst Ayew was riding the bench.

Imagine if everyone booed every player that used to play for one of their rivals! We only boo our own ex players around here. -
Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21
honeybradger replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Arsenal fans initially wrote off Saliba because he was crap when Arteta dropped him to the U21s. Now he's one of the best centre back in Europe. Writing off a player because of an U21 match is silly. -
Forest win is the best result probably. We want Wolves and Crystal palace to get as few points as possible as long as possible for us to stay up.

Would rather nelson is 3rd choice than a new signing. Only if one of okoli or faes leaves.

Sad to see Baybrooke not getting minutes.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Rutter will create chances for you guys and is also probably better at dribbling than buonanotte but he will also miss a lot of easy goals like he did at Leeds. Buonanotte on the other hand seems like a natural finisher and is only going to get better. If you bought Rutter at the expense of Buonanotte I feel like that transfer could end up being one of Brighton's biggest mistakes. -
All credit to me, managed to jinx them in time.

How are wolves going to nick a point against man city? Fair play to them.

Fatawu shooting when he shouldn't led to our second goal yesterday. Personally I am fine with him skying a couple because he is one of the few players i have seen who can score at that range. For some reason a section of our fanbase has no tolerance for trying to score from outside the box, if anything the frustration seems to come from our fans rather than Fatawu, who know he has the quality to keep trying despite the groans when it doesn't come off. Also Fatawu is the saviour and I won't hear otherwise, for comparison Lookman finished 8th in the Balon d'or last season and Fatawu has a higher ceiling than him. We genuinely have a potential worldy on our hands, if you're not comfortable getting off the fence that's fine but most of us recognise we have a special player on our hands.

He has started 3 games, of his starts he was the best player on the pitch for either team against Spurs (the same level as yesterday over 90 mins against a top 6 side), played well against Fulham and struggled a bit against Aston Villa. I would say that for a player in a struggling side he has done well so far this season when he starts. His main struggles this season have come from him coming off the bench at 80+ minutes with not enough time left to make an impact, yesterday with 40 minutes of playtime he showed he can decide games at PL level when given enough opportunity. In my opinion Fatawu is the opposite of how you say he is, the longer he spends on the pitch for us this season the more games he is going to decide for us. It is seriously strange to me that some fans can watch Fatawu with the quality that he has and decide that he's an impact sub. The kid is absolute stardust and should be a starter for us from now till the day he leaves us as quite frankly at 20 years old he is already too good for this side, let alone too good for our bench.

Bilal El Khannouss joins - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
His ability to find passes between the lines is impressive, reminds me of Tielemans. That turn for the shot was excellent too. There is a seriously good player in there I think, I would try and get him, bounanotte and two wingers into the same side. -
Nonsense, he was arguably the best player on the pitch in the spurs game and he did also did well in every other game he started. He gets underrated because he takes some wild shots which look ridiculous but the rest of his game is very good.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
They thought they had the draw locked in when he came on and fell asleep for the corner. -
We are as close to top 5 as we are to the relegation zone. Cooper is quite frankly turning water into wine.
-
Best manager we have had in a while. This strategy of leaving our Fatawu/Mavididi on the bench and have them force their way into the side has seen them perform to new levels.
-
Would have been an easy goal without Ayew trying to block it.
-
Anyone expecting us to compete with PL teams are reactionary. Look at Burnley, Sheffield United etc last year, class in the championship but crap in the PL. We simply arent able to compete financially with teams at this level and Cooper isnt to blame for that
-
To be fair Kasper has always been incredible for Denmark. Even after he dropped off for us he was still in his prime for them. At club level Hermansen is definitely the better goalkeeper currently though.

Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th
honeybradger replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
Southampton are crap by PL standards but we are also crap by PL standards. We could be their first win of the season. -
No one is going to be asking questions about Mcateer, Ayew or Bobby Reid starting Cooper. The reason questions are being asked about Mavididi and Fatawu starting is because they are our two best options, people arent asking questions for the sake of it.
